      The Arnold Strongman Classic is held in Ohio and Ohio has a plethora of wind farms especially from Columbus all the way to Michigan. Wind energy is so popular up there you can see residential homes equipped with mini versions of those big ones in the background. As for the pillars I guess they're there for interpretation.

      My dad and I watch WSM every Christmas. We noticed him in the 2016 event and were impressed with his performance despite his young age. Typically it's guys in their late 20s to mid 30s that win these sorts of events because that's when a person's strength hits its peak. Assuming he stays injury-free like you said, I'd say he'll be a legit contender in 3-5 years. It's impressive he's competitive despite being only 24.

    Thank you Rogue Fitness for providing this video, very much appreciated! Always a pleasure to watch these fantastic athletes. What happened to Eddie Hall? I expected to see him here.... Brian Shaw: American Legend. Hafthor Bjornsson: Icelandic Legend. The strength that these men possess is extraordinary. Anyone who has been around and worked with truly STRONG men, will appreciate how powerful these men really are. That some athletes don't make great commentators, who would nit pick over that? Not anyone who is watching for the right reason, after all, it's not like anyone watching this video is paying to see it...... Mark Henry is a great American Strong Man.

    • @Andrew..J
      @Andrew..J 6 років тому +23

      To be fair, he was wrong in what principal he used as well. Centripetal force is what draws a moving mass in given its bound to a center point, while centrifugal force is the reactive force given Newtons third law. What makes the event hard is the tangental force which applies a torque given the mass moment of inertia exerted by the rotating weights. Hes also a shit commentator

      Eddie Hall is not interested in this anymore he said he is now retairing from strongman maybe he will be on WSM but i guess he is now too busy with his bussiness. I think he choosed well cause now it's Thor who is the strongest and he will rule the WSM as well.

    • @tomassikora6879
      @tomassikora6879 6 років тому +13

      I don't think that thor was robbed. 15th rep was not clean and he knows that. But you got the point last year WSM was clearly made for Eddie Hall 3 out of 6 events were those which he is best in = deadlift, Squat, and pushpress (viking press). He is great static strongman but when it comes to movement he is very average and with that said tyre flip 6th, plane pull 3rd and atlas stones 4th ... but overall he did deserve it. But in my eyes Thor would have win last year WSM if he didn't had his disease ( half paralized face) he just could not breathe smoothly and that was his handicap and still ended up on 2nd. Brian also had some issues with his hamstring i guess but i think reason why he ended up on 3rd was that he is now also a father and that's something that is holding him little bit back i think.

    •  6 років тому

      Tomas Sikora , you are correct .. Thor was behind Eddie by just 1 point whereas Brain was 2 points behind Thor ..

    • @askidar267
      @askidar267 6 років тому +9

      Thor was not robbed. Eddie deservet to be WSM. This year Thor can win, and he deserves it.

    • @Outland9000
      @Outland9000 6 років тому +2

      You do realise the ref' for the Viking press at WSM was Magnus Ver Magnusson. Also to insinuate that the events were tailored to suit Eddie specifically is retarded on so many levels. If your the strongest it shouldn't matter what the events are, they had tyre flip and plane pull and the Viking press was for reps not max all of which are typically *not* Eddies best events one of which he won anyway with time to spare. By your thinking that would mean any comp with a loading race or throwing event is tailored for Thor?
      Don't be a tool and just accept that Edd has two world records and the 2017 WSM title fair and square.

  • @AGC828

    Mark Henry explained the axel is 400 pounds...how much did the "wheels" or plates weight /each? Amazing what a difference where the weight is put makes. So many smaller guys out there able to clean/press 400 pounds but using the usual weightlifting bar/plates.

    • @Tommass79

    • @muhammadputera6593
      @muhammadputera6593 5 років тому

      It's 400 pounds including the wheels. What makes it so much harder than 400 lbs in weightlifting is that the wheels don't rotate, and the bar is thick as hell.
