    That looked like quite a chore. I'm glad you told us how long it took you. I applaud your determination to take care of your belongings. Young people these days seem to be challenged with that concept. I am studying Ninja Speedi videos to help me decide if I want one. Others always talk about recipes, but you addressed something equally important (if not more so). This is truly a service to all of us. Thank you so much.

    Hopefully the next version allows you to remove the heating element on the top. That would make cleaning 10000x easier. Great tips ty.

      Now Donna that makes perfect sense. Maybe Ninja might take hint and do that, but then we wouldn’t buy a new one. Most of the time we buy a different one is because we can’t get the thing clean 😒😉😉

    I just did something similar and a piece of cheese i was attempting to melt got on the coil but i cant turn it on without smoke filling the room.
    Was it not smoking when you had the water in there?

    • @StephaniesKitchen
      @StephaniesKitchen  Рік тому

      No, mine didn’t smoke when I turned it back on with the soapy water. Wow, cheese can be hard to get off. Before I throw it out, I would go old school and try something like Brillo on the coil. It might get the cheese off and then use the soapy water and stem it. I hope it helps

      The best I could with a sponge or a towel. I even tried to use something like a fork with a towel on it to reach the back.

      @@StephaniesKitchen My daughter gifted mine to me for Mother’s Day and u feel awful about staining it. I’m disabled with an incomplete spinal cord injury in my neck. Applaud your effort fortunately there are magnetic guards you can purchase now for the speedi. Personally think there were a few design flaws with this model including the awful air fryer non stick tray, does a great job with the cooking but removal and placement are terrible.

    You might want to try that by adding some VINEGAR to the water... it will steam and clean the inside like new in minutes...

  • @virginiavoigt2418
    @virginiavoigt2418 Рік тому +2

    Knowing next to nothing about the Ninja Speedi, this might be an unworkable idea but . . . . . . What if, after applying the Dawn and scrubbing it down, you sprayed it with water from a spray bottle. Might it act a little like a miniature garden hose if you were, say, washing off your sidewalk? The cooking element does appear to tolerate water well since steaming is a programmable function. I would love some feedback on this since I am lazier than you (by far) but would like to achieve the same result.

    • @StephaniesKitchen
      @StephaniesKitchen  Рік тому

      Hi Virginia
      I wouldn’t spray it as hard as you would to clean the sidewalk but it does steam well, so maybe that could work. You definitely can’t overfill it or you’ll have the problem I had, even though it’s fine now. I really enjoy mine. Thanks for commenting.
