It breaks my heart when young people are going through cancer and treatments. I will pray for a complete healing for you and a long life with your beautiful wife and your lovely family.❤
We have to remember, that now we can identify these cancers. Back in the day people died of "failure to thrive", being a "weakling", and many other none descript versions of not feeling well. Sometimes being too fit can trigger cancer. Extreme athleticism can trigger cancer as in some olympic athletes.
Stay strong! My husband got sick on our honeymoon with viral Cardiomyopathy. I never left his side through 19.5 years of tough times, including a heart transplant. We lost the war but won many battles, and our marriage was STRONG because of it. You and your wife are a great team! You've got this! ❤️

Dr. LaQuaglia is phenomenal! There was a four-part profile piece on him and his work as a pediatric oncology surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering for several decades.
I was a breast cancer patient at MSKCC. They are tops! That was 25 years ago. I still get my mammograms and breast ultrasound there annually. Will be grateful forever for their expertise and compassion.
I watched your recent video and I can't stop thinking about you. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. Thankfully you have a wonderful family and a beautiful loving wife to support you. Cancer does not discriminate, young or old, male or female, rich or poor it can strike anyone at anytime. I wish you all the best for a complete recovery. Keep up the good fight, you have many followers here who believe in you and are praying for your recovery. You have lots of living yet to do!
Thanks for sharing your story! I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. I especially appreciated your comments on family, as well as how the disease was a challenge - not a death sentence (per statistics). You’ve given me much motivation. Thank you, and best of luck to you and your family in the years ahead ❤
God bless you, 🙏 your strength and grace inspires me and gives me hope. I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer in March ‘24, getting chemo responding well and god willing surgery soon. You will be in my thoughts 🌸🍀
I get so sad when I see young people like you going through this. I am sure your fitness regime helped you. I hope that your next round of chemo goes well. It’s wonderful you have a good support system. Thank you for sharing and for your encouraging words to others.
I was just diagnosed a week ago today with small cell lung cancer. It's malignant and has metastasized to other places, I had no symptoms. Every sign of early symptoms I already had. Chest pains, because I have had 4 heart attacks a long with angina. Back pains from previous injury that has hurt for over 25 yrs, I had a cough not bad really, I smoke off and on for 45 yrs. Got out of breath walking 10 feet, but I had gained a lot of weight in a short period of time. Fatigue some swelling etc.. I happened to have a new primary dr who I had seen only twice. She sent me for CT scan because I had stopped smoking last Oct. If she hadn't sent me who knows how long I would have waited. I start chemo next week with radiation to follow. So thank you for making this video. It's a very numbing thing when you are told you have cancer. God bless you.
Prayers for you, strong one… this is sounding like you’re not alone with so many young people getting these “rare” forms of cancer…cling to your faith and know you are not alone.
@@michelebaker6509 I began my cancer journey 12 months ago. I had cancer in 4 places. After chemo every 3 weeks and 17 sessions of radiation treatment, I still have cancer in one place: my right lung. Cancer is persistent and lungs are resistant to treatment. Keep you chin up. This will be a long journey.
Thank you for your candour in describing the difficult journey you have been on. You have been dealt a tough hand but I admire your fortitude in dealing with it. I wish you success in overcoming this terrible disease.
Wow Joe. I was diagnosed with LAMN... appendix cancer that had spread to my abdomen. I had HIPEC treatment. 10 hour long. Omentectomy, peritonectomy and gallbladder removal. Then chemo wash. 4 years later it is back. This is also a rare cancer...so I'll think of you!!!!
My niece had a cancer I believe about as rare as yours: angiosarcoma that started in her liver. It metastasized to her lungs . She had pretty intense abdominal pain as well. ER showed a small mass which they determined to be benign. So, she never got treatment and the gut pain kind of resolved. We thought it was her asthma about 10 months later and shocked to find out her lungs were filled with this rare cancer. Even the first lung biopsy missed it. She was only 23 when she passed. I’m sorry you are of the rare ones too!
What an articulate, well-spoken, engaging, speaker you are! You will beat this and go on to use your gift of storytelling to inspire others!! God bless you and prayers for complete healing!! 🙏🙏💜
Dear Joe. I'm praying for your complete and total healing. Also praying for a wonderful life for you and your wife. God bless both of you and all family members and friends.
Wow!! You are very strong and I admire your strength. My Mom gave up after 3 rounds of chemo and said no more and of course she passed. I hope every one can be even half as strong as you and have your support system. Thank you for this video, you are intelligent and very well spoken. I pray for you and I know you can do this because you love life and your family. Stay strong and brave. God and your family loves you young man.
Thank you for sharing your story. You are a warrior, and I admire your strength. I am a two time cancer survivor. Keep pushing, keep striving, and keep being yourself.
You are incredibly inspiring. What a remarkable story. A wonderful attitude. Thank you for sharing such a private and personal journey. You're the best!
Thank you for sharing everything that you have here. I was healthy and fit when suddenly diagnosed with bone marrow cancer, myeloma, 6 years ago--treatable, with luck, but not curable. I have done unusually well on treatment so far, thanks to great family and medical support but also, I'm convinced, because I went into it good and have fine-tuned diet and exercise since, along with mental and emotional work. Best wishes in the coming months, you definitely have some reason to hope that you will be the best possible case.
That was so smart to get to MD Andersen and Sloan Kettering. For most cancers, your best chance of a cure is early detection and immediate treatment at a specialty setting. Do not let a biopsy or diagnostic tests, or treatment before or after surgery be delayed. It happened to someone I love and they lost their life. God bless and thank you for sharing your story so that others may learn from it ... I'll pray for a complete remission.
Your journey and your openness is inspiring to others. As a cancer survivor your message of positivity and purpose is one that I can relate to. I always saw the glass as half full. There were dark days when my endless rounds of chemo and radiation followed by 4 surgeries would get the best of me. I have a great small support group along with my 2 four legged kids that made all the difference. I wish you all the best and I hope you’re successful in your treatments. Your team seems to be top notch and your care gold standard. I have relatives in Germany who are doctors and they have been following my progress along with my medical team here in the US. I’m on my 5th year of my cancer journey and cherish everyday. Stay strong.

