- The 1:18 finally happened, and in a big way. Insane to think that this is a 1:17 without that awful, awful EnC. I find myself feeling proud but also wondering what could have been. I guess 1:17 is closer than we thought? Moving onto other things for now though :) (All Helmets, Halo 3, returning to Control).

Tbf if there was it wouldn't be as good, the devs split up into teams and all workshopped ideas until they had exactly one shining gem of a level each. The E&C team really knocked it out of the park, but everybody brought something.
Nothing has ruined more single player games in the last five years than publishers demanding they be 60 hours long just so they can put that on the box. Nobody can make that much art, levels and write that much story.

This run is nuts but it also shows how much more time there is to be saved. Speed runs that are 1 to 2 hours are so fun to watch. So hard to execute for that long but it’s basically impossible to have a perfect run. Excited to see future runs!

that was my run, pretty much no skips, maybe one, unofficial, unrecorded, and probably pretty inaccurate but ye that’s how long it took me, i was faster than 58th place on speedrun.com

I always wonder what a tas of this game would look like. perfect frag boosting, perfect bunny hopping, perfect strafing. And not just that. you could theoretically also have oob skips and getting over very tall walls. just an idea though.

this is one of my favorite games of all time. such a fun movement shooter and its incredibly fun to watch someone utalize its mechanics so well

Just played and finished this in a single day a few days ago. One of the things I love doing after beating a game is watching speedruns. Grats on the new WR! Was fun to watch. I could never pull off the constant crouch/jump moves you do, I just don't have the reflexes for that anymore. But damn if it isn't fvcking awesome to watch!!!

I think with enough time and luck, 1:15:xx will be possible at some point with new strats with advanced and perfect play. Then maybe at some point, faster times (maybe something ridiculous like going to 1:10) If another major skip or several small skips are found.

You do a specific glitch called moon boots,it basically makes gravity 15% less, watch a tutorial on how to do it

Ok... I’m new to his streams and I don’t get how he does certain things.
How does he just hold control while slide hopping instead of pressing it every time to reset?
What is the timing to get consistent 50 km when jumping from the wall?
And obviously why isn’t the English version?
Questions 1 and 2 can be answered by watching my movement tutorial (you can find it in my tutorials playlist)
Question 3: Mandarin has faster dialogue
What's that movement that happens at 28:35? This is the first run I've seen of this game so not familiar with the strats runners use.
When you jump off an object moving vertically (up or down) you retain the momentum from the object for both your first and second jump.
So at that timestamp I get a huge boost from jumping off the crane arm as it is ascending, then I get the same boost AGAIN for my second jump.
Great game. Just picked it up on the steam sale and the campaign was fantastic. I'm in and out of FD now and then too, though I wish the maps were maybe a bit larger.
