What do you eat now? Which way is better for UC, Carnivore diet or without meat (berries, banana, some vegetables like fermented)? I am confused. I know that i must avoid food like white bread (because of gluten), beans, sugars…

Thank you for some great insight Luke. My UC came out of nowhere several years ago. I ended up in the hospital for ten days and lost 50lbs because my doctors could not diagnose. I've been taking 50mg of Azathioprine, but quit on my own four months ago because my face was so red working in the sun all day, even when constantly applying sunscreen and didn't want to get skin cancer. Have also changed my diet and exercise. I feel great and have no more symptoms. My Dr was not happy and said I need to be on medication for the rest of my life or I will get colon cancer. Do you have any advice for me?
    Phil

Hello. How do I prevent diverticulosis from worsening. I tried fiber as recommended online, but that doesn’t really stop them from bulging out from my colon. I have a Hiatal Hernia, fatty liver, gallstones, and oxalate sensitivities now; never had it before. Please help. Thank you.

I have put my UC into remission from past 5 years , this subject is very close to my heart , anyone needs anything more help on this apart from his brilliant advice . Please feel free to ask me . P.S : One more thing it's all trial and error in UC , you need to note down your flare up food and avoid when treating UC , it can be the most healthy food but it needs to be avoided strictly.

@@Joe-rc2jv very good question. Diet is personal to everyone. You have to be very diligent and note the things you eat in your daily routine and then see what flares you the most and stop eating until you go into remission.

What you say is great. But Most doctors do not want to stop medication. According to them you have to stay on for the rest of your life…..
