I never rode the s89 yet. I want to this summer I've only rode on MTA's second gen Prevosts one time so far. I've taken one of the midtown express routes only one time. Everytime I see MTA Prevosts, it sends chills down my spine. Those Prevosts are exactly like Greyhounds. Engine and transmission and everything else......... except the bathrooms😁
As another comment mentioned below yours, Yukon will run Prevosts on the S89 if they don’t have enough LFS. They also ran them regularly when construction took place on the Bayonne Bridge.

Felt like a Staten island-New Jersey Express, imagine a *SIJ1* Express
imo it should use njt buses as well then 😮
staten island getting a feel of NJT operations. i remember at one point that day the S56 was running 100% prevosts.
Why does the S89-LTD sometimes run on express buses?

HOW DID THAT RUN ON THE S89??!
Yukon was short of LFSs so they had to use a Prevost to replace it for the day
