As someone who has messed around with custom abilities in the workshop for a while, your video has taught me some things I didn't know about certain actions and also easier ways I can do ability cooldowns. (Before, I was constantly disallowing and re-allowing abilities within rules and then going into the custom game settings and adjusting a hero's actual ability cooldowns to get the custom cooldown that I wanted like an idiot.) Your workshop videos have been my main inspiration so it's really cool to see a tutorial from you. I hope that I can be as good at this as you are one day. :)
Also I think you should check for more states that the event player can be in as a condition, like if they do not have status stunned and sleeping probably always, rooted for movement abilities, hacked for all abilities probably.
Ye. Just didn’t go that in-depth in the video
As someone who has never opened the workshop, or coded, im gunna be messing around with this over the weekend. This was an amazing, easy to follow guide, especially for someone like me. Criminally underrated tutorial 😁
Great start to the video
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!
The best way to explain subroutines is as a list of actions that can be called within other rules. So if there is a set of actions that you want to happen frequently without repeatedly adding the code to multiple rules, you can make a subroutine.
Thx
Sorry if this is getting repetitive but for consistency’s sake I have to say elephant
🦍
guys take a look at the desc of the game he makes
LET’S GOOO
Ferb I know what were gonna do today
I’m honestly not ok sure how subroutines work either, but I thing that they’re like rules that you can call inside of other rules, as well as choose whether or not the original rule keeps going while the subroutine runs, or waits until the sub to end before continuing. I could see where it’d be useful, like if you have a rule that you want to use to run some actions as well as start a loop, then you could put the loop in a sub, but like you, I’ve gotten through all my time with the workshop without using them so… 🤷
yeah, it's all about reusability
You used my main lol. Also great video
There's a easer way to make cooldowns for heroes
Put instead of all that complicated stuff use the player variable with a Chase player at rate in the actions and in the conditions make sure the player variable is at null you can also add a hud message to display the cooldown
this
solder wojak
with this power i will add a rango boss fight
I Just want one team to be ashe and the other to be mccree but I don't know how
How do you make the projectile fully automatic( holding the button and the projectile keeps shooting
use the while action, e.g:
while(is button held(BUTTON) and then however kendel makes the effect (i haven’t watched it)
poggers
Quick question , what is the command to change character size??
Start Scaling Player, if you mean hero size
@@ciach0_ yesss , thx m8
Overwatch workshop needs a comeback, too many weird modes that weird kids reside in, I wish I can open the game browser and find a bunch of different fun lobbies, to make blizzard look at it more, to allow for more workshop features be added and possibly server hosting for the server browser.
It’s says I’m max extensions how do I remove some
if you want more extension points, either shrink player slots or disable non-workshop maps
hi
After 4 hours using this tutorial I made a slightly unbalanced Dps junker queen
"they" is not a singular pronoun.
it is indeed a singular pronoun
@@ciach0_ some have used it hundreds of years back but it still is considered bad style today
