None. It's extremely common for games to have 'cut content'. Just like movies film more footage than they actually use. 'Cut content' is interesting, but it's nothing special, or anything 'lost'. If CDPR had taken more time before initial release, or been less 'chaotic', then we simply would've gotten something akin to 2.0, but maybe a little bit sooner.
With 2.0 and Phantom Liberty the game is incredibly good, but I guess that with Cyberpunk 2 (which got it's totally own studio now) they will do all these things better. I have the strong feeling that Cyberpunk 2 Orion will be crazy good.
Cut content is common. At least the story was finished on release, unlike some games like BG3 that cut content from the third act, making many stories unfinished.
They said it was going to be bigger than witcher 3 as a whole including With its DLC! A vast portion of the city leading into the badlands was cut from the game and was actually going to be used in the last mission on the assault on arasaka and Adam smasher was going to have a total of 8 phases starting in that cut out portion of the city and ending where we fight him in the last boss fight with him.
Honestly the Militech cut content was the biggest disappointment for me. Meredith literally offers you work if you side with her but it never goes anywhere. It sucks that we’re not getting any more dlc because I’d pay just as much as Phantom Liberty to get this content restored with a proper Militech ending for the game.
Hopefully the sequel contains a lot more content as they already have a quality game built now. Let's hope they can port most of it over and then use much of the development time to expand on it. Much the same way Rockstar Games are able to use much of what they create in previous titles to make a more detailed and bigger game every iteration
I can see a world where they actually intended a bigger role for Meredith that would probably lead to more Militech gigs. Oh well... At least we weren't part of the team that actually had to create all this only to have it go unsused militech
@@kentallard8852 yeah although that I kinda understand because MaxTac are basically rehabilitated cyberpsychos on the edge of snapping plus V’s a mercenary so it couldn’t be full time but Militech outsources work to mercenaries all the time. Plus with how hugely important Militech is in the cyberpunk universe it’s beyond perplexing that there’s no questline for them especially when almost all of the endings involve attacking Arasaka tower. They were 100% cut content and we need it restored as dlc.
I always believed Meredith Stout was planned to be used more beyond additional gigs, maybe an unofficial fixer maybe even an additional romance option(although I do believe it was just a one time thing), maybe it could've led to an additional ending of Militech v Arasaka. Such a shame just how much would've been in the game had they delayed another 2 years.
She does literally say, until we meet again, Corporate gods willing. She was definitely supposed to play a bigger role, as were the corps as a whole. Then it all got side-lined for a boring Johnny centric revenge plot.
I feel Downtown had too few gigs compared to other areas, maybe Meredith Stout was intended to be a "kind of" fixer for that area, making personal jobs for her.
This maybe feels like it could have been a follow-up to the Flathead mission - perhaps they were planning to have a route where Meredith recovers it first and you have to go pick it up from Militech instead.
It's kind of funny how the main story is slightly above mediocre, while the side missions and specially phantom liberty are far better, even johnny shines more in those places
What a beautiful interior, you can tell they had a certain style going for militech and were still working on that area inside the building. Breaks my heart that the game didn’t receive more time to be finished back in 2020.

I don't think this would be really playable even if it would be released "when it's ready". It looks like to me they had an idea but they did something different. I think, if we got this Militech building, Arasaka would be cutted.
Goddamn, between the following: - Arasaka Waterfront - Militech Tower - Casino - Oilfields - Biotechnica flats - Building out the area around the casino and Westbrook It feels like more than enough expansion to the city and the surrounding area for a sequel. Set it 10 years after 2077 so we're in the midst of the 5th Corporate War, and all those areas have experienced massive buildup since the previous game. so in addition to major changes to the city itself, more areas would be added and changed. Seeing Dogtown 10 years after 2077 would be cool as well.
Imagine Dogtown actually cleaned up and functioning as part of the city. Would be an interesting inverse as it always seems things degrade in sequels not get better
@@chrispekel5709 Oh, 10 years after Arasaka is forced out and Militech moves in? I could see Dogtown fixed up and expanded... but more as a severely militarized area.
