It seems those 270 gx engines are good candidates for performance build up grades. Plus they have those wet clutch transmissions that are built strong. Should be some interesting videos.
They can be used on gx200 too. Most indoor kart centres run them here. Indestructable clutches basicly. They outlast 4 engines easy before a rebuild is needed.
I propose ike and john and maybe a couple other friends each take a cart, and do a build off like what was gunna happen a couple years ago, same engine same frame just fix em up and rip em around a track
Now that you have some Go kart`s to spare, it is time we got to see a 2stroke build. Put a 125, 250 or a 300cc dirt bike engine on one of those go karts.
I second that idea!!! PLEASE USE A NICE BANSHEE ENGINE FOR A SHIFTER CART BUILD!!! YOU GUYS WOULD GET SO MUCH RECOGNITION N MADD PROPS!!! Oh and I'm almost crying watching you guys getting all them free karts'n'parts... Just having a HOOT!
supertedogpriken I’d rather see a 2 stroke small bore twin snowmobile motor on a kart. That being said, these guys are likely not capable of properly jetting a sled engine let alone using anything but a pos go powersports cvt setup. A 77 Rotax type 354 would be a monster of properly set up on a kart.
@@ROTAXD when they went to a big go kart/ mini bike meet some months ago, they tried a go kart with a snowmobile engine in it. And right after they tested it both sat in there car over hyped and full of adrenaline and promised us that they where going to do a snowmobile engine build..... But i kinda lost faith in that. been commenting on almost every video since then about a snowmobile engine go kart but NOTHING has happened..... Any Rotax engine would be amazing on a go kart(long travel suspension buggy) Dont care if it is not the biggest or the fastest engine. Just do a 2 stroke build.
I think a Banshee engine would be superior. Much smaller pistons to retqin that signature 2 stroke power curve. The big block one lung 2 strokes are definitely more linear...which isn't a bad thing, but they don't wind out as much. They also don't require as much shifting, you can just stick it in 3rd and tractor out of the turns on torque alone. A Banshee twin on the other hand still has that no/go powerband, and they can make triple digit power with a strokey +4 mil crank. Also has the benefit of a 6 speed gearbox. Either way would be just flat out gnarly though, I guess it all comes down to driving style and preference. The main issue with karts of this power is grip anyway, so getting the power to hook might be difficult. I guarantee even a bone stock 250 smoker from an older motocross bike would be a handful.
I really enjoyed your enthusiasm and the obvious look of pure unadulterated joy on your face at the end of this video. I’d really like to see more driving/racing by the two of you on tracks designed for it like this.
Nice Job Kyle!! Keep these guys going! This was a FUN video to watch with lots of viewing angles. Gives me lots of ideas on what to look for when I mount up one of my engines into an older race kart! Thanks!
THIS needs to be your 'benchmark' test track. I mean, yes, your yard is more convenient but it is restricted seasonally and floods occasionally. So a dedicated track would be an awesome proving ground. Great episode! Nice to see you guys where you could open the carts up and let them run without worrying about traffic or noise!
I worked with wet clutches before with the go karts I built, and the great thing about those wet clutches is that they also have a 2:1 ratio so you are getting some acceleration too!
Awesome to see the growth of the channel guys keep up the awesome content, man don’t hold back on these things we love to see you guys push these things past their limit! Every guy’s dream when they were boys was to upgrade a go kart or to even own one lol I know I was extremely fascinated with go karts when I was a little boy. Keep doing crazy engine swaps.
I still don’t get who puts the time/energy in to “dislike” a video, any video. Just-don’t-like-it. “Dislike” is the PC version of “hate”. Stop watching a channel if you feel the urge to ever hit the “dislike” button. Sheesh. These guys are UA-cam gold, for those that are into their content, or those wanting to get into the same hobby. Besides that, they are just nice people.
Heck yeah! I'd love to see you guys in 2 similar carts in a legitimate head to head race with John giving Izak a 2 second head start being he's about 30-35 lbs lighter than him!
Glad to see they still have those carts. I remember getting thrown out of one of those about 15 years ago rounding the last corner of the Kart track. Good times
24 hrs of karts lemons,!!!! Yes please who will survive!!!! ??That would be very cool to see a series like that, you all could get together and weld up some trophy's for the top 5 finishers from kart / mower parts!!!!!! We need this
Cool would like to build a track like that around my area, give people something to do, Nothing around here but dust and corn, Isaac you and John Are amazing when things go wrong you find a way to make them work right. Looked like yall was having some fun. Keep up the good work guys. And It'll Be Fine Always. Faithful Subscriber from Southeast Missouri
New subscriber here... You guys' accent sound local to me. Y'all are in eastern NC somewhere aren't you? I'm in Wilm.. Awesome to see like minded folks, that like to build and tinker with mechanical things. Sometimes for no other reason than to see what happens. Love the channel guys.!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I must say again the new film style is losing the awkwardness, the backed out panning almost makes you feel more like you’re standing there hanging out. Nicely done again fellas, I’ve enjoyed your content and hope to continue for a few more years.
Better and safer than drugs . GOOD. CLEAN. FUN. Time for a 500cc 2 stroke dirt bike engine....Seriously. I'm betting it would be faster than the 750 cross cart. Come on , everybody's doing it. But be warned it could be highly addictive, Like drugs but better, and it's legal. Good job guys always keep that brotherly love.
That transmission is Honda's 2 to 1 wet clutch go-kart unit. We used to use those at Malibu Grand Prix in Ohio. They are pretty much bullet proof up to 10 Hp. Just remember to change the oil on schedule.
wish i could ge tmy hands on one of those old things, them engines are notorously hard to likk or rather hondas are so the 270 should be tough as hell, but i would probably make it into a shifter kart
I’ve been subscribed since the early days when you put the first predator engine on the red mini bike that used to be 80cc, I’m in the uk and I watch you guys every night, my favourite build is either the black widow kart or the latest stage 4 212cc, I keep praying you MAKE A DIESEL OFF ROAD KART

