*Jay, the wood grain of Brazilian Rosewood is PHENOMENAL - it is the prettiest and most "stop you in your tracks"👣piece of furniture I have EVER SEEN, JAY❣️🙉🥰💯❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ You completed a WORK OF ART 🎨 that I hope you keep for your own enjoyment. CHEERS‼️🤎*
Oh wow 😂 that’s some comment 🥰 so kind of you. Thank you 🙏
@@Flippingdrawers *My pleasure, Jay; you deserve ALL of the accolades you are receiving‼️💯🤎*
So beautiful 😍 🤩 your garden us looking great too.
Absolutely right. That is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen on the Internet.
@@markphillips6154 *Undoubtedly TRUE‼️💯😍🤎*
Where are my fellow "eye-ron" enjoyers? ❤
So eyeronic😎
My sister and brother say it like this, too.
All Europeans who learn English as a second language say that because I-ERN is not a phonetic combination in many languages. It’s always bugged me because I work very hard to learn proper pronunciation in other languages it’s interesting that others enjoy the sound.
I wonder what the polish word is for eye-Ron…..
I'm here 👋
Yes, I like the way you say ”iron.” Wow, the final dresser looks like Mando!
Yes , the dresser and Mando are so similar. It is a beautiful restoration!
😀Non native English speakers rarely know that the ”r” in iron is silent. It's just another one of those things in life that doesn’t make any sense. The end result of this piece of furniture is stunningly beautiful and the old legs fit perfectly!
Wow what a beautiful piece of furniture it turned out to be! I love the knobs they make it look like an old radio or amplifier!
These knobs and legs are perfection. A delight . Thank you for your teaching and calm.
The chest of drawers is amazing. I would love to keep my vintage jewellery collection in it.
Also, Mando is possibly the most beautiful cat I’ve ever seen! 🐱
I wonder if one of his parents was an actual wild cat because he looks like a bengal mix
I’ve never seen a domestic cat like him. He’s a beauty. 😍
That’s exactly what I was thinking re jewellery. And yes Mando is one stunning cat. I would love to see a video of his antics.
The cat was a great supervisor, because that turned out breathtaking.
I love the way he pointed out that it was too tall.
I admit, I started watching for the excellent furniture restorations, but now I just watch Mando.
Never. Too. Much. Grain.
Never.
The veneer is stunning. Beautiful job!!
This project had such a wow factor when you were finished! Breathtaking actually! For the record, I love how you say everything. Your accent is very nice and you are so easy to listen to.
Thank you so much! That’s very kind
You have outdone yourself. Absolutely magnificent. Mando's help was obviously valuable.
Hello beautiful people 🙂 thanks for joining and see you in a bit 💛
Ha ha 💪🏻🤩
Your work is outstanding, as always! The veneer you chose seems so appropriate for this piece. This would be a great piece for a quilter or artist. Those little cubbies would be ideal for all the fancy pieces of trim or other doodads we tend to keep! Socks would be good, too. Plenty of room! Thank you!
Your gorgeous Brazilian rosewood gentleman's case matches your gorgeous cat. You've got to keep it now. You can keep Mando's treats in a couple of the dividers
I really like your unusual cat. What kind is he?
I believe it's called a Bengal.@@bettybenner2392
Beautiful work as always! And let me just say, Mando needs his own YT channel! He’s so fun and full of energy. Very entertaining to watch.
“Because I’m fancy AF” 😄😄😄
The beauty of today s video is not that you have restored a trashed piece of furniture but also innovativly transformed into something practical and chic. And as always the restoration process is flawless. I appreciate the fact that u pulled out the partitions to sand them up to give a clean look. Great Job Jay!!
Wow Jay! You sure have a great sense of style. That chest of drawers looks like a completely different piece! You said you can't paint or draw, but your skills for disguising repairs are equally beautiful as art!
Right choice on the legs! Beautifully finished🎉
That chest of drawers is finally living it's best life!! WOW!
That chest of drawers is STUNNING! I can't believe it was used for shop storage before you got it. The transformation is off the charts!
