- In this video you can hear the Chaconne in d minor (Ciacona, T. 204) by Johann Pachelbel, German organist and composer who lived at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
This composer is best known for his contribution to the development of the Chorale Prelude and Fugue.
Among his compositions include chorales, fugues, toccatas and Preludes, chaconnes and variations and fantasias.
Luca Raggi plays the Ciacona in d minor by Pachelbel on hauptwerk system, sample set of Batz organ, Cathedral of Utrecht.

Very wonderful playing, beautiful instrument, great technique, quiet body language is always good. I only wish the theme of the chaconne would be more and more prominent in the registration as the piece unfolds. Is this not possible since there are no pistons that I can see?
Thank you Dale :-) Yes, there are pistons. This is my first attempt with the chaconne by Pachelbel, my interpretation :-) Obviously everything can be improved and this is my aim ;-)

Excellent ! And a wonderful Hauptwerk System ! I use a 2.2Ghz laptop for my Hauptwerk so I can use the Mt.Carmel Skinner on a Hammond Regent console with an added keyboard for the third manual.

Have you ever shared what your audio system is? I have an old MIDI organ and an iMac, but I have not started yet with Hauptwerk. I still just use the poor 25 year old samples in the organ itself . I assume you have a very good DAC and high quality powered speakers. (Which I don't have yet.) Can you tell us what equipment you use with your Schwindler?
I have no idea how to shop for speakers, DACs, or amplifiers.
Hi, I would like to thank you, you are very kind, on the hardware of my system I will confess that I do not know much, I can say with certainty that the pc of the organ is very powerful, 32 gb of ram and a 4.7 ghz cpu, external sound card, 4 audio speakers KRK Rokit 5 for the multichannel and two touchscreen displays on the sides of the console ^_^

avenuedumaine1315 Grazie mille, in realtà ne ho utilizzato quattro differenti con montaggio multicamera, ma sono un paio di Sony, una panasonic (quella normalissime full hd da 2-300 euro) e una canon HV-30 :-)
Grazie molte per le precisazioni; ma per editare questo bel montaggio ha operato tutto con applicativi audio-video, poichè il suono è di ottima qualità e viene direttamente dalla sua scheda audio, dico bene?
avenuedumaine1315 Esatto :-) L'audio è preso direttamente dalla scheda audio del computer che gestisce hauptwerk e poi montato insieme alle tracce video con final cut pro su un computer mac :-)
