Too bad public restaurants in these buildings historically fail. There was a beautiful space in North Dallas under a big business building where 3 restaurants failed in 3 years. Easy access, gorgeous patio, amazing food at all 3 joints. They all fail inside of a year.
The Continental interior dining room shots were mostly shot inside of the Delmonico’s restaurant, and while this version isn’t the 1837 original and has little connection to it other than the name and a faithful recreation of the luxurious interior, the interior has the look and feel of a bygone era of grandeur. It was in operation from 1999 and has only had recent issues since 2020 due to covid and disputes amongst the owners.
@@stevenhetzel6483 ? There are plenty of publicly available restaurants in NYC of extremely high caliber with both location, staff, and food. Plenty have been open much longer than a year, but I guess it would depend on your interpretation of ‘publicly available’ as most will cost much more than the average person would pay for a dinner
John Wick - Continental Hotel. Spiderman - Daily Bugle main office during Andrew Garfield movies. Batman - Stock Market building Bane robbed. The Boys - The Boys hide out in a room here after they release Soldier Boy. It was also featured in The Adjustment Bureau, Hitch, Godzilla, I Am Legend, TMNT, and Armageddon (that I know of/ can remember)
You're mixing up multiple different triangular NYC buildings. The Bugle was the Flatiron on 23rd; the Continental is the Cocoa building in FiDi; the Batman stock market building is something else entirely; etc.
I had worked across the street from that building. Always knew it as the Cocoa exchange. Delmonico’s on the next block is a popular Instagram spot. Both iconic triangular buildings.
I have worked in NYC for 20plus years. same thing I thought I knew a lot but all of these little things I have probably passed by not even knowing to look for them. wish he would do more about the other boros
I love to look at old architecture, seeing the skill that was necessary to carve beautiful pieces from stone without power tools. I’ve missed my team and bus stops many times because I’m too busy looking out of the windows 😂
Honestly it's probably become a John wick themed hotel that'd be cool as so long as they preserved the original authentic architecture as far as it exists
Delmonico building still stands?? That is a huge piece of New York City history and is rarely mentioned! Cornelius Vanderbilt used to have lunch there with his friends DAILY back when it was a restaurant!
The interior of the continental in John Wick 3 was filmed in the Williamsburgh Savings Bank building.. it needed a bigger interior than the previous movies for the fight scene
I have swung off the corner of that building thousands of times! It's not the tallest building in town, but it was the first building I actually recognized as REAL when I played Spider-Man.
Yes definitely, make the whole building john wick themed, including the multi million dollar glass room :)

@@justaservant666 nobody fucking asked, you lunatic.
Yup totally agree 💯👍
Yes, let's make rent even more expensive in a city that charges $2k per mo for a closet
A Continental decoration in the lobby would be perfect.

Rami's spiderman *

This man literally said "co-co-uh"
I’m disgusted! Americans and their bastardisation of the English language have gone too far 😂

Keanu Reeves should live there and freak people out as he walks out of the building in character.
Taking his dog for a walk 🐕
Brilliant idea
With his head on a swivel!
OMG Yes es, I hope Keanu somehow reads this 😂
Are you people like 12?
I had worked across the street from that building. Always knew it as the Cocoa exchange. Delmonico’s on the next block is a popular Instagram spot. Both iconic triangular buildings.
I wonder how many flat irons there are in Manhattan.
That what I thought this building was but the area didn’t look correct
What's the location
My boss bought me dinner at that Delmonico. I didn’t know that it was used for John Wick 😊cool
Ur boss 👀
@@johnathanlee4367 LOL thought the same thing.
Your boss hah? Hmm
uhuh...boss...righttt
You sure you’re not an assassin?
Yes, many would stay in the continental hotel and enjoy the john wick franchise.
Welcome back , Mr. Wick
It's a pleasure for having you with us. Enjoy your stay, sir.
I’m from New York City and I’ve learned more watching your and Actionkids’ videos than when we lived there in Manhattan. 👍🤗😊

Knowledge is power!
you literally just gave real estate moguls and tourist agencies an 💡 idea
Absolutely. Class never goes out of style.
Love your quick history clips, please keep them coming!!
Yes, I would like to see it back as a Hotel - super location and super building!
The Wick Hotel would be a draw, and the building looks awesome anyway
I would definitely stay there if they made it into a John Wick theme hotel
You better have coins. Don't use money. You finna be clowned and probably put down

