    Hey everyone! For those watching the week this comes out (Writing this on 1/24/2024), it isn't a great reset for these quests (LWing + JCing). Like I said in the video, some items are better than others and LWing is probably the worst quest on the list 😅 Mostly this is because of how easy it is to craft drums (Very low skill + trainer unlock + no quality requirements + region wide), but don't be discouraged! If this week isn't great for you, wait until next rotation. Happy Goldmaking!

    Can you do a "best setup for one character" gold ideas video? I would love to see pros and cons of professions if you're locked into 2, with the new prof system I want to start trying to really make some gold, but really don't have the time to be leveling profs on 5 or 6 characters!

    my experience doing this: on low server no one buys anything and on high server there's too much competition. my main is now on a high server and i wake up at 07:30am and post fisherfriends (engineering is the profession with least competition) and by 08:00am i start getting undercut every 15 minutes. also: seems like most people here (Kazzak-EU) are done with the caverns and the barter brick quest items don't sell that well anymore. but in it's prime i did a lot of profit thx to your videos.

    • @Penguinr2gt

      The server specific items depend on your realm and they won’t always perform as well as others. The region wide items are generally the best performing for me, but that of course comes with competition. Not sure if you have access to this option, but I highly recommend checking out cross realm trading and moving items around (need a friend or a second account). My fisherfriends fell this weekend to 200g, but I could just trade them over to another realm I play on and sell them for 700g.

      If you are constantly undercut scanning it’s impossible to actually see real and consistent profits.

      If you were only being undercut every 15 minutes you have it good. I tend to spend reset days selling cut gems and am lucky to get sales for more than 30 seconds after the gems are posted. Server specific items aren't much better.

    Today is Thursday, i tried this and the prices are at default selling price, meaning the three enchants cost 5g each, while the mats to craft it are 20g. Similar story for tailoring, the mats cost more than the vibrant cloth. How is this supposed to work?
    Server is Blackmoore EU

    • @Penguinr2gt
      @Penguinr2gt  8 місяців тому

      Not all quests perform the same each week and reset day is when it’s truly the best prices. For example, I was selling enchants at 70% profit margins (insane for those enchants!) about 4 hours after reset but they’ve fallen out of profit since then. For the not so great professions, being there early is important. If you can’t do that, wait for the better profession weeks like cooking, blacksmithing and engineering where they generally last all week. Also be mindful of your specialization, skill and tools

    Sounds like a great tactic! Just make sure you're checking the AH before crafting. On my server prices can be great and then 1 person undercuts to almost cost levels and then more people stack on top of that new price. If you have room and it's not a literal ton of items sometimes a chunky flip may work in your favor.

    The main problem I have with the Vibrant Wildercloth one is that it requires a R2 variety and my tailors, being higher level, tend to generate R3 at the least. Even if I use a lower level cloth purchased off the AH. Tht makes it more costly to do it as 2/3 of what I make cant be turned in for the quest.

    • @Penguinr2gt
      @Penguinr2gt  8 місяців тому

      Yea, at some point you’ll have to just deal with getting Q3 - thankfully it’s still generally profitable, just might not be as much. The Q3 bolts do sell very very fast though. Bolts are one of the weekly items that tend to be less profitable per item just due to its very cheap crafting cost

    Have you looked into buying the items from the AH (instead of crafting) when they are not needed for the quest and storing them until they come up? Would there be any profit in that?

    • @Penguinr2gt
      @Penguinr2gt  8 місяців тому +1

      Yep that’s definitely something you can do. I would be careful with buying the finished crafted items since you don’t know when they will be in rotation next… let’s say you buy chilled runes but they aren’t up for another 3 weeks, prices can change a lot. Personally, I buy materials when they are at a good price in advance, so worst comes to worst, I can use them for something else if the profession isn’t in rotation as soon as I like. Big example of that is Dorado fish, they seem to always go up in value when it’s soup week, so I tend to stock on the off weeks. Flipping is definitely a bit for risky than just plain crafting but if you can watch the markets and be the first one to it, it’s a great way to increase margins

There seem to be multiple sellers on stormrage that purposely put items on the auction house way less than what it cost to make them. Ran into this person selling BS, LW early on in this expansion. How can the Jewelcrafting quest be profitable? (do you buy mats on AH low - or make them?)

