Coin shooter from Greenville, SC here. Love your videos! My son lives in Charleston, and the last time I went to visit him I took my Deus 1 to the beach and found a white gold 14K ring! Would never have dug that signal in the Upstate. Heading back down next week, hope my luck continues! Thanks for the good show.👍
I absolutely love your videos, your metal detecting channel is the only one I watch. You make the videos entertaining. I live in Tampa and at our house we didn’t do too bad. We lost power, but only for 2 days, so we were lucky. Our family room took on water, so that wood flooring is a goner. We did so much better than so many people. So I’m not complaining about what happened to us. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone who had damage and who suffered loss. Thanks for your videos, they make my day.
Hope things can stabilize soon. So many people affected by this. I am also glad you can go back out on the hunt! Wish I could get a cup of that sand with shells in it!
Love the videos, even with the destruction around you. People are resilient, they will rebuild, better and stronger.Your videos are part of the reason I got into metal detecting, along with metal detecting New York.Keep up the great videos, and stay safe !
Holy crap Shawn... ya gotta love that Deus 2 for finding a gold nugget. It is so sad about the devastation from the hurricane but us Floridians will rebuild. ;) Cheers, glad to see you are safe. H
I really appreciate your positive commentary and willingness to tidy up the shore as you go. Even the FPTs make me laugh! Thank you for what you do. Be safe.
I retired to Florida from Ohio 2 years ago aspiring to start detecting for fun & excitement, your channel is amazing! What a joy to see the happiness when you return a ring or momento to the surprised owner. Gary Drayton suggests buying the best equipment you can find & afford. Thank you for any advice or thoughts for a Treasure Coast beginner living in the Sebastian area. 🐌🐚💍
I feel so bad for everyone. It’s heartbreaking. We have been praying for everyone affected by the storms and hurricanes. I feel very blessed. I only had 7 inches of water in my house. I lost a lot of stuff but not my home or family. Western NC is devastated. Towns gone. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts for Florida and NC and all suffering. 💔
Congratulations on finding the beautiful gold nugget! I enjoy watching your UA-cam channel to see what treasures you will dig up next. Happy hunting! 😊
That’s where i beach by the 1st house with red orange roof.Between the second and third pier. All the way back in ‘86. Anna Maria made me move to FLA in ‘ 87. Very very special place for me. She will rebuild.AMI Strong💪❤
That gold nugget was a awesome find. Seeing the aftermath from the storm is so saddening. But, at least you found those Freakin Pull Tabs....LOL Keep the videos coming
Shaun, Yes they still make the Hug Jugs. Congrats on the gold nugget find. Glad to see you made it through hurricane Helene and Milton. Hope ya have a wonderful week.
the 50 cal bullet, with sand on back is a 20th round on ammo belt, for a tracer round, the heat melts sand into a ball...i find many below sharkys ,venice..2 miles south, after big storms
Very cool! Between the gold nugget, and the Model T key (my grandfather had one of those!) that is one very nifty day of finds! Wishing the best to the folks affected by the hurricane!
I love the cans 🤣 I know they're probably not the most exciting things to find for you but the random garbage you find genuinely my favorite part of your videos. Thanks for showing us the island too! Absolutely incredible how bad that storm was.
Nice hunt Shawn congrats on the gold nugget 👍 I have been killing it lately with gold - silver jewelry and I know how much you like old stuff I also found a large flat button broach or pin, has 2 marks on the back instead of a center mark where it would have attached, a old harmonica reed, and a 1865 2 cent piece 👊
Good to see your back on the beaches! That gets back some normalcy after all this crazy ass weather we've been having. Congrats on the gold find it is AU some. 😂
That is 100% a gold tooth (or crown). Bucket lister for sure. They usually originate from the spreading of ashes, but can of course just fall out. My buddy found one on a lake Lake Tahoe beach and I found one locally. They typically ring up at 14-18K but the remainder of the alloy is usually mostly platinum. Very nice.
I took it in to get checked out, and they said that it's a naturally formed nugget. I'm not sure what that was doing on a Florida beach, but I'd love to know the story behind how it got there
$325 at least for the 18k nugget, great find! Also good to see the effect of what hurricanes do to the beaches, as horrible as it is for the residents. 😢
I’m from AMI and love that you show the aftermath of a hurricane- there’s 15’ of sand on top of some beaches just north of us. Midnight pass closed up with sand. Manatee public beach is down to that hard sand so I was wondering if it uncovered stuff or buried it. Dad works for Manatee County Park/ Beaches and the plan is to put the sand in lots so that it can be sifted before putting it back on the beach. One big problem is that the sewer system was completely plugged by the sand on AMI.