Yes, life can imitate art.
Yes it should be. IT'S beautiful.
When the restaurant was there, it catered to affluent Wall Street execs.
I would like to see it returned to being a hotel it’s a beautiful building!
Are you going to pay for that?
It would be amazing to make it into a continental themed hotel the money they’d make and I’d definitely pay to go there for a stay
Good luck coming across a gold coin to get in the door.
Only certified OGs know this as the Daily Bugle building.
If it was made as John Wick themed continental hotel I’d stay there for sure
When John Wick 4 comes out, they should put Continental decorations in this building as a way to celebrate the release of the new chapter!
Definitely, it makes it more exciting. IT'S JOHN WICKS!!!❤
This is a totally “bigger on the inside” moment
Delmonico building still stands?? That is a huge piece of New York City history and is rarely mentioned! Cornelius Vanderbilt used to have lunch there with his friends DAILY back when it was a restaurant!
Its definitely gorgeous
Born and raised in NYC, I never knew these details from your videos. Thanks!
Imagine how much money they would make converting that building into a true John Wick Continental Hotel. 💰
NY has a fascinating urban architecture... Love it.
Yes please. I’m from South Africa, and that location is on my list of places to visit
Thank you for covering this building and talking about it. Nobody has ever talked about it before.
The owner of the building will definitely make money with that idea
Delmonicos is delicious! Used to go there a lot, and Leo’s Bagels down the street!
Ahhhh Leo's Bagels 👌🏼 So good. I used live across the road from Delmonico's and loved me a bagel from Leo's.
Never been to NYC. But I love love love the Delmonico steak. Yummy yum yum.
Leo’s Bagels is the best!
Absolutely , convert it back into the John Wick Continental Hotel...John Wick Theme. It would be a massive money maker..
Absolutely not. What a waste of a building that would be.
@@literallyanangrymoose7717 Agree to Disagree.
The marketing is there lol
I love these flat iron shaped buildings!
Also served as The Daily Bugle for the Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man Trilogy.
It’s not this building. That’s the Flatiron Building
I am completely nuts about your page! Thank you so much.
Go ask for the manager. 😂😂😂😂

I like how he captured bro making a music video in the background

The assassins are exchanging Chocolate Coins?!
Yes, make it look like the movie!
I love this channel it's so interesting. Living out in rural country Midwest.. it's fun to see things in the city... so rich with history
Best part of this video is the video being shot infront of Delmonicos.😂😂😂
That would be insane if they do
Yes, John wick theme the whole thing. It has now become a national treasure.
Love your content of New York history.
I’m walking by the building now. The space is still for lease
“Exchange”.
End of line.
So beautiful! I would really like one day to go to New York !
No that is the building you see the most in action filled car scenes in literal every single action movie
They should've just invested in it and make it a true continental hotel.
you can't fool me, this is the daily bugal

Only four assassins yes bring it back

Love these videos, history an architecture so interesting
"I've seen John Wick kill a guy with a chocolate tab, one day"
Glad they rebuilt it so quickly.
The marketing would go through the ceiling with that
What you don’t know is that it’s really the Continental and home for assassins 😂😂😂
The interior of the continental in John Wick 3 was filmed in the Williamsburgh Savings Bank building.. it needed a bigger interior than the previous movies for the fight scene
walked past this building so many times and failed to realize
The the most important detail is that it was designed by Franklin Lloyd Wright
No, it was designed by the architecture firm of Clinton and Russell. No idea where you're getting FLW from.
Me coming inside the building: I need a room and a suit
Also me: sliding golden coin to the receptionist
I love the old flatiron buildings.
They have a underground restaurant that’s pretty decent
*slides coin*
"The manager, please"
They’re making it into a Pop-up John Wick bar for the new show coming out.
I think it should be restored to what it was before. Good videos keep ‘‘em coming
If i ever make enough money you already know im making it a hotel
Your videos are spectacular! Such a nice way to inform people about the history of New York! Thank you for your work
You should do a video on the Flat Iron building!
How cool is that 😃 what an awesome building.
A real life hotel in the theme of Wick would be a pretty profitable business venture

How about turning the Flatiron building into a restored Continental Hotel with part of the building converted into condos.
