So many people talk about how sweet and beautiful her singing voice is and I'm one of those people that have said that many, many times over the years ... but her speaking voice is just as sweet and beautiful as her singing voice! I'm so glad I watched this interview because it's the first time that I've heard her everyday speaking voice. I could listen to her just talk ( about anything) all day long. Anyone that meets her in person can consider themselves "The Lucky One" ... I mean to gaze upon her natural beauty and listen to her sing or talk would be sooo privileged! What an amazing talented beautiful woman Alison Krauss is! Once again... I'm so glad I watched this video!
Make so much of a big deal about it being her first solo album in 17 years, but no mention of her work with Union Station, man she's so much more than a solo artist, she's a fkn goddess, greatest singer that has ever lived in my opinion.
F Adele. I, one morning, woke up to Alison playing on my wake up radio. It’s a moment I’ll never forget. I seriously thought an angel was singing as I slowly awoken for the day. I’ll never forget it!
Apparently Alison is, for many high profile music artists, to be their first choice. Dolly Parton says she always asks if Alison is available. She does a lot of duets and even backup when asked. Shania sought her out to travel with her. I read that it's her amazing talent...she makes them better...plus her professionalism. Watch her duets or when she is backup, she is often the better vocalist but she never tries to overpower or putting someone. Watch her with Shania Twain, Alison could definitely hold a note better and longer than her, but she doesn't do that...always a lady, always a professional. Watch her and notice how she watches the people she is singing with....whether duet or backup so she ensures she is always in harmony with them. Love love Alison!!!
Lovely interview straight and to the point . Alison Krauss`s approach to song and story leaves nothing to be desired - wonderful Artist , keeps it simple and the results speak for themselves .
I fell in love with Alison's music 20 plus years ago and I still get blown away. I have to wonder though when she agrees to so these interviews. She is so shy, it must be very difficult for her to come out in front of the cameras and be relaxed and natural. I know she has to do it to promote her record but I get the feeling she's just scared to death. Love you Alison!
A very solid, honest, sweet, kind, intelligent, humble and talented person...and she's very pretty too. Great combo. I'm glad I saw her when she was just starting, opening for Tony Rice in a small club; we became instant fans.
@@rhondawebb7985 music is for listening, not to read just the titles alone. Funny but in another interview Krauss says she likes sad songs with a story because it reaches an emotional level that she feels compell to tell. These interviewers are telling her.. if I just read the song titles alone, I might as well jump off the bridge because it's "quite meloncholy, isn't it?"
And Alison is not necessarily less famous. Adele, just like others, hear her, and realize just how amazing she is. I know that here in America, there are areas that know nothing about pop or rap music, and we're talking about the majority of the country. Yes, in the big cities, but if you drive, and get out of a big city, all you hear is country and in some cases, bluegrass and that's where Alison and Union Station shines. And even in the big cities, O Brother Where Are Thou? Put them and bluegrass on the map. One of the best selling projects of the 2000's, so she's very well known, and of course, very well respected by her peers, which is the reason she has so many Grammy awards. Those awards are not just for singing solo or with Union Station, but some are for producing other artists. You would be hard pressed to find someone more respected than this lady among her peers. What gets me is that she's a little embarrassed by it all. If you saw the Grammy awards when she and Robert Plant swept everything, you got the feeling that she was a little overwhelmed by it all, even after all those awards. The same thing happened when they won all those Grammy awards for O Brother. Such a great, and gracious talent. Expect Grammy nods for Windy City as well with the upcoming Grammy nominations this year.