Had a PET scan Friday - and as you know ... waiting 3-4 days for results is anxiety hell. Best wishes to you and your family.. thank you for the video. Sharing is uniting and informative. I'm 73.
thinking of you as you continue treatment!
I beat stage 4 cancer. You’ve got this!

Checking in to see how you are. Hi from Kalamazoo
Always mind the “terrain…” both physically and psychologically. Accepting the gifts along the way. Thank you for sharing.
Dr. LaQuaglia is phenomenal! There was a four-part profile piece on him and his work as a pediatric oncology surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering for several decades.
Dr. LaQuaglia was great to work with! I really enjoyed the whole team at MSK!
I was a breast cancer patient at MSKCC. They are tops! That was 25 years ago. I still get my mammograms and breast ultrasound there annually. Will be grateful forever for their expertise and compassion.
Bravo to you and your wife and family! Wishing you the best. Thank you and please keep us updated on your journey.
Your sharing your story this way encourages others to keep fighting regardless of what they are being challenged with. Keep up the good fight, you have many followers here who believe in you and are praying for your recovery. You have lots of living yet to do!
Thank you for the kind words!

Aprreciate you opening up so much. You have a strong beautiful spirit and I'm sending you and your wife strenght!

God Bless You. My little lovely brother same situation. I AM davastated. God help us. Huggs for You.
Stay strong.
@DavidEVogel thank you I am trying. Last day for round 1 chemo.
Thinking of both of you!
thank you for the kind wishes. if you would like to share your story please visit our website!
God Bless you! Prayers for a complete recovery.. you’re an amazing person!

I’m sorry you are of the rare ones too!
we are so sorry to hear of her passing :(
Ohh no....I am so very sorry for your loss 😔
You are an inspiration to everyone. Thank you for your message and the best for your recovery.
What an articulate, well-spoken, engaging, speaker you are! You will beat this and go on to use your gift of storytelling to inspire others!!

I'll pray for a complete remission.
thank you for the kind comment!
Stay strong.
we are glad to hear you're doing well!
What an amazing human being you are. God bless you!
