I met Ted in Milwaukee in 1990. He was in town promoting bow hunting and his archery products at a sports show. In between him runnin around at his booth.. we got to talking and next thing I knew, he invited me to hunt with him at his place in northern Michigan. So in the fall of 1991 I spent 5 days at his place white tail hunting, talkin music, arrows , firearms … beast time & best rock n roll story of all time 🎼🎵🎶🎵🎶🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Cool story. Met him as well in 1990 at the lake county fairgrounds doing the same thing with his tiger striped white ford Bronco, very heavily lifted. We too talked for about an hour and a half. Cool story. Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad I watched this. I'm from Ontario Canada and was raised on our Ancestral Dairy Farm going back to the first 1/4 of the 1800s. It is no longer an operating Dairy Farm, but the original stone house, the barn and some of the original land is owned by my brother. That said, in our small community on the Rideau River our village was smack dab in the middle of villages and towns all around it within a 15-minute drive. All those communities were farming communities as was ours. There was every kind of family farm everywhere feeding our communities far and wide with fresh produce, milk, eggs, vegetables, meat, poultry, fish everything.
Today they are all but gone now far and few between because of insane restrictions, laws, bylaws, regulations and fees driving the cost up so high that farmers could not turn a profit because they drove the cost up for every single thing you can possibly think of. That is how farming was forced to go CORPORATE, HUGE FARMS THAT GOBBLED UP AS MANY FAMILY FARMS AS THEIR GLUTONOUS CORPORATE HUNT COULD FIND.
The change was within 2 decades the 80's and 90's and Farming changed forever.
However, If we reintroduce the family farm and start supplying our communities with farm fresh food we not only bring hundreds of thousands of jobs in every province across Canada we will also solve many of the problems associated with poverty and low income. There is no downside to ethical farming and getting rid of the Giant Corporate Factory Farms that are killing our land with their corporate chemicals and steroids injected or fed to livestock. The 100 to 200 and smaller Family Farms will go a long way to fixing Canada and creating jobs everywhere.

@stevelindsay3643 UK and Europe are similar. There is huge fight back happening. In uk it's serious as Labour government are intent on destroying mass amounts of family businesses in every UK country due to nasty inheritance laws that won't affect just very rich landowners as they say, but the normal family owned farms. The government know this but say otherwise and it'll be a land grab with WEF hiding in background everywhere. Plant Hire companies etc are in same situation and could face bankruptcy. There's been quite a few suicides in farming since Labour came to power, it's sickening ✊️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

When you guys are talking about “evil” taking a foot hold in our world you are placing your crosshairs directly over the target. An example? I worked in Iraq fixing the electric for our Troops from 2008-2011. I was there exactly 36 months working night and day 7 days a week fixing phucked up electrical that was responsible for the deaths of many Troops, one stands out in my mind, Staff Sergeant Paul Maseth, killed in his shower from bad electric. That stuck out in my head. When they called me on the phone to go help I went! I wanted to go. I was paid 21 dollars and hour, no overtime, just wage money for an average of 104 hours a week. I was in Iraq, so, I didn’t file the gerdammed IRS papers for some office shitball sitting in a chair all phucking day deciding what portion of my 21 dollars an hour should go to the Federal Reserve Bank. The catch is, I paid them! Every single paycheck had federal taxes withheld. When I got back in 2011 I had to find an attorney because the IRS filed “for me”!! They did not take into account that I was IN IRAQ!! They did not take into account that as an expat I DID NOT ‘HAVE’ to Pay anything. So, what they did was charge me an extra 125,000 dollars IN ADDITION to what I already paid - that I DID NOT want returned !! I just told them to keep what I paid. 1 week ago I received notice from them that if I don’t pay their 125,000 arbitrary additional amount - while I actually owed them nothing by law as an expat - they will gouge out my life and destroy my wife and I. We are now in our late 60’s, I am 68 and my wife is 66. We live under the thumb of EVIL!!! I don’t feel peaceful but I have no idea how to get justice in this phucking nightmare. Anyway, you guys are spot on about the evil in this dammed by God nightmare of a bureaucratic hell we are living in. My wife and I are days away from losing our home in Allendale Michigan and not one thing I can do about it. It’s hell. Pure hell.

