It's extremely strong, if not the strongest, out there because most gachas have extremely large casts that largely don't interact with each other too much in both gameplay and story, and they keep introducing FRESH NEW HOT CHARACTER every other week to muddy the waters.
LC does a lot of things that are atypical of most gachas, such as having a purely independent 'player' character who acts and speaks of their own accord, and a relatively small and confined group of 12 murderhobos. It's only right that you'd be emotionally invested with them, even the player character, if you're stuck with only them.

@@simj202 And they didn't start out as a tight knit group pulled together by a just, joint cause. They were (and still are somewhat) a bunch of disfunctional lunatics and literally half of them killed each other within minutes of their first proper introduction. We saw those bonds slowly form as they opened up and began understanding and respecting each other more, making it all the more worthwhile.
It's not just a bunch of stock phrases you get in every anime, you really feel the meaning behind what they are saying. Heathcliff who was angry for the K-Corp border incident but admitted he kinda wanted to step in himself. Yi-Sang who Don helped rekindle his will to live and didn't want to lose a companion again.
