Interesting comment, Keith. What is also amazingly crazy is when you realize the 10th place in this competition is probably 3 times stronger than the strongest guy you'll ever meet in your whole life, including each and every gym you'll ever train. Ordinary people have no idea how superhumanly strong these guys are, including the 10th place. And in the front row, with Big Z, Thor and Shaw, we see "mutant" levels of strengh. They're way, waaaay past what you'd call humanly possible regarding strengh.
When it comes to deciding weights in events "I have some experience, helping run local shows" your bottom 3rd should zero or fail to complete. your middle of the pack group should manage to finish or have a low end single digit rep count, and your top 3rd should be above 5 reps for rep events. most carry events the winner will usually be between 11-20 seconds, loading low 20s, unless a carry and load. The truck pull this year would be considered too difficult, and changes should've been made during testing.

The worlds nicest man Brian Shaw
Shaw is talking about retirement at late 30s..... Felix retired at 50 and was still a true competitor ........ Hmmmm .... And why the hell did Hall retire at 31???????
Eddie accomplished his life goals in the most competitive era imo. He sacrificed enough for it to it's fair for him to retire now.
Nobody noticed the swastika lookin' symbol on that truck at 13:53?
Commentator: “He’s equaled Caron, he’s beaten Caron.” Lmao wth
The winner is awesome but just to get into the finals is such an accomplishment.
Nobody's even coming close to Tom.... Miles ahead in every meeting
