In general I'm a patient person, but Xenoblade is so good that I ALWAYS want more.
Yes, the "Dimitri Yuriev" line is no coincidence. He's one of the most important characters in Xenosaga, that was no accident. I highly recommend experiencing both Gears and Saga, because there's so much here that also references Xenogears. The "Philadelphia class ships," is another reference to Gears as well! This scene also made me lose my mind! Also the final boss theme is a huge mix of Zanza the Divine (XC1), Godsibb (Xenosaga), and Awakening (Xenogears) It's so damn good man ahaha Such an awesome reaction to the ending man, really great!
Actually, N IS the one that puts an end to the whole moebius thing. That was the point of this remark. At the very end of 3, without N's (and M's) help, the cycle would have continued, because non-moebius had no way of doing anything to Z once it "got berserk". If N and M didn't show at at this moment, everything would have been reset
So Matthew's remark is actually a call-forward. N WILL be the one that takes down moebius at the very end. Not even Noah, who was powerless at this moment, but N himself.
Yeah, Mathew isn't predicting anything, or rather, not like that. He's simply saying, "maybe you'll change your mind one day and take down moebius yourself."
The name-drop most likely isn't just a reference. If we were talking a completely different game seiries, sure. But we're talking about a game in the Xeno Franchise, in a world that resembles Xenoblade, in a lore heavy cutscene that pusd emphasis on the radio, and them using the exact same name. Also, a logo from Xenosaga was in that radio
the credits even mention Bandai Namco so its 100% connected and not just a small easter egg

The Eldridge. The colony ship that started all the Xenos in Xenogears is dubbed a Philadelphia class Mothership...now get this... THATS WHY THE CPTAIN IN GEARS INTRO SAID "I WILL SEND A DISPATCH AFTER EVACUATION IS COMPLETE".
Yes, but the white whale is also labeled Philadelphia class. It's a refrence to Gears, but only because it was already so in X.

Few things to note here. This is literally my first reaction so I didn't know the Saga connection was coming now things are more complicated but I still 100% believe X is connected.
Also I was too busy crying at the credits and mistook Noahs sword and Matthiews Gauntlets as other swords lmao

Its not the same project exodus as in X, its the one from Saga. Humanity spread out and there was a rebellion back on earth for control of the Zohar/Conduit and during the rebellion the planet was lost (Aka Klaus fucked up). No aliens destroying the planet.

Project Exodus basically connects both games together, even if there are people who don't like it.

Look at the True Ouroboros carefully. It looks like Elma's tandem skell Ares or Prog Ares.
It really just looked like Noah's without the horn (and other changes of course) to me. It did not remind me of any skell at all.
My favorite franchise is still The Legend of Zelda. But Xenoblade comes right after if.

@@RemasterXenobladeX both projects in X and the Klaus saga happen for different reasons though.. in the Klaus saga they were merely wanting to expand humanity to other planets, in X it was only created to save humanity after Elma warned them of the coming war.
Let's also not forget that the arks in the Klaus saga were leaving earth well before the experiment already while in X they only just started leaving as the war was taking place

I'm gonna be honest, it looks like it's gonna continue straight after Xenosaga 3's ending (KOS-MOS arriving at what seems to be Lost Jerusalem), but there is just no way Takahashi is going to drop a sequel to a 15 year old JRPG trilogy most people don't know about LOL. I mean I love Saga and would love to see it continue, but god fucking damn what I wouldn't give to see an X continuation, especially after that Project Exodus namedrop
The worst thing about all of this is that even with all the crazy lore in Xenosaga, I'm somehow still more interested about Miras secrets, the Black Knight etc. X clears I'm afraid...
They have to remake xenosaga to have the continuity line up and change "realians" to "Savorites" . I feel like X might happen way down the line in a different Arm of the milky way or something as the radio suggests.
This is not X connected unless we are about to get a BIG retcon for X, every Xeno continuity has space colonization. Xenogears, Xenosaga, X and now numbered-Xenoblade. Also the Xenosaga reference is unlikely to be an official connection and more just that that character has a Xenoblade counterpart or soft inserting Xenoblade into the Xenosaga timeline. (Dmitri is said to have been created in space after earth was sucked into the upper domain, which is why earth was incentivizing everybody to get on a colony ship and ship all of humanity off before they got sucked into the upper domain too.)
X likely takes place in the universe after Xenosaga or Xenoblade.

You do realize that the Earthlife Colonization Project and Project Exodus were in X right? They reference both X and Xenosaga.
@@Waluigi_Time Yes, but Earth blew up in X, not just got moved. It crumbled and chunks launched off in all directions.
Xenogears also implies aliens probably don't exist and Xenosaga confirms there are no aliens or evidence aliens existed in that universe.
@Waluigi yes they mentioned project Exodus, but they would really have to retcon Xenoblade X to make this connection work. There were no "Two Alien factions battling and destroying earth " when Klaus pushed the button in Xenoblade. It was battle between humans that was destroying the earth and causing Klaus to push the button. That's a huge retcon so I wonder how they would do it. On the other hand, it actually connects with Xenosaga quite well without any major retcons.
@@Jzx1103 They would need to maybe Put radamanthus in the background of earth and have it happen a few days after the "realians" (or mabye they will be retconned to be "Savorites" now? who knows.) attack because Shion summons the gnosis on earth right? (if im remembering correctly). in a remake/remaster mabye? ( might take a while cause lol xenosaga 2 sucked as a game.)
Otherwise, I find it absolutely hilarious that Jesus Christ is cannon again lol.
@Paradox NCW we'll see what Takahashi has up in his sleeves. I do know that Xenosaga was his baby, he wanted to tell the full story from perfect works but unfortunately Xenosaga didn't sell well enough and they had to end it at 3 games. Maybe with the success of Xenoblade, his madman brain finally figured out a way to tell the full story by connecting it to Xenoblade 😆

4:31 I actually believe it isnt morytha but is a city from xenosaga instead, fifth Jerusalem or something. In fact second phase Alpha look exactly like a god from xenosaga. Dimitri is also a character from xenosaga though i know nothing about him
It looks very similar to second miltia from Saga but thats prob because the same people build it after they left earth. The flashback is definitely Morytha. We even see the beginning of the space elevator where the world tree will be. Tho we have no idea what the city was actually called.
They also mention the Rhadamanthus Authority multiple times, with Rhadamanthus being the name of the world tree.
Why would you attempt to contradict what the characters are explicitly saying? Monolith would not just lie like that.
There is no connection to X though. Project Exodus is a mistranslation in X as far as i'm aware, I believe though that it is reference to Xenosaga at the very least.
No X connection, especially when there are quite a few things that make it impossible. However it is more possible for them to make Saga canon, X would need too many retcons to be canon
Project Exodus is a western localization for the event but in this cutscene the japanese version refers to the same even that it was called in Xenoblade X as well. It's the same name.

This is not Xeno X tying in, this is tying Blade to Saga. X bits are just references. There are lore videos that explain it better but there are way too many things that contradict the X connection theories. But yeah definitely time to play Saga, hopefully they remaster the trilogy and release it so people can play Saga and get ready for the future of the Xeno series.
