King is OP as soon as there's delay and rollback frames and a natural 100+ms delay, then he's just op when your break inputs gets snuffed by rollback frames
Lol he is not OP you’re just not good at fighting him, he’s actually one of the worst characters in the game. He’s extremely slow, his air juggle that could do 50% damage is 10 times harder to do than everybody else’s, his heat is almost useles, the only thing he is good at is mixups hi mid low (that you could interrupt very easily once you figure them out) i’ve been using him since Tekken 3 and he’s so bad in Tekken 8 I stop using him, once I got to blue rank with him.

Shes pretty complex with acces to tons of low which make match up tricky if you dont know her but ehr damage is so low right now i was stunned when i tried another character. It takes 4-5 attacks to do the damage of a single Jin punch. She need a bit of a buff, not by alot
As a Leo main I think he's pretty broken when it comes to wall carry and wall damage beacause he gets a unscaled stomp for example all together I get like 99 damage thats 60% HP LOL if your able to KNK cancel you can do way more. His neutral game is not the best but when you get launched it's gonna hurt.
As a Zafina main for 15 years. I think she needs buff. I don't get it why they would bring her back to the game only to destory her completly in T8. I personally love her gameplay mechanics in T7 rather than in T8. Well, will see if they would buff her later. She has really lots of potential but again they destroyed her. 🥺😭😭
zafina rajin in this game and tekken god rank zafina in t7 here she plays diffrent but her damage is insane in this game the only things she lacks is power crushes wich she has in heat mode if your getting low damage your not using her properly
I disagree with Victor. His only superbroken tool was his grabs which will be fixed today. His sword moves are sidestepable and some other important moves have bad frames on block (df2 has -14f on block). I would put in a little op tier just for having the u1+2 that can dodge some attacks other characters cannot and the glock for zoning (its duckable tho). That's it.

Yeah Victor's most annoying move can be sidestepped but it just does way too much damage and way too safe for how high priority it is. If he's got it active, then attacking him is always a huge risk and that's totally broken. His gun and swords against a cast of hand to hand fighters is BS.
As a Shaheen main i can say that Shaheen has some gimmicky moves, but they are nowhere as bullshit as the meta characters. I often find myself to work harder and work around opponents offense to get victory.
As an alisa main in tekken 6, even i cant deal fighting against her in 8. She's gonna fly at you then suddenly abort then into destructive mode and boom, get combo'ed
My mains in Tekken are Raven(I mainly use Raven because he resemble Naruto characters in his unorthodox fighting style approach and because he's very unique and authentic, he's my trump card back from T5) and I admit it that If you don't adapt to his matchup he can definitely be annoying to fight against him. Hwoarang and Jin( these two are like the symbol of Yin&Yang☯️ in my eyes, they were my mains when I was starting to play Tekken 3 for the first time many many years ago, I also like it to use Eddy Gordo as well because of his Capoeira style of fighting). My List of annoying characters that I don't like to encounter/face are: Jun, Victor, Azucena, Dragunov, Xiaoyu, King, Devil Jin, Reina(sometimes), Yoshimitsu, Feng, Jack8, Nina, Alisa and Lili. So almost the entire roster I know... 🤷🏻♂️😅🙆🏻♂️✌️

Victor is really easy. Im completely new to Tekken and new to fighting games in general and victor just plays the game for you. You can just spam 2 and get free damage and pressure in low ranks. And in higher ranks he still has really good moves like his power crush and such. Thats why i switched to lars to work on my fundamentals and make the game a little less cheesy. Lars is still pretty cheesy though but nowhere near as brain dead as victor.
After playing Reina to tenryu, I can whole heartily say that 95% of people don't understand the match up at all. She has the lowest win rate online of all characters and I also believe that is because Reinas don't understand how to utilise the movelist. she's still A tier tho but definitely not broken all.
Jack is pretty damn good because he has strong pokes, and his heat smash is dumb as hell because it has a 10 frame start up. Not to mention he’s always had a weird body size so it’s hard to get your spacing right against him.