Thanks to Hugo and Mando for being very special supervisors on this project!! ❤❤
Love the way you did the "waterfall" grain on the sides and top of the dresser. This is a very strong and masculine looking piece; especially the hardware. Really pretty and it matches your cat!
It sure does!!!
Tremendous job! Rosewood is beautiful! Hardware is perfect! BRAVO! 👍👏❤😍🥰
Wow! That Brazilian Rosewood veneer is so stunning! That wonderful waterfall effect without the curved corners turned out great. The two-toned handles are beautiful with great texture. And Mondo is still as so beautiful. I love that the two cats get along great too. An overall very bold and elegant piece. Thank you for another great video. You also made me laugh out loud too - "iRon" and "they are all turned in the same direction, you're welcome"! Keep up the great work and may God bless you!
I can't fall asleep watching your video's😊to interesting and also need to see your precious🐾assistants🐾
Hah! Mando could stand next to that veneer and he'd be invisible! I do love the look - the wood grain / dark colour and the choice of legs gives it a 1970s 'Executive' look, which I really like - almost like an Eames chair.
That business with the screws all turned the same way is just the sign of a professional!
The old chest began it's life as a tree. Then it was cut down and became raw lumber. Then it became a mediocre chest. Then over time it became a crappy old junky chest. Then Jay's mastery was applied. Thus, it was reborn as a magnificent chest. Zen recycling--by adding love and magic. Really beautiful work!
There is no such thing as too much wood grain.
I am happy to know there are others who are compelled to line up the screw slots in the same direction.
This is one of my favorite projects I've watched you make. 😢 Beautiful. Five 🌟
What a beautiful piece of furniture. And I thought the legs were an excellent touch. 😎
Utterly beautiful wood grain, marvellous makeover, stunning leg choice
Incredible workmanship! The veneer is beautiful and really gives the piece a sense of luxury. The legs are a perfect fit. Your sense of humor is refreshing and so is Mando.
I love it. The grain is beautiful. Yes, I love the legs and draw pulls. Great job Jay. Joyce❤️🙏🇺🇸
Awesome 🤩 thanks
You transformed it into an elegant piece. Lovely!!!
That drawer opening 😂 please can mondo have his own shorts channel??❤😂
Very nicely done. I love Brazilian Rosewood. It has a beautiful grain. The minute I saw the drawers with dividers I thought jewellery. I have a walk in closet with a custom interior. There’s a built in dresser and the top three drawers are for jewellery. They are all divided like this drawer is and lined in velvet. I really like it. Whomever gets this dresser will be really lucky.
Mando is so cute and funny 🙂.And so are you, very entertaining - I'm actually laughing out load about the "iron"!!! Wow, just finished the video - your work is absolutely amazing - bravo !!!
I used empty egg crates in my bureau drawer for my jewelry. I would have loved to have something like this.
Egg crates is not a bad idea, though/
I'll bet Jay could make your egg crates look like art! 😊
😂
lol, that’s creative 👌
Of all your restoration items, this piece of furniture is by far my favorite. The furniture was very solidly built and you made the right decision to veneer it. I also think it's great that you kept the layout in the top drawers. Now it looks like high-quality, timeless CB2 or RH furniture. If you sell it, you can charge a high price because it not only looks fantastic, but is made entirely of solid wood, which is not a given even for high-end furniture. All I can say is "great"...
Wow, thank you!
It's beautiful Jay. Very masculine. The grain makes it very rich and is a real statement of wood love. ❤
Mando takes his job seriously. Great Job 👏👏👏
WOW! Beautiful craftsmanship. I love the woodgrain and the hardware adds a beautiful touch. As always, I love when Mando and Hugo make their appearance. Wish I could reach through the screen to pet them.
I love the wood grain! It’s a beautiful cabinet. I have so much jewelry, I would have left the dividers in all the drawers and put velvet in all the bottoms and made a jewelry cabinet that would finally hold all my jewelry! But few people have so much and most wouldn’t need any more than the one drawer. It was a good choice to make most of it for clothes.❤️🤗🐝
It's nice to see a person go above and beyond to restore a piece of furniture that brings the level of restoration to the next level. I love your workl.
