Many women who married into royalty were commoners, so what is the big deal? Catherine is well bred and elevates the royal family and so will her parents!

The Middletons also gave William a sense of peace and experience of the lifestyle his one day subjects were living. Truly wonderful parents, who raised an exceptional person to one day be queen.

I completely understand where you’re coming from but based on the British class system, they are still decidedly middle (perhaps upper middle) class. Some titled aristocratic families have become penniless through the years but are still part of the “upper” class. It’s all about lineage, I’m afraid. Though it’s worth noting that the Michael Middleton’s forefathers are from the landed gentry.
