Oh my, that was sublime!! Those views of the Basilica were wonderful Tom & a glorious backdrop to Jonathan's stunning rendition. Thank you both for this little gem.
Here, Johnathan reveals his past as a church organist like he never left. (The first Parochial School I attended was ethnically Polish. My First Communion prayer book was in Polish and Latin). From Chicago. U.S.A., Warsaw's Sister City.
I wos there in The Basilica (first time in Poland) the first week of September (2023). Was amazed to see all the Beautiful Art work inside. One of the most beautiful thing I ever seen. And I'm Italian. I Love Polish People too for the true dedication to the Virgin Mary & the Chatolic Church. GOD Bless Poland & the Polish !!! Amen * 🙂
You guys ROCK. OK it wasn't baroque but this work and Jonathan's performance was so awesome I can live with it. One day I hope these guys discover the works of Bruhns and Sweelinck. What a day that will be!
This beautiful classical music will always shine on whatever musical instrument it is played. But Jonathan manages to make even more shiny than the gold of this beautiful pipe organ, in addition to Tom's special care of great quality filming. 🙌❤️🎶🙏
It did not end up being linked to a religion. Read its history. Read Bach’s life story. It was written by Bach and every single piece of music JS Bach wrote, he himself personally wrote on his score (the very original) this line: For The Glory of God. I cannot recall now whether in Latin or German. It started with his faith in Jesus Christ but now it has ended being a secular piece non-Christian organists play. They choose to play it in a particular church only for the great acoustics, nothing to do with one’s faith.
Absolutely glorious, Jonathan! And the videography is superb as well.
Very peaceful and reverant. Thank you
Wonderful!Thank you.

Brilliant! But why did You put the cantus firmus down in the Pedal? (No doubt that You can Do it)
アヴェマリアは、パイプオルガンで聴くのが至高。
Am I allowed to download your recording to play before Mass?
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Where can I buy this particular version of the music?
Gounod originally composed this piece, Bach just tweaked the score?
Bach did the accompaniment, the melody with the lyrics of the Ave Maria was Gounod. It was Bach-Gounod.
@@deborasilsagomes so it was a collaboration between Bach and Gounod?
@@oludotunjohnshowemimo434 Yes! 👍
How is it I see 7 comments mentioned but can only read 2? What is happening?
I see there are 6 but can read 7
The only thing I regret is that it ended up being linked to a religion.

Proof that man was created by God to worship Him. You did not descend from a beast.