I was wandering around and got into the prison the other day. That's clearly cut content too, as well as the place that spews the yellow smoke over the road. The devs tried to make them inaccessible, but with double jump and dashing you can't really do that. The objects inside the walls of these places are there to help you get out, so i can just imagine some dev being sad putting those there like "I don't blame you for getting in here, but unfortunately there is nothing to see. Here are some crates for you to get out" So many areas and things that were cut. Sad.

based on the early alpha builds we've seen of the game and how detailed life paths were initially intended to be, it's VERY likely there could have been a militech life path for which the game could have began in.
Despite having the emotional gut punch I get every time I watch a video that covers cut content for 2077, it also makes me excited thinking about how much more fleshed out the sequel will be when it comes out years from now. Awesome content, MZK.
@@wawa6711 I feel the same. CDPR has been one of my top developers for the last 8 years, so I would hope that they learn from their (corpo) mistakes and return to form with the eventual sequel or subsequent Witcher title they release!
@@thr0wawaycut content happens but this extent was them being forced to cut out a lot of stuff so they could release the game in the timeframe they were given. I feel like most games cut content is a few side quests and not like 3-4+ big buildings fully modeled inside like this.
Can't wait to see what they are going to do with Cyberpunk 2. The game is in a fantastic state now, and they can build on this foundation to create something magnificent.
They will unfortunately not even get to build off of anything made for 2077, obviously maybe lore but nothing physical - since they stated their intention to move off the REDEngine and to Unreal Engine :(
@@lunasnell In some ways that is true, but the most difficult work, creating the game's core systems, and mechanics, has been done. They might have to rebuild them in Unreal, but they now already know what works, and doesn't work. On top of that, they have had a lot of input from their fans. All that experience is an incredible advantage.
Megabuildings, Militech tower, Casino, Arasaka Waterfront, Oilfields, Biotechnica Flats are all cut content and makes the game a husk of what it could have been.
Yes, let's focus on what's not there instead of acknowledging that there IS 100+ hours of solid content and the city is still sprawling and incredible despite these things.
I definitely wanted more from Militech in the game. Meredith seemed like a cool character and I really liked the idea of Militech vs. Arasaka. If I had my way, the whole Johnny thing would've basically been a side quest, and the inner workings of the corps would've been front and center. The side quests about the Peralez's seemed to have a lot of potential as well.
That was my thoughts too, I feel like the story having such dire stakes really stops it from exploring a lot of the different factions in the universe as there simply is no reason for V to do so seeing as he’s supposed to be dying. Image FalloutNV style factions being able to build a reputation and play both sides like a double agent
Seems to indicate some sort of faction system like we see in games like Fallout, also feels similar to how gangs feel relatively underbaked outside of a few story beats. Specifically with Militech, I agree that Meredith probably had more going on, whether she had tons of missions and side stories or if she's a sort of "in" with Militech. You do work with her and eventually she puts you in front of high ups at the company for bigger work. For the amount of work and detail that went into her character model, dialog, and voice acting, it definitely feels like there was more planned (especially when you consider that depending on your choices, you can find her dead body in the water).
It's apalling that this massive building of one of the most important corporations of the game is so poorly designed. A corp like this would also have a giant entrance like the Arasaka building at least and some kind of foyer. CDPR must've really been completely overwhelmed for a long time. I bet this game is both a dream and a nightmare come true for them. Great video, subbed 😉
Especially with how Meredith hopes to offer you more Militech work in game, it is very possible that there was at least a big part of side content available for that corporation which all ended up on the cutting room floor. Shame, but it is what it is. Cyberpunk is a big setting, and perhaps they bit off more than they could chew. You can see how in Phantom Liberty they tried to revisit Militech, which was a big missing piece of the world building. After all, they are the two biggest corpos that always square off.
CDPR should have included more Militech related story with Phantom Liberty. Look at all the underground Militech locations in Dogtown? How was Meredith Stout not considered for this expansion????