It's so disappointing to hear an interview with Alison Krauss when the interviewers don't even know her music. These questions were so vanilla. She's so kind in answering all of them too. "Country".. pft.
Wow lots of critical people want to tell a many time Grammy winner how to run her career. Really. I love this woman I got to meet her and she is such a sweet and humble lady. Give her a break she like adel
It is an instance where the British interviewers seem to have so much less class than the calm and wise demeanour of this incredibly talented lady from the US.
Kaa-chi the most beautifulest woman in this world you have to love her I love her to death I would marry her heart she is the woman of my dreams God bless her and may God always keep her safe she is so beautiful and so many ways❤❤
I always thought it was strange that Alison was always getting cold, even when it's not very cold at all. Where she grew up they had some tough winters. Anyway... almost every television studio is kept at a low temperature. Reason is because it can get too warm when the lights come on. Dave Letterman used to keep his studio as cold as a walk-in refirgerator. You could hang raw meat in there for months!
It wouldn't hurt to have someone who actually knows what they are talking about (and whom they are talking with) do these interviews with music artists. These two have butchered previous interviews with musicians... and much worse than this Alison vs Adele charade.
adele is different than Alison Krauss, is not the same,is not the same genre music.adele one Grammy Prize versus Alison Krauss with 27 Grammy Awards Prize's.That is ideea.
LOL! Funny how British folks mention the disparity and loneliness of bluegrass and country... Have they listened to their own folk and Celtic tunes? That's where bluegrass and country's roots are! =)
nice ,but are you sure ,about blue grass ,roots?when i am listening blue grass i am touching sonething with roots saxon from Germany and something very french ..not. british, blue grass? favorit music for SS Hugo Boss.
You know all those Scots, Irish, English, Welsh folks who were sent over or immigrated over to America? That's absolutely where bluegrass came from! Specifically the people who settled in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, West Virginia, etc and brought their music with them. Some really good examples of how intertwined they are would be Jerry Douglas and Aly Bain's Transatlantic Sessions series 1-6 and The Chieftain's World Wide Over vol 1 & 2. You could also look up some history on Bluegrass...the internet is full of music history! =)
Look folks , these Studios for talk shows or News casts have to keep the rooms cold . Otherwise the Makeup on the Interviewers or guests faces would run all over their faces 😂✨🌟💫💥🔥🙉🙈🙊😏😎😬😵🌈🌋🤗🤑🤒🙃😳😉🤔🙄👌😧🌞⚡
For Christ's sake shut up about Adele, Charlie bloody State. Foul mouthed Adele may be your hero but she is not even in the same stratosphere as Alison Krauss. Alison Krauss can pierce your heart when she sings, while Adele bruises your ears effing and blinding in her awful London accent. And whoever put this video up, why did you chop out the songs?
Alison is simply the greatest, but she's at an age where she'd look better with a shorter, simpler haircut. Those long, flowing locks actually age her. Emmy Lou always got the hair thing right.
I love Alison Krauss. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more pure voice, ever.
Alison Krauss is one of the best people I've had the pleasure to meet and now know as a friend. She's 100% real.
Of course, you are stunningly fortunate to know her - natural-born angel that she is!
Somebody saying the Alison Krauss smoke cigarettes tell me that’s not true
@@robertlupo2249 she doesn't smoke, drink, or curse. She's just a simple wonderful person.
One of the greatest female voices ever.
Her gentle and kind personality is what she's all about.
Even her speaking voice enchants the soul

