What a great way for all spine surgeons to educate patients without taking important office time -- this should be a viewing product that any spine surgeon could offer to their patients to back-fill the office visit once a diagnosis is made. If I were still in business, I would be trying to get this video out to all the doctors and patients! Amazing job and incredible camera presence by Dr. Donnally!
I have Congenital Lumbar Spinal Stenosis at L4 - L5 and I've had 7 epidurals since March 2023. My pain management doctor mentioned the Vertiflex and I got hope to be pain-free, but on my next appt. with him, he told me that he showed my MRI to a couple of surgeons and they stated that they would not do the procedure because of the Congenital Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. Of course I was saddened, but on my next visit he mentioned the MILD procedure, but because of the retired military insurance I have they don't approve it. Sadly Medicare does approve it, but I'm 5 years away from that. My next option is open surgery and I really wanted to avoid that, but the pain isn't going away. What would the next option be and is it minimally invasive? I greatly appreciate your knowledge with this matter...
@DonnallySpineConsult Thank you, and I will ask my pain management doctor for a referral to a spine surgeon. I greatly appreciate your response, and if you have any suggestions on what procedure I should be looking for, I welcome your knowledge always.
Hello! Happy to answer, but not excited about typing several paragraphs so just call the office and make an appointment if that’s the surgery I indicate you for, if any, I’ll be happy to tell
Just wondering.g have been waiting a number of years for micro disectomy on lumbar left hand side now have pain on right side which is sometimes causing it a struggle to sit down right would this be another disc hernation causing this now on right side. Thanks
@DonnallySpineConsult sorry just trying to get to see the person who is dealing with me to try and ask him about this but was wondering would they be able to do a microdesectomy on both sides and would it be longer healing time. Thanks
Had a lamenectomy from t8 to the pelvic floor. Screws have come loose in a couple places but my complaint is I have pain and numbness in my lower legs that comes from my lower back and it has caused me to hardly be able to walk. Pain in my right butt cheek that causes muscle cramps and spasms that cause horrible pain. Pain stimulator installed that doesn’t help it at all. Five surgeries so far and I am having more pain than before first one. Any suggestions to run down cause of pain?

No don’t do that. I really think you should find a spine surgeon IF you are considering surgery, not a non spine surgeon