I always found it odd that besides Arasaka and Netwatch Militech is one of the biggest and most mentioned Corp, but there's never really any content featuring Militech, apart from very brief side roles in some quests or a few small gigs. It even plays a central role in the looming next corpo war.
It interesting that the story references so much of the Corpo War and yet the player rarely gets involved in the power struggles within the city. If the execs at CDPR were less greedy this game could have been SO much bigger. Your content, buddy, is epic. Keep doing the Lords work.
How cool it would have been if they finished the militech skyscraper and when you decided to help meredith stout early in the game it unlocks a set of corpo missions with her in that building after the heist. Would have also made more sense to end her questline with the romance, instead of a random call and meeting her at some hotel lol
My guess is CD Projekt Red originally intended to have a much more in-depth factions system, where V could potentially side with a corporation like Militech and work their way up the ladder in order to maybe achieve an ending after beating the game. And maybe also working for other rival factions, which in turn makes the Militech building a place to stealth or even blast your way through to gain favour with others, perhaps unlocking another ending based on that. It seems like something the devs would do, before having to scale everything back for the final release thus leaving content like this unfinished.
There is as much cut content in game as actual content... What we are currently cooing over is a shell of what it was supposed to be, what it could have been. But no, three years and abandoned.
Like you said at the entrance to the building, it is possible that the lifepaths could have had multiple options. For corpo it likely would've been which corp you worked for (saka, militech, maybe even biotech or kangtao), could've possibly affected V's corpo knowledge or style Streetkid could've possibly had different zones they were raised in which could affect their perception (Heywood, Rancho Coronado, Japantown, Northside, Dogtown(?) ) which could've affected their knowledge of fixers and how they were raised And finally nomad could've possibly had different clan choices which would've definitely impacted your relationship with the Aldecaldo's more (what if V was born into a Raffen clan?) that sorta stuff was probably atleast a passing thought of CDPRs when they were making the game, I feel
If the next CP game also takes place in NC, they should just reuse the current map and expand on it, adding new interiors and more locations, maybe changing some details of the existing buildings etc.
@@AlleyCatNinjaI believe UE5 will be a massive help to bring to life their vision since Cyberpunk 2077 suffered a lot from technical limitations (as well as rushed development)
I feel like this was created at the point in time before CDPR decided to cut the intro down to just 3 lifepaths. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure your starting "traits" in that version included working for Arasaka OR Militech among various other different ways V could begin their journey.
I wonder if Militech in general was supposed to play a bigger role. They are Arasaka's arch nemesis yet the only time you actually interact with anyone from Militech is during that one mission that was shown in the demo, beyond that they show up as an enemy in that one Aldecaldos mission and them they fuck off completely from the game apart from 1 or 2 enemy encounters.
This makes me so excited for the next cyberpunk game. Imagine cyberpunk but with wall running, some type of jetpack/verticality mechanic, accessible corpo buildings, fully realised vertical spaces and megabuildings, etc. It would be game of the decade for sure! I am so hyped already!! They better not let us down again...
The bottom half is beautiful ❤ It reminds me of design from Bladerunner and for some reason also the OCP-building from Robocop, even though there's basically no similarities.
If the initial investors weren't so damn greedy fearing that the covid epidemic would diminish their return on investment, we would of had the most epic game on its initial release. So much content had to be cut to meet that deadline smh
Yeah but on the other hand I don't understand CD Project's decisions because this way they had such an opportunity to add this unused content in 2 or even 3 expansions. Pure profit. Probably there are even unfinished quests drafts / texts / models / animations still in company database that could be implemented in game. GTA 5 is still being updated after almost 10 years and it still has a lot of players. CD Project finally fixed this game engine after 3 years from release, eliminated most of the bugs and now they just abandon game and focus on other projects. This financial strategy makes no sense to me. There's a huge Night City map with a lot of buildings and terrain that can be filled with new content. You need so much more effort and so many developers to create totally new game .... and less than 1/3 of the team to create some expansions. Witcher 3 had 2 expansions (Blood and Wine was even larger than phantom liberty in my opinion) and they finished Cyberpunk 2077 with just one.