The issue is he has different grabs that you have to guess. Yes it's mostly one or two breaks but it's ambiguous. And you pretty much have to just pray and mash either combination of one, two or both. Some pros even do that because it's a guessing game

You should main whoever you want. Keep in mind, no matter who it is, some people are gonna hate on u for using that character. I mean Hwoarang and always have people telling me to pick a REAL character. So it is what it is. I do suggest trying the new characters tho, they're pretty cool.
I started to main victor, with by learning a few combos, i realised one hes a little broken or simply people dont know his moves just yet. I havnt decided. Im on reds with a few hours of play though 😅

Claudio is bad. He got 20 moves nerfed in either 1 to 3 aspects. 2 A tier moves removed from Tekken 7. His lows are all terrible with the exception of ss4. Azucena high and low counter in her stance is Literally pointless Because When ur in the stance u force a 50/50 or poke if u Play against a Good Player her counter never gonna happen even once not to Downplay her she is really Good but it's Not Because of this stance
Honestly ngl as kazuya player I think he's a little underwhelming, mostly due to his being. Honestly one of the worst in the game. You have some good options but rest? Why even use them. And being minus 14 on. His heat smash is kind of also a big question mark because it deals less damage than heaven's gate hellsweep (even though it's launchable on hit) but it's kind of, might as well use it over heatsmash. It is a bit of whining maybe, but honestly I'd say kazuya needs some buffs to compete with other Mishimas because if you in it just for the win and not the characters devil jin or even reina (who I think is bit more perfectly balanced than kazuya) are better for less investment
Victor once you know the match up is decent, I would say swap him with Feng, Feng is too strong, Reina is only strong in the hands of an advanced player

Lily Nina and that goofy robot chick with the chainsaw arms are among the most annoying characters to play this game seems to cater towards button mashing endlessly into a wall then some how continue to combo as your on the ground tracking while you try and roll out of the way or some how connect an attack as you just try to stand and forget about laying there they just continue to spam
Lars I agree is a bit OP, there's something about him in T8 that made him EXPONENTIALLY stronger than T7 and that's he FINALLY has a good reason to use his uf3+4 jump it's a GOOD panic and an amazing move when you KNOW someone is going to use a WR move against you. That shit will beat almost ALL WR move. That and his newest df2 isn't a substitute for his old T6 df2 but oh god, the amount of times I catched people with it is INSANE. His newest 10f punish is actually insane because he has WAAYYYY too many option from it, he can do a low that turns into a hellsweep in heat or a mid that launches in heat AND he has an option to NOT do any of that move and just stay ducking so now you have a mixup from his crouching status.

You should main whoever you want. Keep in mind, no matter who it is, some people are gonna hate on u for using that character. I mean Hwoarang and always have people telling me to pick a REAL character. So it is what it is. I do suggest trying the new characters tho, they're pretty cool.

Honestly as a raven main ill put him in between lil buff and perfect not to be bias but his attack are kinda slow compared to most characters but his heat tho i will say it's kinda supid mainly kuz the range of it but that's what ill say

Claudio is bad. He got 20 moves nerfed in either 1 to 3 aspects. 2 A tier moves removed from Tekken 7. His lows are all terrible with the exception of ss4. From 7 hit counter hit launchers to only 1 now. No grab game, stagger game weakened. His new moves are dog poop compared to what the rest of the cast got.

Victor isn’t broken. Everything is either stepable or punishable.
Raven isn't op at all. His clones are duckable and steppable. You can check him after a heat clone and is super unsafe on a lot of his mixups.

Honestly ngl as kazuya player I think he's a little underwhelming, mostly due to his being. Honestly one of the worst in the game. You have some good options but rest? Why even use them. And being minus 14 on. His heat smash is kind of also a big question mark because it deals less damage than heaven's gate hellsweep (even though it's launchable on hit) but it's kind of, might as well use it over heatsmash. It is a bit of whining maybe, but honestly I'd say kazuya needs some buffs to compete with other Mishimas because if you in it just for the win and not the characters devil jin or even reina (who I think is bit more perfectly balanced than kazuya) are better for less investment

Lily Nina and that goofy robot chick with the chainsaw arms are among the most annoying characters to play this game seems to cater towards button mashing endlessly into a wall then some how continue to combo as your on the ground tracking while you try and roll out of the way or some how connect an attack as you just try to stand and forget about laying there they just continue to spam

Lars I agree is a bit OP, there's something about him in T8 that made him EXPONENTIALLY stronger than T7 and that's he FINALLY has a good reason to use his uf3+4 jump it's a GOOD panic and an amazing move when you KNOW someone is going to use a WR move against you. That shit will beat almost ALL WR move. That and his newest df2 isn't a substitute for his old T6 df2 but oh god, the amount of times I catched people with it is INSANE. His newest 10f punish is actually insane because he has WAAYYYY too many option from it, he can do a low that turns into a hellsweep in heat or a mid that launches in heat AND he has an option to NOT do any of that move and just stay ducking so now you have a mixup from his crouching status.