Those wet clutches with reduction are awesome and close to indestructable. A lot better than the simple ones you use quite often. Downsize is the size of them but they are strong and you can tune them to the engine you use with more or less weights.
This one was a ton of fun! What'd you think?
CarsandCameras awesomeeee
I have been looking at my phone ever 5 min this morning.. good morning guys.
build a car-sized go kart with a car engine? xD
It's awesome! By the way, you guys should bring the hearse back out this Halloween 😁
I LOVE IT

That cord on your hat is driving me nuts, Jon! Pull it down! Pull it down! ;-)
It wouldn’t stay
I KNEW someone was gonna comment on THAT!
jlucasound same I skipped past the video
jlucasound yes much

Taylor is so chill. Whenever he says anything in vids it always induces a chuckle.
you guys absolutely need to come back, imagine that kart with a refreshed chassis and good tires. would be insane!!!
glad to see your back on karts
That looked like a real fun time. Thanks, guys.
You guys need your own tv show on a network! You guys are awesome!

I feel the same, but "haters gonna hate," sad people really. ;)

Awesome video, guys! That 212 was turned up... Sounds great and looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing another great video!
Heck yeah! I'd love to see you guys in 2 similar carts in a legitimate head to head race with John giving Izak a 2 second head start being he's about 30-35 lbs lighter than him!

@@CarsandCameras I've always wanted to see a 670cc predator on a hammerhead go kart you guys should try that it would be awesome👍
Glad to see they still have those carts. I remember getting thrown out of one of those about 15 years ago rounding the last corner of the Kart track. Good times

Definitely you guys need to film at that track again. What cool spot. Cool guys backing you all up too. Man what a cool place
We need a video here with everyone of your guys carts all riding at once
Having a meet up there would be great. With all of the cars and karts, talk about racing.
Yes! Need a meet at VIR!
Great job guys can’t wait to see what you guys are going to do with the new carts? Oh do tell so much Kept secrets on the plans for those new carts?
We have a lead on a snowmobile engine
You guys should do a mad max buzzard style go kart project
That thing sounds insane!

Thanks
Meet up at VIR would be awesome
Yea for Tay-Tay! He was manning that out-house booo-oooy! How did he get rocks in his eyes in the porta-potty?
wish i could ge tmy hands on one of those old things, them engines are notorously hard to likk or rather hondas are so the 270 should be tough as hell, but i would probably make it into a shifter kart
We need a redemption video with some those old cart chassis with some built motors and fresh rubber! Oh and maybe the crosscart???!!!!!
You guys gotta built an absolute track machine with that motor

Almost at one Million subs. I remember when you guys only had 15k, lol. keep up the good work you two.
Issac and john make sure you stay safe in the hurricane.
Thanks
Loved the video by the way!!
Brilliant video 👌🏻
"Fast is loose and on the edge of out of control"
Days of thunder
It would be awesome to see you thrash the cross kart around one of those tracks... :)
HEY! Tayor's back! YAY!
Jon and Ike y'all both need new tires and a bunch of track time...lol
Well that made me smile. Nice bunch of fellas!
Nice Cooper GP
YOU NEED TO BRING THE DUCATI CART OUT THERE!!😯😯
what a fun video. love this stuff the rescue and run .
Nice hat!!
Love the revival videos 👍
That little 212 sure does rip, I'm thinking it would do better than the 420 engine.
Naw that motor is fine that big hole is for crank case vent
Would be awesome to see you guys run the cross cart n this track!!
Looked like fun!
The VIR kart track could very well be a staple for testing your future builds
lol I had this same problem and I asked you guy if you could look into wet clutches. now here you are
