Great to see you live again John. Awesome livestream on video nasties. Really enjoyed it. Thank you for the kind words as well. Really appreciate it. Will definitely have you on soon, when you are free.👍😃
Cheers Scott mate 😁😁👍👍 had a blast doing this with Nige (as always) and no problems mate, you know we all think you're a great guy and a have a great channel mate 🤩🤩👌👌 yeah I'll be there as soon as I can mate!! Thanks again for the offers Scott 😁😁👍👍
@@MondoChelloveckMovies no worries John. Glad you had a great time with Nigel. It was certainly a great time watching it. Oh thank you. Really appreciate that John. Awesome stuff mate. Speak to you soon buddy.👍
@scottthemoviecritic8576 yeah always have a blast with Nige (as we all do 🤩🤩) thanks for watching and we'll get the chance to chat in person soon bud 😁😁👍👍
Cheers for the kind words, guys and I had a blast chatting with you too, Nige.😉👍 I must confess the only 'Video Nasties' i'm interested in owning are those entries which were definitely better put together than the truly lesser efforts. Superior titles such as I Spit On Your Grave, Shogun Assassin, The Evil Dead and Evilspeak among others. Lucio Fulci's flesh-ripping forays, too of course.
@amasvodka I've heard this Vodka, do you know what the picture is like as I can't find a review on that but it does say it misses out the English subtitles 🤔👍👍
@@MondoChelloveckMovies I own it. The transfer is incredible. It doesn’t feature English subtitles, but you can watch both the normal English and Cannes dub.
Glad to see Dead Kids get a mention. It was originally conceived as a trilogy but never came to be. The film was actually shot in New Zealand and produced by Australian, Antony I. Ginnane, who also produced other classic Ozploitation films such as Harlequin, Thirst and Patrick. Great stuff!!
Really good film Arch 🤩🤩👍👍 it looks like it was shot in the States mate, they did a really good job making it look like the US 😁👌 I need to find more out about Ozploitation! Great genre 🤩🤩 thanks again mate 😁😁👍👍
@@MondoChelloveckMovies Well, you now own a fair few Ozploitation entries to educate you, John.😉 Not Quite Hollywood is the perfect place to start.👍
I think you had to live through the original nasties moral panic to appreciate everything you are saying. It was clear that publishing a list of banned films was the best way of making an army of blokes of a certain persuasion, desperate to track all the films down and watch and/or collect them. It's because we were looking at these films in terrible versions that it comes as a complete revelation that the same films could look so good, but nobody who didn't live through the mid-1980s will understand what you are going on about. I mean I do.
I agree mate 👍👍 the way it was seems 100% different to anything today 🤔 as soon as we found out a film was banned it was a race to see them all 🤩🤩 the puritanical approach of all the do gooders was the BEST publicity for these films 🤣🤣👍👍 yeah because all of these were pretty much released by fly by night companies for a quick buck, non of us thought that they would look any good!! I had the misconception that every movie from Italy was the lowest budget movie ever that although enjoyable looked like trash! How wrong I was mate 🤯🤩 thanks for watching 😊😊👍👍
Thanks for watching and following shonteff 🤩🤩👍👍 hopefully the next one will be very soon and it's going to be us answering comments so it should be a lot of fun mate!! 🤩🤩 thanks again 😁😁👍👍
You're right, Nige. DK was also released as 'Small Town Massacre' on VHS over here way back when. Dan Shor also appeared in Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure. Michael Murphy also starred in Shocker. Strange Invaders is another Michael Laughlin effort worth a watch.😉
Michael Murphy also featured in Phase IV. Fiona Lewis made for something of a slinky villainess in DK. She starred in Strange Invaders and Innerspace, too. If I remember rightly, the artwork on that CD included with the Aussie DK BR was the same as that on the cover of the film's 'Small Town Massacre' release on VHS.🤔
@@MondoChelloveckMovies What’s interesting is I actually bought the American VHS version called (Night of the Zombies) when I was around 7 years old at my local mall. This was probably the year (2003) and I still own that VHS. I can really relate to what you two were saying about the quality of those old Nasties being very hard to watch. Night of the Zombies video quality is so dark, you can barely even see the film.
@JaditeKnight starting young 😁😁👍👍 yeah there was no care and attention paid to these nasties in the early days!! Just chucked out with no remaster or anything! I've dismissed some over the years as being hopeless as they were so dark....Driller Killer, Nightmares in a damaged brain spring to mind! Yet now they are 2 of my favourites now mate 😁😁👍👍
Great stream again guys.. I'll definitely catch one live soon I hope lol I nearly picked up the 4k of I Spit on Your Grave today towards my 72 nasties set but passed on it as I'd read that it was still cut? I'm guessing the US Anchor Bay is still the best to get if you want to watch it fully uncut?
Cheers Marcus 😁😁👍👍 I'm sure you will catch us more often than not bud 😁😁👌👌yeah sadly it's cut, otherwise its a good release (if a tad expensive 😵💫) yeah US all the way for the uncut version of this movie mate 😁😁👍👍
Cheers mate, very interesting question 👍🤔😁 personally I wouldn't put anything on a banned list, even though I think if Mary Whitehouse came back to haunt us and made a new list, A Serbian Film would definitely be on there!!.....
