    Having a picture of the flashlight with it's corresponding beamshot is a great idea. It helped a lot with my understanding of the product. Having the light's name would also be a plus.

    It helps a fair bit being able to see the light on-screen when you do the beam shots, it helps you focus on the vid as well instead of trying to remember which light was what model number.

    Hi Matt! I like the idea of adding a picture of the light, as well as adding the name written beside the picture. One of the things that I am looking for in flashlight reviews that I usually don't find easily available is the brightest sustained mode (that doesn't thermal throttle). I don't really care how many lumens a light puts out if that number is going to decrease within the first few minutes of use. I would really appreciate it if that were a metric added to your already fantastic reviews! Thanks!

  •  4 роки тому

    YES the photos help, but you need to keep the name caption up there too.
    What to do in 2 simple steps...
    1. Show a full screen shot of the flashlight for a few seconds, right as you say the name while you're introducing the model in the narration.
    2. Show the model name caption at the bottom of the screen and keep it there the whole time that model is being demonstrated.
    This is a concise and easy way to make it clear which flashlight is which in terms of performance.
    Thanks for the reviews, and... Good lux!

    Yes a picture and price in the corner with specs would be a great help! I have recently become a flashlight enthusiast, and would like to see a video of the best budget throwers with high candela! Or even one for pricier throwers would be nice. I current have a $150 Olight Seeker 2 pro, and a Convoy M3 $38, and actually like my convoy a lot more! Have had tons of imalent lights and all of them are amazing except the water resistance is bs.. They leak in the glass and buttons. They do survive of its sweetwater but any salt water is going to ruin them.
    Got
    9x hr70 (3 broken by salt water not submerged)
    4x dt70 (1 broke by salt water, charging port broken on 1)
    1x dt35 (broke water)
    2x rt 70 (both broke rusted under the button by having salt water on ur fingers)

    Nice review Matt. I'm not a fan of that long battery or spinning rattling switch. 21700s are long enough as it is, not fitting most good chargers is not good. I would only use USB charging in a pinch. My Acebeam T27 has USB-C charging built into the flashlight and a normal sized 21700. I think that's a better smarter use of that large battery cell. Also My friend has a couple of Imalent, the DN35 and RT35 and they both under-perform. Similar to the lumen measurement you got always a couple hundred less lumens than claimed. I also dont like the strobe is so deep into the groups, imagine trying to tell the animal or criminal to wait a second while you double tap to turbo and double tap again to strobe, lots to go wrong fumbling around in a pressure situation. No moonlight mode sucks which the DN series lacks also. For the price I'm staying away, I'm sticking with Acebeam as it outperforms rather than underperforms.

    • @mannixjohnson597
      @mannixjohnson597 5 років тому

      *If you like the W30, you might at least consider the possibility that before too long, it would seem rather likely that someone will point one at a plane or something as serious -- and the result could be -- one day -- some sort of restrictions or regulations on them. About 2 years is my estimate until we hear some sort of disturbing media report about the misuse of an LEP light. Maybe less than 2 years. No decent flashlight enthusiast would do such a thing, but someone of another ilk certainly will. When it does happen, the media will probably NOT name the Acebeam in their report, I would hope. But they'll call the technology "an imminent danger to the public." I can hear it now...*

    • @Manic97LP
      @Manic97LP 5 років тому +1

      Mannix Johnson I recommend the Acebeam W10 anyways. The W30 has a too much „laser-like“ beam. On distances under 500 meters, it is so bright that you even can’t see at what you are shining with your flashlight. The W10 has a beam with a higher diameter and is much more useful. And also not a danger for airplanes due to its beam distance of only 1000 meters.

Most are way out of budget for me and, most likely for a lot of other viewers looking for good light source. Can you cut through all the bull and tell us what is the best LED lights from head lights to hand held lights that are cheap and long lasting? Also, you really don't get into how long the batteries really last under full load. Can you also tell us who makes the best batteries at the cheapest price and where to buy? Could you say if it would be better to make your own light source? If so, where would you buy all the parts needed for the build including plastic or glass lenses or light amplifiers? I would like for you to do a show over UVC, UV and INFERRED lighting. Is this possible for you too do? Thank you mate. 'I do enjoy your video's.

      A rock solid low cost good quality all around light in my opinion is Convoy S2+ . On full power you will get a little over an hour run time if you use 3500ma cell. Shop at lillumn.com or mtnelectronics.com for batteries. 100% of the batteries they sell are genuine. If you go with the S2+ because the current load is only 3000ma basically good quality 18650 is fine to use in that light. The S2+ also has low voltage protection so you could use an unprotected cell if you want. It will fit most protected cells if you dont want.

      It's illumn.comThere is not really any "best" light. There are many lights for many needs. It might be best to go to a forum like BLF.com and look around.

    Yes it helps,also does the high lumen decrease throw a little or is it just the reflector?
    Or is it just a blinding effect of the flood?

    • @Lumencraft-
      @Lumencraft-  5 років тому +1

      Yes the XHP35 HI has 500kcd beam distance while the XHP70.2 has a 235kcd beam distance.

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 5 років тому

      The DM70 uses a very big led. This is why it's so bright, but a big led is hard to focus into a narrow beam. That is why it does not travel as far a distance. Everything has tradeoffs.

    I want the picture or the title of the light to stay on for the duration the light is used. I know frame fiting is tough but you know.

    RE: YOUR 21700 BATTERY TOO LARGE FOR YOUR CHARGER
    To hold and charge 21700 batteries using regular 18650 sized charger, I'm thinking an 18650 sized piece of wood would be inserted into charge slot with bent metal strips extending from the positive and negative end which would hold and charge the 21700. Reckon that'd work?

    I have a question.
    How can this light not give out more than a 5 hour 50 minute runtime at 300 lumens with a 5,000 mAh battery? I ask this because the new Olight Seeker 2 does 300 lumens for 13 hours! Are three Osram LEDs that much more efficient than one Cree XHP70.2?
    On another note, the Thrunite TC20 has a legit 10 hour runtime at its medium 300 lumen setting. I only bring this up because the cell included with the Thrunite is 5,000 mAh despite being a 26650. So, what is the deal with the efficiency of these 1 x 21700 lights in the lower modes?
