@@Vex_Offroad 50/50 chance I welded it then. I was there from 19-21. Only 2 of us welding everything coming out of there. Was a great shop to work at. The owner was just ready to move on and onto other business ventures, unfortunately!
@@LS_FAB Pretty cool to know! I saw when they were selling the business and it pained me that it was on the other side of the country and I couldn’t buy it lol.
Did you by chance stretch the axles any , been looking to do a build similar but was told I should do the 6inch stretch to fit those tires since I have a 2 door as well.
Nope! It’s still stock wheelbase. Soon I will be doing an 8” stretch that I will try to document the best I can on here. It does well on the east coast the way it is. But out west where the rocks are grippier steeper climbs are possible if I had more wheelbase. I’ll have some videos coming up from Sandhollow where you see the stock wheelbase holding me back.
If you were starting over again would you buy a rubicon? I see all these builds and everyone ends up replacing all the parts that you pay extra for in a rubicon.
Probably not. I’d probably start with a Sahara. The extra money I got from selling the stock Rubi stuff was nice, but definitely didn’t outweigh the cost difference. I originally bought this jeep as a daily because I had a stretched TJ so buying the rubicon made sense. Then the TJ sold and things got out of hand lol.
@@Vex_Offroad i did the opposite. I just bought a sport and I’ll probably regret not getting something a little “better.” I wish you luck with your new channel!
Just curious not trying to sound negative. How does your order videos only have -/+ 100 views and then this one has 500+ and was suggested to me? I'm not trying to sound negative just curious how this thing works lol.
To be completely honest, I have no idea lol. I haven’t linked it anywhere on social media, and fully expected about 30 views on it like everything else. I did pay attention to the thumbnail though to make it a little more eye catchy so maybe that’s it? How did you come across it?
Sick Jeep Pete and congrats on the wedding
Thank you!!
you got me just with the 2 door jeep, new member here 🤙🏻 good luck 🍀 with your channel Pete !!
Thank you! 2 doors have more fun!
Nice intro video! I'd say your delivery and presence on the camera are quite good and will only become easier for you. Love the build too!
I appreciate that! Definitely need some more time in front of the camera!
Look into the baxter oil adapter, it'll eliminate some of that startup rattling! Great video
Just waiting on the inevitable oil leak! Then I’ll most likely go that route 👍🏻
Sick build thank u for sharing
I have a 2015 2 door sahara
Thanks for the kind words!
Diggin the jeep. Depending on when you got that VKS bumper I may have been the guy who welded it up!
Awesome! I love this bumper, it’s a shame VKS dissolved. I bought it in 2020 I believe.