That is gorgeous! Who ever gets it will be very lucky! Love the Cats.
Love the legs, I happen to appreciate grain. The drawer knobs work great. Another piece of art from you.
I think this piece of furniture would be perfect for a gentleman who works in tie and has a lot of them. The first drawer is perfect for that. Plus, the end result is absolutely beautiful!
Jay love your cat Mando , he looks at you working hard on your furniture repair work.
Only you can do it❤
.YAY New Project beautiful as always
Mando is the most beautiful cat I have ever seen! 😻
I Love watching you bring old pieces back to greatness, and be even better than before!
Thank you very much!
Jay, you were in rare form in this vid... you had me laughing through the whole darn thing! 🤣😂 Oh and the dresser turned out beautifully!
😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love everything you do! Today I almost finished watching all of your videos, I'm super happy and you're the best flipper I've ever seen! Thank you!!!
So cool 🤩 skip the old ones 😂😂😂
@@FlippingdrawersNo! Don’t! It has been a wonderful journey for all of us to watch your talent develop. This is what persistence & perseverance can do for a person! Jay’s truly transformed into a professional furniture restoration expert!!
That wood is so pretty! No such thing as too much wood grain! ☺☺❤❤
Holy cow! That is amazing! “Can we talk about the grain?” yes, yes, we can! That green is absolutely gorgeous. You did wonderful as usual! Love it!❤😊 ❤
The dividers are perfect for anyone who folds their clothes "Marie Kondo- style". And the wood grain matches Mando! Gorgeous.
This piece is really gorgeus. Bravo!
Too good Jay - Love the grain, the feet and the handles. "Using my hand to spread the glue, because I'm a professional" - this is gold, it needs to be on a t-shirt ;) Awesome work mate!
When we lived in Papua New Guinea in the 1970's I made a solid wood table out of 2x6 lumber. It was a native wood species that they called New Guinea walnut. It has a similar wood grain to your piece .and we brought it back to America when we moved. The table is 3x5 feet and solid wood.
Everything about your projects always amaze me. Beautiful craftsmanship and added hardware and legs.
“So I took some regular wood glue and applied it with my hand, because I’m a professional” - as a fellow professional, this spoke to me deeply 😂
Absolutely outstanding transformation, that veneer is to die for! 🤩
Absolutely gorgeous, Jay! I can just imagine how happy the people are who end up owning the pieces that you restore. I'm so jealous of them, LOL
I love the choice of legs for this piece. They are elegantly beautiful without being up in your face screaming 'LOOK AT ME!!!!' Very nicely done! 👍👍👍👍👍😁💜
A man who has mad skills AND loves his cat……I’m in love 😻 LOL!
The legs are perfect and the piece is outstanding.
Looks like you required a lot of 'supervision'. LOL Hopefully Mando grows up to be as good of a supervisor as Hugo. The cabinet looks great.
This would make a good sewing cabinet, craft cabinet, Lego hobby cabinet, model train parts cabinet, model car cabinet, etc. 😉 Terrific job!
I love the veneer. It’s gorgeous. Wonderful work. I enjoy watching you.
Not only is everything amazing when you are done, but you do such fine detail work to make it extra special. Your neighbors have such gorgeous cats!
No words. Just staring with mouth open 😮
The dresser turned out very nice. The veneer is spectacular. Lol, I loved when Mando and his friend were hanging out and it was like 2 kids and you were the dad and you asked them if they wanted a snack, hahaha. Too cute 🥰😽🐱💓💖❤️
You are just amazing. I never miss one of your videos. I am 75 yrs oldand am a greatgrandmother
Hello GG. I’m 71 next week and I’m a Grandmother, (only one G). Ain’t he the best!?!!! And I adore Mando❤️🐈 My favourite channel of all. And he has a cute sense of humour! I love to laugh. It’s the best thing you can do for your well-being. Just don’t laugh at people who don’t want to be laughed at! That can be BAD for your health! Cheers from Yvonne in Melbourne, Australia❤️🦘🇦🇺
That veneer reminds me of Mondo's fur pattern. Beautiful! No, there is never ever TOO much wood grain; it's the individual structure of the wood's individual beauty. Again, you have made my day so much better with your fantastic take on highlighting the beauty hidden within things that are not beautiful. Thank you!
