- Nell'amabile ricordo di don Arnaldo Madinelli, per anni parroco di Moniga del Garda (BS), che amò molto questo brano. Trattasi del famoso Panis Angelicus, storicamente il primo verso della penultima strofa dell'inno latino Sacris solemniis di San Tommaso d'Aquino. Esistono diverse versioni musicate di questo inno. La più celebre molto probabilmente è quella di César Franck che nel 1872 scrisse una partitura per tenore, organo, arpa, violoncello e contrabbasso, successivamente incorporata nella sua Messe à troi voix (Op. 12). Questa che suono è la versione integralmente organistica trascritta da Gouin. All'organo Luca Raggi, su sistema Hauptwerk e sample set del Cavaillè-Coll dell'Abbazia di St. Etienne, Caen. Buon ascolto.
In loving memory of don Arnaldo Madinelli, for years the pastor of Moniga del Garda (BS), who loved this song. Question of the famous Panis Angelicus, historically the first line of the penultimate stanza of the hymn Sacris solemniis Latin of St. Thomas Aquinas. There are several versions of this hymn to music. The most famous is probably that of César Franck and in 1872 he wrote a score for tenor, organ, harp, cello, and double bass, later incorporated into his harvest à troi voix (Op. 12). This is a version transcribed for organ by Gouin. Luca Raggi plays at the organ on a system with sample set of Hauptwerk Cavaillè-Coll of the Abbey of St. Etienne, Caen. Happy listening.

i sure do enjoy seeing you play. your selections are excellent. thanks for your work.. where is home for you. i know you have to be in europe somewhere. sometime i see your black and white cat and she enjoys you as well. i would love to have you play at our church one day. what a blessing it would be. perhaps in my travels i might meet up with you sometimes while i am in europe. i do play for a small baptist church here. i miss the liturgical music, as i am episcopalian (church of england (anglican) i am located in north carolina on the eastern coastal side. i have played for most all faiths including jews. your name tells me you are likely italian.

This is amazing. My friend is singing this in a concert in the summer and I am needed to play it. It couldn't be possible for you to pass on the music could it?? No worries if you can't. It is just really hard to find the right version.

Wonderful rendition of this piece, I really like it!!
The only thing i do not like is the tremulant. On a real organ I would use it, but since the Caen tremulants are not sampled, they sound too artificial for my liking.