What a voice and great sense of humor
What a beautiful, charming and talented lady ❤️
I use to listen to allison when my children were first born, my son is now 17 I didn’t realize it had been that long, Love allison!
So charming and relaxed
Gotta love her. Very sweet down to earth.
I think it is great how many different artists she's been able to work with.

She is so lovely in every way from what i've seen, what a talent.
Lovely interview straight and to the point . Alison Krauss`s approach to song and story leaves nothing to be desired - wonderful Artist , keeps it simple and the results speak for themselves .
She's cool and a very CALM person... that runs right over into her music.. very Calming.... Very talented...
this woman's voice is perfect .. I adore her music

She is amazing in so many ways.
Still beautiful and talented......
And when one is Inspired as you have been , the magic flows . Keep up your great career !
"Let's see a clip!" (Clip is half a second) "wow! So much you've done! What a great album!"
Alison is Pitch Perfect and one of the greatest singers of all time!!😎
I like her note always!
Love this woman.
Must love - no choice about it!
awesome singer!!!

Alison is a Class Act.
Adele will NEVER win this many grammy's that this Lady has... She is charming and a REAL LADY.
and she NEVER win as many awards as Adele had within her entire career....just sayin
I love her😊
Like there's another choice! :-)
Alison Krauss' cover of The Beatles song "I will" is a favourite of mine.
such a modest soul..
It's an Alison Krauss interview. Did you mention Adele enough times.
What a star.....ain't she sweet !
You're right. Those interviewers are inane and totally clueless.
A lot of people laud British TV, but the truth is that much of their TV, especially their morning show presenters, are rubbish.
Good one Daniel Graybeal! LOL

As Mark Twain writes from high above, "The woman with the warmest heart. . . is the one who was so cold at the BBC interview."
Aka: Alison Krauss listens to her interviewers talk about Adele for 10 minutes
Yeah that was a bit disrespectful.

I thought they were going to go to an Adele video. Anyway... I ADORE ALISON. More please.
Still shy and self-effacing. So refreshing in this day and age.
🍀 lucky you ☺️🙂😍

LET'S GO TO BREAKFAST 🎸
SAW SO WELL
Nobody sings like Alison. Kraus.
Who is this “Adele” of whom you speak?
FREEZING A THE TIME...
Btw, how many Grammy's does Adele have? Alison has 27.
Those interviewers were horrible. I like Adele, but were you not there to interview Allison?
Who is Adele ??
TY, that int. makes me want to kick ass and take names w/ak, tbone us, and zep!
These interviewers were NOT bluegrass fans
Mizos from Northeast India will recognize her from "Whiskey Lullaby", with Brad Paisley.
"Enough about you Allison, let's talk more about Adele."
The last few interviews and appearance's Alison always has 'Coats' on...
Does anyone know why? Love her Music!!
I always thought it was strange that Alison was always getting cold, even when it's not very cold at all. Where she grew up they had some tough winters.

Welcome Allison now lets talk about Adele. Silly interviewers
STUCK ON MA ALISON
Just like Moz.

Alison is the real deal. Adele is a girl from London who sings in a phoney American accent. i.e,. not the real deal!
Adele really???????
Both are Paul Rodgers ,dusty Springfield clones
Shut up about Adele
Adele!!!! Who's Adele?
Ever since she went Hollywood and had face surgeries, and makeup do over, she doesn’t look like Ernest Borgnine anymore
LOL! Funny how British folks mention the disparity and loneliness of bluegrass and country... Have they listened to their own folk and Celtic tunes? That's where bluegrass and country's roots are! =)

You could always do something like... ohhhh... research?
You're so far off this subject it's plum pitiful.

Maybe the Adele part helps take the focus off of the humble one...?
U look awesome babe , still!! Congratulations! Hit me up ,I haven't heard from u in awhile, been busy moving n work! I'll try tonight 😉
Krauss 'TransFixes' Anyone Who Listens to Her.
Adele...TheWorld.

the subject matter does not lend itself to the bus stop interview style...that was pathetic BBC content
Alison is simply the greatest, but she's at an age where she'd look better with a shorter, simpler haircut. Those long, flowing locks actually age her. Emmy Lou always got the hair thing right.
It's so obvious that the interviewers hadn't a clue about Alison's work, let alone her wonderful talent. Made me cringe with embarrassment.
How does that guy have a job?
So ridiculous I mean I love Adele but come on............ horrible interviewers
These interviewers were godawful.
Adele? She's no Homie?
nobody's even heard of her.
In retrospect what a crap interviiew
OMG spare us the Adelle stuff! Who cares . I barely know who Adelle is LOL!
How sad to see that Alison has succumb to the surgeons knife...ugh!
I didn't want to be the one to say it. She does look very stiff here.
I Love Alison Krauss ❤❤❤