    • @Penguinr2gt
      @Penguinr2gt  8 місяців тому

      Either one - depends on the price of ore. Prospecting can be great if the gem price is inflated and ore is a decent value. If you catch it early enough/gamble in advance, you can also just buy gems before reset/right at reset and resell!
      The worst performing quest is by far Leatherworking and that one is up this week, next week will likely be way better!

    • @Penguinr2gt
      @Penguinr2gt  8 місяців тому +1

      Sadly, you will just need to sell and recoup some of your gold unless you hold until potential market increase of Season 4 (which isnt guaranteed). When flipping items (especially the final product), you need to be careful and think of many factors. Two of the important ones are "How easy is it make/get this item?" and "What is its demand?" While drums are needed in raids/mythics+ and has an additional boost due to the weekly quest, its just way too easy to craft. Its a trainer learned recipe at a very low level, skill doesn't matter since there is no quality, and it's sold regionally, etc.
      Don't get discouraged though! Trust me, we have all made flipping mistakes in the past and its a part of learning goldmaking. If you need the gold now, sell it and take a small loss, so if you are hopefully and dont need a ton of gold back immediately, you can try to sit on them for a bit.
      Good luck!

    You are only a few of the wow UA-camrs that I respect regarding gold making content because lots of your content at least were based on facts or PTR testing. However, this video completely changed my view. First of all, there is ZERO reasons to justify that why anyone will still want to do these weekly quests for those bricks or blouders. There is absolutely ZERO reasons that anyone will want to do that. Those patents were outdated, the most profitable jewel crafting transmute CD is DEAD, most people dont even do that anymore because you will always end up losing gold by doing so. These turn in quests are important only because in the first few weeks, the CD were so profitable and you need the blouders to buy the pattern BUT after you get to a higher level renown, you can actually use your supplier resources to buy the blouder instead. And from that point onward, no one should even want to waste gold do such quests, not to mention now which is about more than 6 months later. Moreover, I hate to point this out, your TSM record makes ZERO sense, you have that food sales peaked at 6200 something in ONE hour and then next hour the sales dropped to 40 and within that 2 days time span, there is no other time with sales getting even close to this number, your story does not add up.

    • @jimmydance4840
      @jimmydance4840 8 місяців тому

      For anyone want to argue the only possible "blouder sink" in this scenario, which is the pet you can cage and sell it in the AH, trust me on this, I know the pet market better than most of the trader out there and it is absolutely hurting yourself more comparing the pet price than those materials to get the blouders. As for the hat, anyone whose really wanting that transmog piece, they will just use one of their alts supply resources to buy it which is exactly I did only after 4 weekly of that patch.

    • @Penguinr2gt
      @Penguinr2gt  8 місяців тому +7

      I dont know the exact reason why each person still turns in these quests, but they do. Try it out one week or so, and see how many people are still buying these. If you don’t want to craft it yourself, just watch prices. Chilled runes went up in value when it was inscription week, same with cooking and engineering, etc. One reason that I’ve done these quests recently is to get KPs for an alt. You can get Knowledge Points from the boulder/brick vendor and not everyone has a ton of supplies on alts. My alt could only buy so many reputation boulders so I resorted to the weekly quests. People still want collectables, etc. Might not believe me, but the market doesn’t lie.
      In terms of TSM, that is recorded from my mailbox being opened. I sell everything in a day, then loot it either that night or the next morning. So during my mass amount of sales, as it trickled into the mailbox, my 50 stew sale + 20 stew sale + 140 stew sale, gets combined into a single 210 stew sale in my mailbox and then that 210 is recorded to the ledger. When you are selling so many at once, they stack into 1000s. There’s no point in me lying to you. Test it out, and go make some gold

Me personally I didn’t get to play s2 so I’m now getting back into the game and setting up cd alts alch/tailoring and I stumbled across this gold mine been crafting them for 65-70g and selling for 500-1000 gold if you want I can show you my ledge just from the past 7 days also it’s very clear that you have never dipped your toes into these markets and hopefully won’t
