Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are at the top of my list, Apart from Joseph Trapanese, I think they would be the most qualified to add to the sonic ethos of the Tron Universe. Social Network, Gone Girl, Girl with the dragon Tattoo, Waves, Soul, The Bear, Challangers: all feature an electronic style which I feel would honor the previous Tron Score, while adding more evocative elements to the score. (standout tracks being Technically Missing, Challengers, Pieces Form a Whole, In Motion, Empty Places) Plus,Trent Reznors experience with Nine Inch Nails would make for some really interesting compositions in the Tron universe
at most I can see Thomas Bangalter doing it since he's been moving in that direction post Daft Punk splitting up, but as this video stated the reconfigured album likely tarnished any relation either of the duo had with Disney
i honestly believe they already got a composer for ares before production began but still keep it as secret, usually things like composer, cinematographer or writers are some of the big things to announce for a project as big as this but it kinda weird that they only kept the composer from the announcement, it must be a surprise reveal for the fans because music is one of the main things that fans across the world love about tron and i think they want to do the same effect that legacy did before with daftpunk
@Airrazor0620 yes. But Daft Punk was announced to score Legacy in March of 2009 before the title of the film was revealed in July of that same year at Comic Con. If they were going for that, they would've said who it was by now
i love hans and ludwig ireally do.. they are a great composer but judging from their style of how they made music for their films i don't think it would fit tron type of music, tron 1 and 2 keep that synthwave, retro mix with epic modern instrument. would be a lovely surprise if they got the duo cameback again on ares even if not back as daftpunk. as of now i really hope they hired joseph trapenese again, but if they don't my last hope would be m83 collab again with another composer such as trent reznor and atticus ross, oh and i saw blue beetle movie when it came out and the music got me thinking maybe the composer bobby krlic can be one of the choices to compose tron ares
I wish I had learned of your request for suggestions. I personally think that Klayton of Celldweller/Scandroid would work as an excellent composer for a Tron Ares soundtrack. Listen to some of his stuff.
My main suggestions would be Rezz as my first choice, then French electronic musician Madeon as my second choice, and as my 3rd choice, I think Skrillex was originally going to do it when it was called TRON Ascension so I'd go with him. and my dream pick that will never happen is Close to the Sun AKA Myself. That being said, Paul Oakenfold recently posted about doing work for Disney so right now that's my leading bet as to who it actually will be
You missed another name that I and others mentioned on twitter! Nicholas Britell!! He did the Andor soundtrack which was absolutely killer and matched the Tron vibes really well in that score!
Yesterday and today im working on a film set where Kosinski is a director and I really wanna find him and thank him for his work on Tron Legacy! I know its unrelated to the video but I just wanted to say this somewhere the Tron community would see it haha :)
Huge Disney hack reported earlier, apparently over a terabyte of as-yet unreleased project material taken, very good chance there's some Tron 3/franchise related stuff included.
@chj2 No idea yet. Given the timing and the size of the files, could be anything from emails about future plans for the franchise and release dates, to concept art, scripts, rough trailers, anything up to a rough workprint of the movie. It's possible that there may well be nothing at all, so not too excited yet, but prepared for potential spoilers.

Joachim was recently interviewed. They asked if he's bringing back daft punk and said, "I can't comment."

Joseph Trapanese would work incredibly well because of his work on both Legacy and Uprising. Ludwig Goransson would also be a great choice.
BANGER VIDEO

Natalie Holt would be a good choice. Have you head her score for Loki season 1+2?
I have heard the score for season 1 but not season 2. Based on what I've heard I definitely agree!
Kane pixels would be really cool
The guys from the Challengers movie
I knew it.
Rezz would be cool
I thought it would be nine inch nail?
Confirmed to be nine inch nails
Spoiler for composer:
Turns out it's NIN
