Another just outstanding review. You clearly put a lot of work into these videos, thank you.
Hi Martin. I've just purchased a DM70. I'm waiting for amazon to deliver it today. However, I didn't know if someone let you know the name of the plastic loop. It's correct name is a "D Ring". This of course is its name in English. Quite obviously because of the shape of the capital letter "D". Hence "O Rings" etc.. I'm sorry that I didn't get to you sooner. However, such is life. Also, a really good review. Thank you.
I like your studio setup Martin.
Very good review, video and great flashlights.

Nice review
Extremely comprehensive.
£66 right now on offer at BG until Oct 7th.. just ordered one because I so need another flashlight lol
good video i have both the DM 35 and 70 they get hot i also have the lumintop GT mini which at half the price blows them away but all good lights
GT mini blows them both away? How so? Do tell!
I recently bought the sofirn sp36... I like it a lot but, I'm not a fan of this current trend on brightness controls... You need to be a code breaker to know how to put on different modes and you have to remember what you did last time before turning the thing off. I would prefer a much simpler system. Maybe the flashlight could always turn on on low, so you don't accidentally blind anyone. And for adjusting the brightness it could just be a second button... at least for the 'sos' and other special features you need a secondary button. I just don't think it's practical to have just one button for doing a million things.
look For SP36S
Can you use a normal 21700 battery in it? It seems like good value but I don't want to buy expensive proprietary batteries.
In English it's called a D ring
Strange they made the same mistake again with having the button hard to find in the dark - exactly the biggest issue with the DN35/DN70! :(
This is true! Im thinking of epoxying a couple "fence" tabs on both sides of the button for ease of feeling the correct side.
3:17 D-ring
It’s a D ring in English my friend
Disappointing flashlight. My dn35 outshines this dm35. Imalent should have created a much better flashlight than the dn35. Instead, it made a worse one. This one only shines 450 m, at 2000 lumen vs my dn35 at 596m and 2200 lumen. Very dumb design.
I've read hundreds of comments on this make if not thousands I've come to conclusions i would rather pay more once for a different make. 🇬🇧❤️
Are these discontinued?
Can u put to test mr2 warrior against the dn70 please
Sorry - I do not own a MR2 warrior
@@MartinRathmanner_M4D_M4X ooh man you need one smallest 1500 lumen flashlight I ever owned and the best 1500 lumen flashlight I ever owned highly recommended I'm just looking for upgrade and good comparison vid thankyou so much for your reply apreachiated
@@mentalunicorn9567 i have the M2R warrior from olight its crap but the pro is much better got it a week later acebeam are the best in my opionion
@@MRGOOPY123 I got mr2 warrior it's good for my first edc just looking for something little fatter and brighter without a satalite dish attached
Why does this cost so much more than the LD70? It's only 2000 lumens. So why is it so expensive?
More expensive than the 4000 lumen flash light.
only the manufacturer knows their calculation
What is this rectangular keychain light in the right corner?
YLP scorpion
Would have been nice if the usb charger was built into the light and not the battery.
Well, maybe, but this dramatically increases its ability to stay weatherproof, and is really no trouble.
Which is better DM70,DM35 or DN70
I do not own a DN70
but from my two I would choose the DM35
Does the dm35 become really hot... too hot to hold very fast or does it take a while on turbo?
My DM70 is miles better than my DN70. Its lighter, brighter and smaller, similar UI.
@@MartinRathmanner_M4D_M4X why the DM35?
@@santiago101100 not as hot as the DM70
it's called a loop in English(3:15)
makes sense!
thanks
@@MartinRathmanner_M4D_M4X :)
@@MartinRathmanner_M4D_M4X I'd call it a D-ring
What do you think the led color temperature is on the DN70?
a bit warmer than the ODF30
do you have a XHP70 light?
I have a Klarus G20L with a XHP70.2 but find it too blue for my tastes.
i would not consider the DM70 "blue"
Do they have strobe mode?
yes
double click from turbo
Tem cupom
Edc-able?
depends on your pocket, but yes, i think they are!
Yea, it totally is. Honestly, I have a few 18650 "tactical" lights that are bigger. It pocket carries as well as a 21700 could, and I honestly dont notice my DM70, it disappears.
I like this light but it seems like they've crammed too many extra features on it that I'd have no use for. That sleeping light on the side seems like such an odd thing to to have and since it makes the switch harder to find it seems less than worthwhile to have on the light.
Would be ok if you could swap it for a nice neutral/warm of high cri diffused light, that would make for a nice camping light.
Well, honestly the extra features are well hidden. Ease of use is apparent as the initial turn on is based on mode memory, and a double click gives instant turbo, its very intuitive. If you choose to use the other features, you have to look at the manual for UI to access them, but honestly, I love that nightlight feature. Sleeping at the fire station, it really helps dimly and unobtrusively barely illuminate my radio, keys and glasses. I didnt think it would have value, but I actually use it all the time at work.
