This isn't going to be rare because they'll be on the shuttle eventually. I would be on the lookout this summer as there will be plenty of R211s and one of them will be on the shuttle.
I bet it was well worth travelling that far in the middle of the night for that catch.

The Rockaway park shuttle is assigned to Pitkin yard and the R211's are assigned to Pitkin as well, so this can happen again