Its so sad to see how badly the area suffered. I could have shown a lot more, but wanted to respect the home owners privacy. My friend has hit the beaches near Manatee for the last 6 days, and hasn't found much of anything other than trash :(
@@DetectFlorida So much sand moved, my dad runs the sand screen on AMI gulf beaches. I asked him if there was any “Hard Pack” sand. He said all the sand they pumped up on the beach is strewn inland across the island and intra coastal. You’re the most respectful UA-camr I know of! God Bless.
Hey Shawn!! Got into Clearwater Beach up north of you last two day and fared about same! Crusty coins, a little junk jewelry and suprprising not alot of junk?? A little aluminium and junk metal but surprising not much else?? Good Luck my friend and keep swining!!! 🤙👍👍👍
Wow, you did crushed though. You found a gold nugget, but beyond that you survived Helene and Milton. I hope your family and friends fared well too. Thank God for the blessings. We hear such horrors you people endured and are still enduring.
Praying for everyone in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina. If they rebuild those homes they need to be raised on reinforced concrete piers. The insurance alone will keep many from rebuilding.
Wow a gold nugget! Hurricane’s are so bad especially when they have tornadoes with them, living in Tornado Alley is almost as bad as living in hurricane alley. Those freakin pull tabs….lol. Glad you’re back out.
Wow, the gold nugget is cool. I wonder where it came from? Worn out treasure from a sunken ship? We are not really known for gold around here... though I hear they do have some in north Florida. An old mine was in Gold Head Branch State Park. Central fl is very small gold in rivers and springs I think. Never met anyone who found any; that is just what the internet says.
It's part of the hobby that love. When I find something that shouldn't be there, it means that there's a story behind it that I'll likely never know. I still try to come up with my own explanations though!
The shaft is made by Steve's Detector Rods. The factory deus 2 shaft is made of injection molded plastic, and is way too floppy for water hunting. It causes an excessive amount of resistance and fatigue. Swapping to carbon fiber is a must if you plan on hunting for long periods of time in the water. Chris was using a Manticore
I just follow all of the facebook groups for the different beaches. Something in the Facebook algorithm always puts lost item posts at the top of my feed. Also, a lot of locals know me, and reach out to me if they hear of anyone losing anything
Am I the only person to see the cross he left behind in the basket at 12:15? Took the penny and didn’t look any closer - just wondering? Congrats on the gold nugget though!
Thanks for answering my question. I felt so bad that you “missed” something that may have been of value to you. You are a good Creator! Answering your community’s comments speaks highly of your dedication to the channel, and the videos are fun to watch! Thank you!
Because I have an entire beach to search. If I overlap each swing, I'm not being efficient. Only overlap each swing when you're trying to recover something in a specific area or when you find a small washed out area
Seeing your gold nugget find is like how your subs feel when we find a new video from you!
Neat analogy. ;)
i'd still prefer real gold though, but yes!
And so say all of us!
Sending the people affected our love from England. God Bless the USA.
Thanks Lisa...my niece is in North Carolina...first underwater, now under a mud slide 😢
That was great gold nugget 🎉 So sad to see devastation 😢
The gold nugget makes up for all of the freakin pull tabs 😊
Ah, but we turned the ‘freakin’ pull tabs’ into a drinking game. We LOVE the freakin’ pull tabs! 😂
Those Tassie prospecting boys are going to be jealous.
Levi and Rob are awesome!
Dude...that gold nugget is insane!!!..... And Chris's key is pretty sweet also...two very unique items...good jib guys...and beautiful day!!

The gold nugget might be from a necklace i remember back in the late 70's thru the 80's of seeing and having necklaces like that.

Hello, So Beautiful thank You for Sharing 🙏
I am coming to Florida next September from the UK I keep my eye open for on the beaches
Amazing finds. Should visit a jeweler and make something of the nugget & key 🧐
The aluminum tube looks to be a straw for a drink bottle, to replace the plastic ones.
Wowzzza🎉 I love finding gold..
What a great nugget to find. Can’t help but feeling the devastation around the area though 😢
Awesome guys!
Thats awesome well done x
Great find!! Better than a freakin' pull tab any day!
No doubt!!
Congratulations on the gold nugget Shawn. I thought for sure that you would find Spanish gold...maybe next time
Thank you!
I pray for all the great people who was affected by the hurricane and wish you good luck amen 🙏 🙌 ❤️
No such thing as luck. It's God. God is w/ we hurricane victims. He sees us through them. :) Thnx B2 God. :) Amen.
