Can you raid the engine up a couple of inches and mount the carb on a straight intake manifold/pipe? Might be a good idea to fabricate a small shield to mount between the air filter and tire. That tire will fling tiny grit right through that filter element. Even a short fender over the right rear wheel would work.

Safety wire can come in very handy my friend. you never worry about an airplane flying over and dropping nuts and bolts on you and they vibrate more than most two strokes.

Spray aqua net hair spray on the intake and then put the hose on. Let it set for about a day. You will have to cut it off the intake if you ever try to take the hose off the intake again
Hey I got a question for anyone who will be willing to answer. I just got a race kart chassis and am looking to go with a predator 212 with a torque converter. My question is: what size sprockets would you recommend in front and in rear? Also does the TC come with a sprocket for a chain?
Y'all are nuts driving on the shoulder against traffic! Please find a safer place to do your testing. I love karts, we used to run the old Briggs flathead, these new overhead valve motors are the bomb. Keep it up guys but be safe.
Late to the party but I run the vacuum line straight to the oil catch with the pump on a tee between. ( Pump on the 90 degree)If you run the line lower than the pump it'll keep the oil out of it too. Plenty of pressure and no oil bleeding out of the pump breather.

Will i have the same problem if i try to put a Mikuni on a TrailMaster MB200-2 mini bike? doesn't it have a pulse pump mounted on the side cover?

If you also weld some tacks on the end of the manifold and then clamp the hose on the inside of those tacks it would keep it from slipping off.

Put a 19 driver and a 58 gear on and that puppy will run. We run that gear setup at Dumplin valley raceway
Tutorialzz Daily depends on motor but with a clone in the clone 375 class it’ll go 55/60 and probably more. But these clones I’m speaking about are not your go powersports build parts. They are akra and nka build spec racing engines that go from 12-1400 dollars. A predator or tily might do 40/45 on a 19/58 which is a 3.05 gear ratio

I’m running a mikuni as well but getting a lot of gas coming out the overfill at the bottom what is that caused by?
Changing the intake runner length actually affects the engine performance. Same goes to header lenght.

I need help with my engine it was fine stock then I removed the governor put a vm22 Mikuni on it and a trumpet exhaust and now it didn’t like to throttle so I took apart the hole carb then it throttled but dumps gas every ware and and max throttle it gust Boggs down and some time I was far from my house and it didn’t want to throttle what do I do to get it running good

I think I'm gna put all stage four setup in my 212 predator engine and not do anything with piston and really see what happens
What is the Chasis? I didn’t see that listed and am curious at finding one that can handle as much power as yours
Do you know if they make a setup for a dead axle go kart to use a CVT transmission. I know the CVT runs the drive sprocket reverted from what a centrifugal clutch main is backwards for mini bikes. My wheel sprocket is directly in line with my centrifugal clutch sprocket hooked up the original way. I'm guessing my only bet is to have the motor be able to slide to the right. I don't think they make a jack shaft for a dead axle go-kart for a CVT transmission.
Well your shop is better equipped than mine. As a matter of fact my wife wants half of the garage space for her craft area.

I'd run some type of super trap billet pipe rather than open header I love long tube headers like intake runners yeah but a little back pressure always helps power seems like and tuning and sounds better to me now I'm a Alabama boy and I love that straight pipe sound but glasspacks sound better and helps my power in most cases
If you're lazy like me, squirt some starter fluid in the carb and give it a rip or two. Let it run on the starter fluid until the carb fills up and runs on its own. Easy.
If u take a spray can lid and fill the intake line from the pump starts easier
What size tire and wheels you running.?
Does anybody have a solution for centrifugal clutch vibration. I'm running a predator 80 cc
4stroke on a gas bike,on take off it will vibrate very hard ,at times the chain comes off from the vibration
I know this was a year ago, but make sure your sprocket is aligned with the clutch properly and that the chain is tight. Those motors just vibrate a lot in general.. Can't imagine the clutch itself being the cause, unless the bushing is totally gone out of it or something...
I love all of your videos I learned so much. Just have a question I have a predator 212 with the stage 1 kit header rlv Muffler air filter and Main jet. After I give Full Throttle and let off the motor will backfire I was wondering if there was something that I need to do to get this to stop backfiring when letting off the throttle. Or is that normal with this type of header and Muffler? Thanks
Its normal most of the time
I would assume this is normal I have same kit with predator bent header and mine backfires as well after letting off from full throttle
@@edens325 its because it runs rich for a second when you let off of the throttle because the amount of air that can get through changes and the engine is still running at a high rpm so it is forced to suck it more fuel than it needs to and causes a backfire because its unable to burn all the extra fuel that it sucks in and if you need a better explanation I'll explain it differently.

Blow in the fuel cap and u will get fuel to the carb instantly, used to have to do this everytime when we used to race on methanol

Damn, he’s only running 3200 rpm?🤨 I race dirt go karts, and I run 212 predator engines with stage 2 on it and I get around 5000rpm. We usually go about 35-40mph on the dirt ovals
