@@chilipalmer6974 There is no English government, it doesn't exist, there is a UK government, England is not a nation state. The political union in 1707 was between Scotland & England, forming the UK of Great Britain (including Wales) & Northern Ireland is the current set up. Scotland, England & Wales still maintain their separate identity as nations within the political union. Scotland kept its separate institutions after union, ancient law, separate education, separate Church, the reformed Church of Scotland which is Presbyterian. That & many other separate cultural institutions, we were not conquered or oppressed by England, unlike the Irish & to an extent Wales. Greetings to you, my Arab brother, from the heart of Persia/Iran. To be honest, I didn't expect an Arab to be the one to mentoring these truths, which is refreshing to see. Often, Arabs usually reluctantly accept such facts let alone bringig them to intention of others, but they know Persian are blessed since even Islam's Prophet Muhammad praised Persian intellect, stating that if knowledge were at an unreachable place, it would be Persians who would attain it. Although I am an atheist myself, I must admit he had extraordinary foresight, especially considering that Persians were non-Muslim at the time, proving he was unbiased toward non-Muslims.
Moreover, the fact that the father of all four major branches of science, whose statues are in the UN Headquarters in Vienna's Scholars Pavilion, were Persians. The graduation outfit is a tribute to Avicenna, who invented the university and modern medical practice. His book was the primary source of knowledge and reference for European universities until the late 19th century and is still studied today. Most medical practices used by doctors, especially in diagnosing diseases, can be traced back to his work. This is particularly notable when considering that during that period, Europeans were burning women as witches and persecuting Jews, believing their actions angered God and caused illness for tolerating Jews.

@@mansari7310 Thanks for the nice words. I think most Arabs are aware of the important role of Persians in the field of science and medicine even though they may not say it, but I never met an Arab who denies it. I think it was imam Shafae who said “if science has a crown it would be on the head of a man from Persia”. The problem with the Arabs nowadays they are brainwashed to be sectarians. Muslim brotherhood, Salafis and other radical groups are in charge of the Arabs’ minds, it’s disgusting. I agree with you about Avicenna, he was a pioneer and deserves all respect, I am proud to say that a copy of his medical book ‘alkanoon’ sits on a top shelf in my library. Greetings and best wishes to you and the great people of Iran.

A leading economist said in May that at least half of Iran lives below the poverty line as the government fails to solve the economic crisis, and a report by the parliament’s research center released in July said the population below the absolute poverty line increased by 30.4% in 2021.
Pirhadi, the deputy head of the parliamentary committee for Iran’s Seventh National Development Plan, stated that the economic decline in the past decade has led to social decline and a rise in financial corruption, drug abuse, and increased migration to large cities.
Over the past decades, there have been several factors hindering Iran's economic development. The revolutionary chaos of the early 1980s, and the Iran-Iraq war that caused hundreds of thousands of casualties, derailed Iran from its modernization trajectory. The Islamic government, built on an anti-Western ideology that engaged in hostage taking and supporting militant groups left the country isolated. And in addition, the inefficiency of successive clerical governments and many years of international sanctions crippled the country's economy.
The remarks by Pirhadi came a few days before the latest report by Iran's Statistics Center -- whose director was sacked by the president earlier in July. Although Iran's Statistics Center is administered and funded by the government and operates under the umbrella of the Planning and Budget Organization, it maintained a veneer of credibility as one of the very scarce sources of both economic and social data.
The Islamic Republic's authorities are trying to use new definitions and indices for the inflation so that the official figures do not increase to numbers that can create panic in the market. The country’s economy has proven especially vulnerable to sociopolitical developments, such as rumors about a possible revival of the nuclear deal or large labor strikes.

