Damn, you really uploaded this EXACTLY when I lost hope of finding up-to-date KOF02 guides. All of this will make getting into this game so much easy, thank you!
I recommend checking the channel linked in the description that made the nameless video, not only do they teach combos with shortcuts they also have tips and tricks vids with setups and such
Some things are explained well some arent, the section about shortcut inputs just says "the shortcuts are crucial, ask knowledgeable players" and later he keeps on trolling with "some cancel combos arenr possible without the use of shortcuts" that explained nothing but the need to ask knowledgeable players because these shortcuts are super mega important and basically needed to play the game 😂
Great information! I always knew that KOF was quirky but as someone who's played fighting games his entire life, yet not playing KOF alongside real KOF players, there's no way, outside of digging through vids and FAQs that I would have known about most of these input qualities. Thanks!
You're content does so much for the fighting game community and introducing new players to concepts. Your channel is right up there with Core-A Gaming, in value.
Really good guide, the tips even with the demonstration on how to pull them off are well shown. Personally I really don't like the Max activation combos in 2k2, they improved it a lot in XIII and XIV by adding automatic run on activation, it made the execution of more advanced combos WAY better.
Your explanation about early vs late Max Mode activation off hit made me realize I was having the same issue with KOF13's HD Mode. In KOF13, I would get an unwanted normal after activating HD mode off hit and had no idea why until this video. Now, with the knowledge of canceling it early enough, I can now activate HD mode no problem in KOF13. Thanks!
This is the best kof tutorial ever. I've been into the game recently and this is gold. I have struggled with most of the video says. Nowhere else I found this information
Excellent video, all the advice given here is definitely very helpful things to know. I didn't even know about the trick with being able to do an attack after a jump-in right before you actually land. Also, thanks for linking to the discord and wiki. Good stuff Novril!
I wonder if maybe the cancelling early is what I need to do to actually get strings to work Tbh the hardest part of KoF execution at the start is just making my light normal strings consistent. For 98umfe & 2k2um
idk what happens but ANY of my combos connect even if i do the inputs, like if the game doesnt even get it, even if the commands appear on screen :C does anyone have this? but if i do it separetly always connect but when i try con connect them like a chain combo, it just doesnt go in like a lag input idk
Nice video. Im studying how to play KOF as looking foward to the KOFXV. Is KOFXIII not suitable for getting practice to learn the game mechanics or is the game mechanics of KOF2002UM is going to be exact inline with KOFXV?
Wow. This guide made me want to play the game LESS than before. Just from hearing how this game works, I'm sure that I would hate trying to play it. Thanks for warning me against this garbage! ^^
KOF02 is what people who watch trial videos think KOF 13 is like

I love that the dpad on the controller in the thumbnail uses proper number notation
only the best for the TRUE KoF player!
Damn, this is so detailed and well-explained. KOF2002 is such a classic, and it makes me happy that there are people who are still uploading for it

Didn't know about the 4 frames input lag, may be that's the reason I find some stuff uncomfortable to do. Great video.
Thumbnail game on point

Thank you for making this. A lot of these shortcuts I didn't know about.
A execution tip that’s bound to help you win matches is to go the bottom row, pick igniz, and qcf C. Your winrate with grow exponentially.
Isn't Igniz banned in tournaments?
@@gates7831 yes the dude is making a joke
The buffer tip was awesome now i am doing power dunks with more accuracy.
This explains why I'm having such trouble with KoF combos
OMG, at 5:03 i was mentioned!
I've included a link to your source vid in the description
@@novriltataki I really appreciate it, it's an honor for me be mentioned on your channel 🙇🙇
A minute and a half into the video, and im already learning a lot of things a didn't knew xP
Thank you :)

That's not an improvement, that's a baby mode max mode, it's supposed to be difficult to perform.
@@ayoubyash7468 no need to gatekeep, lol.
Not a fan of the auto run but I do wish it was like as easy as it is in 13 but keeping it as fast as 02UM

I was not aware of that 4f delay. Pretty good video.

Good video for beginners and even some intermediate level players trying to take it to the next level
Kof seems hard until you learn how many shortcuts there are.
The 4 frame delay is exclusive to UM or is it in other games? And great video btw
They only stopped doing it from KOF14 I think.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I finally know how to do combos with angel more easily 💖
Another fantastic video, thanks!
Another execution tip, to throw while in running state, input b+C/D
I didn't think there was a fighting game close to DN but looks like I may have found one 👀
11. Go to graphic setting and turn off flash
Wtf I never knew about 2. You just blew up my mind
This is so helpful, thanks for this video
This video is very helpful.(Playing this game on hitbox and keyboard is hard)

can you please explain how to kensel the zarezhnye inputs in super, for example, hederna 28lp 236 236lp 2:47
Is there a shortcut to cancel the slide into half circle back kick easier for seth ?

Majority of the KOF games are fine to play, especially XIII. Very fun game.
Excellent explanation
Pure gold my friends!
any tips to perform more easier K Dash or Kula combo (shoriuken and super, like Nameless in tip number 6 on the video)?
Amazing
I thought the hold special move buffer was a KOFXIII thing only.
Thanks for the video
Tip #2 saved my failing marriage.
No joke it's a game changer.
that's so useful
Great tips!
I miss my wife

Salvou muito!
Yeah i cant do namelesses insane input super at the bottom
My son has the thumbnail controller 😂😂😂
Ur funnie dude!!! Nice vid
Any knowledgeable players on Nameless and how to do that move with strange crouch movement? Thanks!
You should stream more
what mean "cw" and "sc" in skill list
Counter wire and special cancel, counter wire is bounce on counter hit
I need that pad
I never actually knew about the buffer system. Does that apply to other titles?
If so, sheesh. I could have such a better cancel game honestly.
Applies to other KOF games too
"You must consider the 4 frame lag" ok, I'm out. Fck this game 😂😂
too bad im too broke to buy a joy stick and have to stick with keyboard 😭
jesus...
@novriltataki please kindly check Ggxrd Rev 0
