Well, in games like these, where a lot of heroes are OK to pick up, little combos and gimmicks like these are what separate good players from great ones
Quick bonus tip on blocking sticky damage (Cass nade, tracer ult) you can reduce the damage done in nemesis form if you're blocking when the ability connects and when it explodes, so if you're fast enough when you hear a tracer dive or when the echo blobs hit you being slow predictable projectiles, just stay in block that little bit longer and give yourself extra survivability. I'd still double check it in a custom game tho, it's been a bit inconsistent for me if the damage is reduced if I'm blocking when the ability connects

The Season 3 mid-season patch added the ability to gain Nemesis form's armor on ult without having to cancel it first. You can now stay in Nemesis form and pop ult without missing out on the extra armor.
MAJOR NOTE ABOUT RAMMATRA PRIMARY FIRE: Unlike other tanks who have projectile primaries, Ramattra's does not have ANY damage fall off.. those long sight lines still do full damage!!

Another huge tip for annihilation is to use try and save your shield and vortex before you pop ULT and use them all at the same time. This way you can slow the majority of their team by throwing vortex behind them and shield off their supports or give yourself some temporary protection, helping to close the gap and keep annihilation active as long as possible.
I think it's also worth noting that shields block out the aoe effect of his ult. This is useful when fighting a ditto match. Also, his barrier is amazing at completing locking away someone else's ultimate like say Dva's, Roadhog's, some of bastions (also also worth noting that his barrier will absolutely shut down a mobile mode bastion)

This tip style is is much BETTER than the 1 tip per hero which ends up as just "Shoot them, use abilities" and repeated. This gives genuine tips and I hope to see more like this for each character.
I get the most use of vortex when I make a read on a mercy about fly to a teammate and put it in her path of flight, stops her and she has absolutely nowhere to go.
One more tip is that you can throw ravenous vortex straight in the air if you're expecting to hold a set corner. Doing so will allow you to use ravenous vortex almost back to back (as it lands late, by the time it's duration is over, your cooldown is almost back)
This is probably missing the most important tip for the ult: your ult also refreshes your nemesis cooldown so you can nemesis until your refreshed armor runs out, then cancel and ult until that armor runs out (or until you’re in danger of dying for continuing to ult), then cancel ult and nemesis some more. This is like giving yourself a Lucio beat along with a huge amount of nemesis uptime.

I've only just started to play Ramattra after coming from an Orisa main. I really like the hero and thanks for the tips, the block one is very useful when combined with malee
I also like to throw the vortex on an objective or chokepoint when the enemy has a Pharah, because that's one of the only flying heroes it's actually good against. You might not even need a hitscan in your team against a Pharah if you can predict her movement and vortex her down.
The "aim for the head" tip is incredibly usefull for any hero with a small body hitbox. Think about it; even if you are 50% less likely to hit a headshot than a bodyshot, over time you will not only deal more damage with this tip (= more ult charge), but because the burst of damage is higher, most players will go out of LOS faster/stay out of LOS longer in order to survive (= creating space) or they will just die faster. The ladder also means you increase your chances of survival in a 1v1 (e.g. you vs a DPS Moira).
One thing I did when it comes to tracking with Void Accelerator is to use the circle cross hair with the maximum center gap setting. In medium distance fights, I find that tracking with the outer circle lined up with the enemy model will pretty much always hit the enemy. Close range and Long range works too, but mainly for tanks and characters with larger hit boxes (like Bastion).
Yeah I don't like using those circle crosshairs because I play some hitscan characters, but I found that just raising the center gap a few helps with lining up your long range shots
One more thing, pummel in nemesis form can damage trought shields like briggite and reinhardt, sigma void, and dva thing that suck bullets (idk the name), genji deflect (but doesnt damage him and you), but orisa counters that blocking the damage

It's also important to remember your hero specific matchups for Vortex. Genji, Hanzo, and Kiriko CANNOT climb up walls when inside of it. You can actually use Vortex right on the ledge to stop them from coming up, too. As soon as they start to come around the edge, it'll shove them back down. Vortex is honestly my favorite of his abilities just because of all the niche interactions it has, and its innate power as a slowing tool.

I'm so glad that Block-Cycling has become a mainline tech, and that I can proudly say that I didn't *_just_* learn about it from a KarQ video. I've been using it since day 1, since before any of the pro streamers really knew all of the ins and outs of Ramattra... in fact, I could probably still find the Flats video where I specifically mention the Block-Cycle tech from a few months back.
When I use his ult I always try and go for the healers because I find that it makes the enemy team panic more also if they try to body block my punches can hit them and their team mates
As much as it's absolutely more worthwhile to get out of it, can you block Bastion's missiles if looking upward?.. I'd assume you'd at least need to be dead centre too.
not 100% sure, but i feel like you can and dont have to be super accurate with it. i tried blocking one yesterday and survived with at least half hp left.
Ok so can we tank players get a guide on who what and how each tank can counter or mitigate bastion alt. Dps that have interactions with it would be cool too like genji. Basically just a vid on bastion's alt and how to counter it. I know it's a crap alt but the interactions are new, unique and interesting. Please!
Any chance at a tips and tricks video for things that don't translate well or at all to console? For example I'm a console player who has issues trying to do the shoot shoot heal or shoot heal shoot heal tech with Bap because it's hard to flick to the ground by my team then back up to who I was shooting at. Maybe try to find a GM console player to talk with.
@@serpentjade_ I already have a decently high sense and I do weave in some damage but then my accuracy goes to shit. I mostly find myself doing some burst healing and then go on the offensive when they are healed up or notice someone I think I can kill that nobody else seems to be shooting at. I often find myself at the top of the lobby for kills damage and heals but I just can't get those flicks.
Did they change his ultimate so he gains the full armor even while he’s already in nemesis form? I feel like it’s giving me full armor now. So unless I want to try to shield something I just pop ult.

Most projectiles don't have damage fall off actually, as far as im aware orisa is the only projectile character in the game who has damage falloff

use the bonus walkspeed to escape or get from point a to point b faster e.g walking out of spawn doors
