I was raised on a cow ranch in Idaho, and I ate nothing but beef, potatoes, corn, and in summer, tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden. The I joined the army and went to Korea and learned to love Korean food, especially fish, squid, bean sprouts, hot peppers, fermented soy paste and of course, kimchi. I became so physically addicted to my new diet that coming home to the "beef potatoes and corn" diet was really hard. At first....lol.
The truth about Ladd Drummond seems to be that he comes from a disciplined, ambitious and hardworking family; is himself disciplined, ambitious and hardworking; married a woman who is disciplined, ambitious and hardworking; and is raising his children to be the same. Pity that there are not more people like his family and him in the world.
There are more families like you describe around the world but they're not news.

I love her and everything she does. Her children are just that, children and you can tell they are one of her passions. Her cooking is right up my alley and I make sure I fix lots of her dishes to share. I’ve been to Pawhuska but couldn’t make the home tour because it was in July and after all they live on a working Ranch. Can’t wait to go again.
We love her blog! We have been reading it for a long time. She’s very confident, and her material is always on point and a little different from everyone else. Thank you so much for sharing this video! We had no idea about her private life and now we do.

I love watching her! My daughter first told me about her and I just never thought to look on UA-cam or online for her cooking shows, etc. but I finally did and tada today she inspired me to make a corn chowder!! Also my sweet daughter bought me a beautiful Pioneer Woman Instant Pot! I love to create in the kitchen so I will be learning from her. I'm making the raspberry pie for Thanksgiving and the peanut butter pie too!
I love the Pioneer Woman's cookbooks and she has the nicest personality. My family is from Pawhuska so it's nice to hear that their family has helped the town stay alive!

Couldn’t agree more! 99.99% of us watching are ordinary people in our ordinary homes. Packaged and canned... it’s what we have in our pantry. This is one reason she’s the only cooking show I watch. I can relate to her

You know, it's funny, who you are really stands out. The first time I ever saw her on UA-cam I stopped and immediately loved her, I also liked what she was coking at the time, and I wrote something nice in the comments and I've been on and off watching her cook. I liked her show and her down to earth manner, and now that I've listened to that beautiful love story I am not at all surprised. Her husband reminds me of those men you read about in love novels...lol...he is the epitomy of what I imagined he would look like. Beautiful story...stay together ALWAYS...much love.

I was fan the first time I seen her cooking show waaay back, but I’ve become a bigger fan of the whole family when she introduced whole family and ranch scene into the mix.

My sister's and I went to her restaurant and it very reasonable priced and tasted great. Her father in law was eating there and one of her boys was bussing tables. Her brother and sister in law were there eating and my sister took a picture with them they were very friendly.
I ador e the whole family very very happy for their success, they have worked hard for all of it. Cant wait for the wedding, sure hope they film & share the fun (as a caterer myself I have such a passion for the brided and grooms)

Invited him to school in my cooking class I made him a four course meal and been married to him for 47 years I cook every day and my family loves it. I agree. If you've ever known a cowboy(I'm from Texas), they don't like being on camra most often or a lot of hoopla. They are best in the countryside with few people. Call them somewhat shy.