I would honestly be fine with cyberpunk 2077 2 just expanding on the current city map, a la Hyrule in Zelda BOTW and TOTK. Add some more verticality, build out these planned areas (Arasaka Watefront, Hills, Badlands, etc.), and maybe expand the city limits a bit. I’m still finding new areas and interesting locations in 2077, with over 200 hours across multiple playthroughs
Working elevators really are the big tell. And how much it works too. If it has floor options then its over, this was planned to be used until pretty much the end. Megabuilding 10 was probably dropped right before launch.
You said it! The Corps, in a world that's supposed to be run by them and we're constantly told how evil they supposedly are, and they're not fucking used! We get Stout, that's really the only Militech interaction we get, we down a Kang Tao AV, they never show up again. It's so disappointing that what would've made this game interesting took a back seat or was completely wiped entirely for a boring Silverhand Revenge arc.
So I just started watching your videos, and they are amazing. These videos remind me of this guy who did the same kind of exploration videos in World of Warcraft. Sadly, Havengames passed away passed away years ago, but he gave many normies like me a love for seeing beyond the smoke and mirrors. Also the "what could have been content" that has some assets that you can still see in the playable game.
If you watch the first trailer at 1:06 there's a spaceship where one of the passengers is overheating it was probably headed to the moon as i remeber in Edgerunners David had a dream of visiting moon with his friends I guess that means we were supposed to be able to go there through the spaceport which is a cut content also but im not sure it just looks like that
The AV pad would have been so dope! When I saw the first trailer of the game way back I thought that it would be super cool, to become this NC legend and get rich and own an AV or even just have access to an AV shuttle service. Would’ve been awesome
Its so weird to me that they didnt at least give big corpo buildings enterable lobbies with the elevators blocked off, irl most buildings at least have public lobbies
There's so many things this could have been done for or apart of there's a lot of lore related to Militek , heck even phantom liberty, Reed mentioned that being a Nus agent gets them first pick on the Best equipment from there also, and president Myers used to be a CEO of Militek I believe or at least work for them
I pray the modding gods will restore that somehow. I think there was definitely planned something with Meredith since she does offer you potential work at the end of the all foods gig

Amazing how good this game is despite all the cut content. Goes to show that, if they had developed this properly or committed to more DLC to add the cut content, how this legit could have been considered one of the best all time games.
You mean because Militech funded his terrorist operation? I don't think it was cut, they just wanted a less complex narrative for the player, as it could get needlessly confusing
With all the scenarios surrounding the Flathead heist that just culminates into a weirdly binary choice with Maelstrom, I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't supposed to be a bunch more Militech interactions right from the jump. I always felt with the backstories and dialogue options they always planned each story mission to have three outcomes.
2:18 looks like the entrance to any Construction site in London right now. 3:15 good old MINECRAFT noclip flying. 4:00 yes thats the Flathead 4:06 no thats an auto turret LMG, the one you can't holster. 5:28 not sure if thats where militech flying APCs launch from in a cut scene.
I'm willing to bet they didn't abandon it but postponed its use for project Orion. Apparently, one of the endings in phantom liberty is arasaka pulls out of night city and militech asserts dominance.
Seeing all the unfinished and clearly cut content in the game like this building, the casino, the spaceport, and so much more, AND seeing what the devs did with Phantom Liberty makes me sad but it also makes me SO excited for the potential of a sequel. If CDPR learns its lessons with this game and gives the next one the time and care it deserves and needs, it could be obsoletely amazing. In my opinion, this game is really great (especially now), but the fact that it basically released in its beta state and only NOW is at the point it should have been on release is ridiculous. I really hope CDPR does better in future.
Tell that to the shareholders, as they're ultimately the ones that forced CDPR's hand. It was either release the game and piss off a lot of fans, or delay the game and lose *A LOT* of money, resulting in the game possibly never even being released. Company has to keep the lights on somehow. However next time 'round might be better, as long as CDPR manages to temper shareholder expectations. A great start would be not giving unrealistic release dates and then pushing them back three times so you don't get yourself into a lose-lose situation again.