I loved the video! Thank you! I hate the current demonizing of Iran and it seems from the comments that your video went a long way to debunk that tendency. I wouldn’t say Farsi and Arabic are similar, however, even though you go on to explain that they belong to different languages language families. Farsi, which I don’t speak but can recognise, is a beautiful, soft singsong language which I could listen to forever. In my youth some 50 years ago, I taught English to some very wonderful Iranians (who in those pre-revolutionary days, called themselves Persians), who were thoughtful, sensitive, aware people. Alas, I never visited, due to lack of funds (and maybe courage - I had a very tentative sense of identity and might have lost myself there). Your video had everything but the smells, which I missed, particularly in the Grand Bazaar, but I forgive you for that. Modern technology has a long way to go! Thank you again. I have subscribed and will watch more.

Iraq is not comparable to Iran not in architecture and advancement not visually culturally or ethnically which is no surprise since they were either being brutalized by US backed Saddam who force them to attack Iran and then Kuwait and after that US attack them, so they are given very bad hand
Arabs are little bit intense although very hospitable people but if I being completely honest i don't feel safe around them in the other hand Persians are very calm and polite and well mannered, although i must also admit i may be being unintentionally raciest and biased since I see Persian look like me that tel my brain to make me feel safe around Persians but feel unsafe but around arabs it could be racism or evolutions that want me to be alerts among outsider but think more likely c Class prejudice because Persian are stylish and good looking very clean while Arabs wear traditional Arabic closing

@RightyAllrighty the US backed Iraq ( Saddam's Iraq no less) in their long drawn out border war with Iran. The Iraqis infamously used poison gas. There was international condemnation.
Iran suffered huge enough deaths of soldiers in this long war that there was a shortage of marriageable men.
Perhaps you are of a much later generation and have no knowledge of this.
The last wars in Iraq and Syria were caused by reckless US conduct.
One of the biggest being ISIS..one of so much mystery the Western intelligence agency claims they don't know how ISIS rose..and even attacked Iran's parliament.
Syria was overrun by ISIS ..how convenient. What was inconvenient was Bashir didn't fall tho most of the country was devastated.
Irony is, the chaos of Syria allowed ISIS to arrive at Israel's doorsteps.
At every step going back decades you will find USA's fingerprints in the chaos, deaths, and misery.
No doubt Bashir, Ayatollahs nor Saddam are/were not saints. But neither is the US, and neither is Russia.
And remember, one of the USA's Presidential candidate talks civil war if he does not win at upcoming elections, the same one when he was a sitting President allowed and even encouraged the sacking of the Capitol. The seat of USA's democracy.
      An act of war.

As a European who has travelled extensively across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Iran, I can confidently say that Iran stands out in many remarkable ways. It is exceptionally clean, peaceful, organised, beautiful, and notably safe. When it comes to these qualities, it surpasses anywhere I have encountered in Europe or America. The level of civility and hospitality found in Iran truly makes it a unique and noteworthy destination.
The people of Iran are genuinely amazing and incredibly friendly. It is truly unfortunate that many Americans and Europeans may never have the chance to experience this beautiful country for themselves. Instead, their perception is often shaped solely by the narratives and propaganda presented in their media, which fails to reflect the true warmth and culture of Iran.

A lot of misinformation about Iran stems from America's position on Iran and the 1979 revolution. A lot of people forgot that America was the reason for the 1979 revolution. As a kid I thought Iran was backward desert country with warlike religious extremists. But as I grew up and watched Iranian movies and met Iranian people I found out how wrong I was. Iran is on par with many Western European nations if not better. Iran would have progressed much more if it weren't for the unfair sanctions against it. Long live Iran!🇮🇷❤️

Unfortunately when the Islamic Republic regime in Iran took power in the 70s it totally changed. Once progressive it’s now under sharia law. They lynched over 800 innocent civilians last year. Lots of torture. Eye gouging. Poverty. The people and cities are GORGEOUS it isn’t their fault. I’m Persian so I hear it all straight from the people it’s bad 😢

Are you suggesting the religious extremists who run the country aren't actually extreme? They most certainly are, and the vast majority of the iranian people hate their government.

I used to live there during Shah Pahlavi's reign. It's much more modern now. When I was there, there were no subways. The Peykan was the most prolific vehicle on Tehran streets. I remember, we went to the Grand Bazzar and my late mother had bought 2 samovars and a beautiful Persian rug...which I still have to this day.
