Ted was in Louisville Kentucky, opening for KISS and him and his band, with Derick, came to a club where I was "teching" for 1 of the guitar players that was playing. The band asked me to ask Ted if he'd like to come up and play a song. Ted told me he'd come back to the dressing room. He came back and for 20 minutes, he talked and joked and was the nicest, funniest people you'd ever want to meet. He and his entire band got up and played for almost an hour !! Way cool !

I saw him on a bill with big names, experienced millionaire players, and he is so much more "natural" up there.. "stage presence"... even without many songs, honestly, the concert is great.. similarly, Sammy is a natural on stage..

I heard Stranglehold the first time in the wee hours of the morning. I cranked the radio up and was SOOO annoyed when the song ended. What had I just heard. I bought the cassette the next day after school and wore that tape out. Still one of my favorites.
And of course, Sammy's "Red" is on that favorites list too.

"Uncle Ted!" I love it! Two of my favorite rock and roll living legends together. I laughed so hard a few times my abs hurt. Everyone remembers Sammy up on stage equipment back in the day. I wonder if Iggy Pop climbed high? I need to research.

When they start playing that songs it’s a really cool feeling watching them find each other like that and just making it sound great. Also I wish this video was longer. Ted nugent is a fucking legend. I heard stranglehold today on the way home from work on the radio and instantly it put me in a great mood. Glad they left the solo in the radio version

Impressed me so much I had to feel that feeling everyday. 58 yrs old and Im still feeling it thanks Ted you have always been my hero. Sammy I first heard you in Montrose days loved Rocked Candy sang that song every day for years lol. Love both of your music and shall always have my cat scratch with my red!

Ted Nugent live back in his prime was a visual show in itself. Where others had to invent a character may it be a space man or make up ,Ted was himself and musically he is not known for one of the greatest but from a players perspective we was innovative and melodic leads with feedback that influenced a style used still today. And Sammy thanks your the greatest guy and best male vocalist ever .

Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands, but I HAVE A FEELING that if you asked Eddie Vedder and the boys what their favorite Ted Nugent song is, you'd get two great answers and three explanations about how problematic they find helicopter hunting and "misogynistic comments" about Hillary Clinton that preceded any answer given. Ask a clean-and-sober Ted Nugent who "musical greatness" is, and he names the biggest junkie in rock history without batting an eye or qualifying it first. Ask "Redneck Backwoods" Uncle Ted about James Brown and you get nothing but praise for the gifts bestowed upon us by Soul Brother Number One. Ask Old Man Ted about whether previous eras of rock n roll dominance were better than today's KPop, Mumble Rap, and Cookie Cutter bands? He tells you TODAY has the best music because it's an accumulation of all of it. Ted is a national treasure and is EVERYTHING the "more conscientious bands" claim to be, but never deliver on. ENTHUSIASM for music...PASSION for the people who make it....RESPECT for those who came before AND after. This comment goes out to all of that Nashville pussy. I didnt come here to be mellow.