A few weeks ago, I was at 330lbs. The biggest I’ve ever been in my life. I’m 46 and 6’2” and felt absolutely drained every day after work. I drank sweet tea every day all day and eat some of the most horrible junk food each day, including stopping before work to get nasty gas station food. I was on a fast track to an early grave. I completely cut out sugar. I drink only water every day now, and I only eat chicken that I grill and of course, venison that I grill. I cut out bread and potato chips, anything that is highly processed. I am now at 285. My goal weight is 220-230. I will soon be getting on a cardio and weight training plan, because I don’t want to just be thin and floppy 😆

I remember Ted. I lived on the west side as a kid.
His band shopped at the head shop on Fielding & Joy rd. next door to my grandfathers shoe repair shop. The band drove an old Black limo back when they were first starting out. I lived 2 blocks from there on Heyden. I think the river he's talking about is near 5 mile near Riverdale. I rented a room when I was 20 on Riverdale & the river was a block west towards Telegraph. He was in a band called The Amboy Dukes.

Thank you so very much Joe Rogan and staff, for bringing Ted Nugent on . I loved every second of this fantastic interview. The guitar licks were a real treat, that displays Ted's awesome ability to play many forms of guitar playing . I will share so other friends can enjoy it as well. Thanks again Joe and keep up your great works.

I just found this video...3 hours of Ted and Joe...what a Christmas present!!! When Ted hit the opening cords of Fred Bear, I got goosebumps from head to toe. It happens every time I hear that song and it is frequently accompanied by a tear in my eye. I'm sorry for the pain it took for that song to come about but very glad that it did. It's like that song tears away all of the layers of todays society and connects to the primal feeling of hunting, providing, friendship and being connected with wildlife and the outdoors. I love to hear Ted talk, the amount of information stored in his head is just amazing. Absolutely amazing discussion on so many levels!!

What an amazing interview. Bill Monroe always spoke of the, "ancient tones" when referring to Bluegrass music. Ted speaks of rock & roll as, "primal". It's the same thing. As Ted said, "pure". Such an articulate guy. Thoroughly enjoyed this one, Joe. Thanks.

On the ‘strangle hold’ thing where people were trying to convince him that it needs to be removed from the record because it has no chorus… it amazes me how stupid the people who are in the way of musicians and how high impact that stupidity is. These same talentless people have been ruining everything good about humanity since we could think to entertain ourselves, I assume because ‘control’ and ‘greed’.

I got the opportunity to talk to him once and said all the wrong things, it was a work related conference call. Said 'Hey Terrible Ted! You were my fave back in high school.' He replied "Never liked that nickname, I'm not a bad guy. What was your favorite song?" Said it was Venom Soup, after saying that a bit of silence, I said on Weekend Warriors... He said oh yeah the weird guy wrote that one.

Nugent's 1981 song "Jailbait" describes having sex with a 13-year-old girl.[65][66] Nugent admitted to several affairs with underage girls in a Behind the Music episode.[67][68] Musician Courtney Love claims that she performed oral sex on Nugent when she was 12.[69][70] On a later occasion she said she was 14.[71]
In 1978, Nugent began a relationship with 17-year-old Hawaii native Pele Massa. However, they could not marry due to the age difference. To get around this, Nugent joined Massa's parents in signing documents to make himself her legal guardian.

Back in the late 50’s, my Dad took my Mom and all us girls (I have 4 sisters, no brothers) up into Utah deer hunting. My aunt and uncle, (who had 5 boys, no daughters) was there. Up in the snowy mountains of beautiful Utah (we’re SoCal). When the adults were around the camp, all 15 (there were a few other family members) of us kids would hike around and collect different leaves and rocks. We found so many arrowheads that my oldest cousins would determine if they could be collected. That next year, we each got a turn to take that arrowhead collection to school to share. We even found some broken arrows, rocks shaped like bowls, etc. My Mom was protective over the items, as she’s NA. Absolutely beautiful. We felt the spirituality and”mojo” while holding them. My oldest cousin had the collection in his possession when he passed away, so we all asked about it. His wife of only 8 years took it and never returned it to us. I’ll never forget the surprise and excitement when one of us would find a perfect arrowhead up in those snowy, rocky and cold mountains. I had an experience with a buck my Dad got that year when they were field dressing it I’ll never forget too 😂.

Joe is right. I found an ancient spear head under my feet at my moose hunting viewpoint id been scoping from for 10 years. Its the ultimate spot for miles of viewing. I had been stepping on it. Im not the only human that thinks this is the "SPOT" to be, was there a glacier back then ? Was the ridge a travel way? Im mean, with a stick ? It makes me fuzzy and it belongs to my grand sons people, the Athabaskan natives of Alaska. Powerful stuff Joe and Bad Ass for sure

I grew up in 70s when Ted was at his Zenith. A local pool joint had the Ted Nugent pinball machine and I could not wait to feed it quarters after school.
Still to this day Stranglehold is one the best Rock songs ever recorded , it still gives me goosebumps. When I got my first car in the early 80s the first tape I played in it was his 1975 Debut album and Stranglehold was the song. Played it many a night cruising around in my 70 Dart Swinger GT 340 .....loved that car.
