What month did you go? I'm going end of May-June and people say the humidity is unbearable :( my trip is 5 weeks and I've been hearing people get sick of the trip after a few weeks, worried about that. Did you do the pasta making excursion in Rome? Also, did you buy a Europe SIM card there for data or did you use your US SIM? I love your videos btw, can't wait for more to be posted.
Hi, thanks for the feedback!! We went in July for 4 weeks. It was one of the hottest summers on record for all of the cities we visited, there was also a record with the rainfall in Paris which caused a lot of flooding. Fortunately, we left the morning of all the major flooding. I was drenched in sweat almost the entire trip, except for Switzerland which was actually a bit chilly, Amsterdam, and Spain which was dry heat. Around the 3rd week we started to get a bit homesick and I kind of felt like I needed a break from traveling, however, I took sometime to just sleep and relax at the hostels which made me feel better. But a lot of people do say they get home sick close to the end. I did not do the pasta making excursion, however, from what I heard from people in our group, they loved it! And said it was totally worth it. We did he wine tasting, which was really good too, except that I was sick during the entire trip! So I had to keep getting up from the table to go outside for air because I had a fever and non stop cough. I have T mobile which works almost anywhere. Literally. Free data, free text and about .25$ a min for calls back home. I was able to browse the web and use GPS throughout the whole trip. WiFi is a bit hard to get in Europe for free, unless you’re at a restaurant or hotel/hostel. Hope this helps! Please be sure to subscribe, like and share :) P.S take medicine! Advil, cough, cold, NyQuil, day quil etc... I had a really hard time finding medicine. Most pharmacies require doctors note, or pharmacies aren’t open everyday, or not in every corner etc... stores and gas stations also don’t carry over the counter stuff like the states
Sad to hear you were sick the whole trip, but glad you were still able to have fun. Oh! I'll have to check T-mobile out then, thanks! Thanks for the tips!
I should have 2-3 more videos posted by the end of this week :). I used a slim tech all in one adapter. It worked everywhere, used it to charge my phone, gimbal, and MacBook
Most likely will be overnight, because the flights are between 9-11 hours depending on which city you land in. My guess is youll land either in London or somewhere in spain
Omg I wish I could go for like 30 days but sadly only 8 days and are the charges phone abd tsbke etc différent ? Do I need to pay for tht ? And do I also have to tip everyday ?
I used T-Mobile, the text and data was free unlimited and most calls in most cities across Europe were under .20 cents per minute. The rates vary between carriers, and as far as tipping goes, you don’t have to tip the tour guide everyday its recommended to wait until the farewell dinner. I gave about 140€ for the month and some people gave 50, some gave 200, others gave nothing. It all depends on what you feel the tour guide deserved or what you could afford
Quick question when you first arrived to London was their a person waiting for you at the exit of the terminal ? And did they keep communication with you during the stops the plane had to do.
+Michelle Mendoza yes! Once you go through customs, collect your bags, there will be a driver waiting for you and any other group members that arrive within the same time frame. They will be holding a sign that says “EF college break”. About a week or two prior to departure you will get an itinerary, and a what’s app group to join in which you’ll receive any updates. There is also a Facebook group that you can join and get updates and of course you will receive email confirmation about flight details, delays, layovers and who you will be flying with that’s in your group. The entire process is pretty seamless and we didn’t really have to do much. Just a heads up, don’t take photos while you’re in customs, I got in trouble for doing so :/. Please be sure to like and share if you thought this video was helpful :)
Nice video Los Fizz! Looks like you had an amazing time on this trip. We think other travelers would appreciate your thoughts on EF College Break. We’re a reviews site for tours and trips like this one. Would you like to leave a review on our site?
+Milagros Guerra hi, thanks for watching :) be sure to like, and share. subscribe for the upcoming videos. I went with my GF and her best friend. It was an amazing trip, it was definitely worth it. It’s something I highly recommend to anyone and everyone if they’re between the age limit that EF allows. I will be writing a full detailed blog post about my entire trip on my blog website at losfizz.com within the next week or so. But just a brief overview, the experiences were amazing, 30 Days is a bit too long, after about the 3rd week I was ready to come back lol. A bit of advice, do not feed into the media and television/movie representation of these cities. Yes they are fascinating but they are not 100% what you see in movies. There are alotttt Of tourists, it might be slower for you in December. If it is, I envy you. Do not plan too much, EF has an itinerary that may affect your personal plans on your free days and is subject to change at any given time. Because of that, do your research on things you would want to do and see and plan according to what your EF guide has set up for your group for any given day. Pack lightly!, bring comfortable shoes, and get into the habit of walking a lot! I wish I could do it all over again, EF made everything almost seamless, and worry free.
