I found your sheet music for this song. Yay! I absolutely love it. It has such a wonderful sound to it and I'm looking forward to the day I can play it even 1/10th as good as you can.
I hadn't expect it up front, but the Salvi Egan sounded the best to me in this piece. Not because of the overall sound, but because the difference between piano and mezzoforte. It followed your technique and musicality beautifully.
This video was REALLY helpful to me, as I am a pianist turned harpist, and still learning to play this beautiful instrument! I "resonate" with all of your explanations and comparisons. Thank you! Listening with headphones changed what I thought was my favorite. Excellent suggestion!!! I subscribed to your channel ! I currently own a Lyon & Healy Prelude (my first one) which I use to play in weddings and several times a month in a church orchestra. Also bought a Dusty Strings Allegro at a harp conference for its portability and for my daughters to learn on. Sometimes I really prefer its clear and bright sound, especially for Irish pieces. The ornamentation seem easier to play and articulate on the nylon strings. I really appreciate the delicate sound of some of the handcrafted harps; especially love the lever harps built by William Rees. For the piece that you played, I loved the clear, forward tone of the Dusty Strings and my second favorite the was the Llawenydd! I would love to purchase the piece that you composed, and learn to perform it. The variety of techniques is wonderful and it was so entertaining to watch and listen to. Thanks again!!

Camac is best for me! I own a Celtic Isolde and the sound and string tension is ideal for me, the design is beautiful and they are definitely not cheap but still affordable for hobby harpists who want a high quality instrument that doesn’t break the bank. My teachers had a Salvi Mia and Aoyama and I didn’t like them. The first sentence in the video is so true, it depends on your needs, not on price or design alone. Your harp must resonate with your heart

I play a Camac Melusine, and it's worth mentioning that as well as the models being different, the individual harps are very different as well! Different woods, different grains, and the sound can change dramatically. The one I went for in the end has a much richer sound than the ones I tried at the same time, and what mattered most for me was whether it matched my voice. Every harp is unique... but yes, Camac do make a gorgeous instrument!
Thank you so much! What a wonderful video. I especially like the point of liking them ALL! each one had its own particular flavor! This is exactly how I am with the harps I own! Viva la difference!

All harps sound angelic :-D Joking, it really depends what your tastes are. Some people prefer a clear and crispy sound, some other more warm and round. My advice is to go to a competent shop (or more shops) with a lot of choice and try different harps and models.