OMG - Mando is GORGEOUS!!
What a phenomenal, arresting piece!!! Your use of the veneer is so unique, anyone would immediately see this is definitely one-of-a-kind. Your decision to cut off the "cabinet" and selection of legs and hardware really made the piece. ("Management" seemed to be especially interested in this project. They appreciate your skills too.)
17:18 "I present to you... the official woodworking technique.. The thrust!"
You've done it again ! Another masterpiece by the best restorer on UA-cam.
The chest of drawers matches Mando's color quite well.😽😸
I have something similar, 2 countertop height cabinets with multiple shallow divided drawers as well as larger ones. My father, an electrician, used them in his workshop for decades and said they had come from an old pharmacy. One feature is a pull-out milk glass shelf used for counting out pills. I'm planning to use them in my kitchen with a sink in between and stone tops.
Ohhh my goodness 😮 it’s really amazing, it’s a master piece!!! You’re a really magicien 🎆♥️🤩👏🏼
That veneer is really something. Your bold choice paid off. Congrats on the confident application.
"If you still watching and haven't fallen asleep - you're awesome."
Me, constantly watching videos before going to bed, 'cause it's so relaxing and interesting: 🗿🗿🗿
Tnx, I guess?))
That's was a very beautiful one, thank you for you phenomenal work ❤
Jay, The chest of drawers turned out so gorgeous with that rosewood veneer. It is stunning and so is Mando.
Jay this literally took my breath away. Can there be too much wood grain….No! This is spectacular. Nothing else needs to said.
Oh my god that veneer. And the hardware. And the legs. F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. Such a transformation. Well done.
Stupendous! You do such wonderful work on every piece. God bless you and all you do! Those legs were perfect for this dresser. My suggested price for this would be $50 HIGHER than the highest suggestion.
They say that once your hobby becomes your job it's no longer fun - but I sure hope you're having fun, because your work is stunning! I would buy your work, and I hope you consider a shop someday.
The legs are perfect for the piece. The grain of the veneer is beautiful! What an amazing renovation!
Mrs. Burcham commenting-That is a breathtakingly gorgeous piece of furniture. I love it!
Besides loving I-ron, I applaud that Jay turns all the screws the same way.
Beautiful work! You really made something that looks hopeless come to life!
I love little cubbies like in those drawers. Mando is such a ball of sneaky and nosey 🐈
Amazing transformation as always. Mando and Milo stole the video again, they look like really great work mates 🤣
What an amazing transformation , stunning result and that wood grain is delicious , well done! Also good choice on the legs, looks fantastic! 😊
LMFAO you said "because I am fancy AF..."and I had to rewind just to be sure I heard you correctly. Love your videos!
One more thing people need to understand. You are the artist working the canvas given to you. Keep up the hard work
I appreciate that
Love, love, love the veneer! You give me hope because I can't do art either and your pieces always turn out beautiful!
Wow! Mondo’s gorgeous patterns can’t compete with this Brazilian Rosewood grain 🐈
Wow!!! What a great job!!! Congratulations!!!👏💙
That grain is insane!!! Love it! Also...your management is amazing! I love watching what you come up with on every project. So much talent!
The grain on the wood is beyond gorgeous! Excellent job!
Wow...that's all I've got...just Wow.
The chest looks great, Mondo & Dad, too!!!
I love a loud wood grain, so I highly approve! And I’m glad you kept the dividers in the top drawer, for the usefulness and as a nod to its original use.
The result is stunning. Beautiful work. Give Mandi a pet for me.
