No thank you for the comment, and in the Phil's it's very underdeveloped and understood that many feed their families this way, that's understood but catching fingerling pelagic species by the tons to " sell" , that's a problem that unfortunately the Philippines will not recover from. It shows right now the effects. 25 percent of the worlds fisherman are in the Philippines and the area is the size of a small USA state. Fish numbers here have decreased by 60-80 percent statistically and locals here blame it on china, 1/3 of corals here are dead/ fossilized, due to o we fishing with cyanide, dynamite, micro plastic pollution and simply no regulations. Thanks again for the comment sir I really appreciate it

I've been enjoying your videos. I live out in WA the last 20+ years but I was born and raised in Guam. Both my parents are from the philippines. My father actually has some beach property on Luzon adjacent to Marindue, in Agdangan. I hope to build a small place there in the next few years. The wife and I plan to retire in the PI. I do quite a bit of fishing, never in the philippines..yet. I am just getting back into Freediving/spearfishing, but mostly still just Kayak Fishing and plan to travel and fish all over the Philippines. Hope to meet you some day and do some fishing. Keep the good vlogs.

Hey buddy, first of all thanks for subscribing I'm glad to see the channel finding its proper audience. Have you been here yet ? Kayak fishing was a big part of my life after hurricane Katrina I did a few magazines and fishing shows back then, I loved it. If you're moving here and you want to fish , I highly recommend having a boat be it native banka or outboard, the fish near any population of Filipinos is highly over fished with nets. There are plenty reef and pelagic species out in the deep. Spearfishing is the only approach really to take a good fish home if you stay close to land to fish. Beautiful thing about spearing here is there are no sharks except whale sharks , they say the Chinese have taken all the sharks here.
Let's get up ,keep me informed about that move I'd love to have some company out, this place is soo much more peaceful than back west, that peace is a big part of my move here. 💥🇵🇭✊💥

@CaptkanoyMRQ yeah I might have to invest in a bangka. But it'll need to be big enough to mothership a kayak or 2. Maybe rig up racks on the outriggers. I was just kayak fishing in Panama at Los Buzos with a couple of other UA-camrs. I had a blast. In March I'm heading to La Paz for the Pan American Kayak Fishing Tournament representing Guam with some other salty kayak fisherman.

@@booniedog671 I love that idea , back I. The states I had two cradles mounted on my center console , it's the only way to kayak fish, allows access to islands quickly to really get into a good bite. If you get a big bangka just know that it's hard to launch unless you have minimal 4 guys. Weather is too wild here to leave her in the water too long. I left mine a week once to have access quickly but it was behind my oh beach house at the time and I went and checked it at night. Same night I discovered the caretaker destroying it to create more work for himself 😅 the very next day I had to move and keep the boat at a new location.

I also wanted to say that I thought you were fishing the shorelines on a scooter! I totally agree about the size regulations, but teaching sustainability when so many cannot afford too much is hard. But we do what we do. You’re currently living the life we are striving for. Continue the grind, and hopefully you’ll soon acquire the wider banka… I’m always checking prices on FB marketplace and groups throughout the island chain.

Yes, I agree 110%. Philippines needs to have regulations on fishing. In the near future, there will be no more fish to catch and their life depends on it.