The original raid on Arasaka in Johnny’s memory was according to lore a militech operation with Morgan black hand, who was also cut. Maybe the raid was going to be more faithfully represented before they decided to give us a more interpretive and less reliable engram memory of the event?
I wouldn’t be surprised if this will be used in the sequel, from what we now know from phantom liberty Militech will probably play a major role with hints towards another corporate war with them definitely being involved and the fact that in the new ending it seems that Militech had put night city into martial law with patrols, walls, watch towers and loud speakers all throughout the city so it seems we’ll be seeing a lot more from them in the future.
I really hope that they are able to realize the city more fully with orion. They did make a bit of money with this game so i hope they are able to expand the studio a little
❤"the second coming of Christ" 😂😂, I love this channel this guy gets the job done, been a console player I'm always trying to sneak in everywhere of course having almost no success or spending hours just to climb over some vertical structures, so THANK YOU! for doing this type of content, pretty straight forward 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah there is a lot of cut content but what we got is still a crazy amount of content. The city is really vibrant, thugs on every corner talking about different things, a lot of gigs (some are boring though) and characters with actual personality. 3rd playthrough and I'm still discovering easter eggs and secrets. My guess is that they can reuse a lot of stuff they didn't end up using for the sequel. Also that building was in a very rough stage, a working elevator isn't much work. You find this kind of content cut in almost every open world game.
I really hope modders will take advantage of all of this extra space to play with, as well as there being no dialogue options when it comes down to V using Johnny’s pistol, shades, boots, or car when talking to the band members.
my theory: this building, pair with meredith stout, seem to be a cut questline and "romantic" option (in which, instead of siding with arasaka, v can call meredith, and with her and the backing up of militech, storm arasaka mikoshi, kill yorinobu and hanako, destroy engram of saburo) lead to an ending where militech become the leading corp of night city, v become a new morgan blackhand
makes me even more eager to see the next cyberpunk game, as they'll use the unreal engine, more user friendly and thy might be able to add in all the bits they really want
One of CDPR devs said that there was an idea for a militech ending but in the end it got cut because the team said there was already a lot of endings in the game.. Or maybe the the team did not have the time to do it..? If you think about the idea of a militech ending it makes sense.. In the start of the game you meat a militech agent meredith stout this character originally planed to play a bigger role in the story you can discover that in a tattoo on her neck I guess the original idea for her she well have a entire questline like judy panam kerry and river and this questline well give you a new option in the ending like the a Aldecaldo panam ending but for militech A militech meredith ending.
At 3:53 the white guns on the left side were only introduced with the Phantom liberty update, which makes me assume they were added after the the release of Phantom liberty unless these are randomized weapon slots. still interesting though.
Hopefully with the swap to UE they will be able to add more things like this to the next cyberpunk. This, metal heaven, just things that you can take a look at on a smaller scale and makes the world feel so much bigger because of how granular you can go
My best guess was the decision to either take down militech or Arasaka for who controls the city. A lot of the games choices are just gone so something like this would make sense to me
I can only hope that CPDR expands on 2077's foundation with Cyberpunk Orion. Very likely it will still take place in night city, so who know, maybe they'll finally make use of these unused buildings and maybe expand the city, vertically and horizontally.
They could've had an ending where you raid arasaka with the FIA inorder to destroy mikoshi and to give Johnny one last send off before going in to the tower ending.
All this cut content is eventually getting ported into UE5 too, along with the rest of the city. These places may yet turn into something in the future.
After watching your missing district video it almost makes me wonder if in a few years down the road modders will find ways to restore and use cut content like this, FNV has been made like a brand new game almost with all of the mods restoring cut content, would love to see it for this game too
I am positive that in a future modders and game designers will proceed to massively finish detail of Night City, adding major interiors of megabuildings, adding stations, adding whole sections where players can wander. I am not certain whether or not this "reverse engineering" will happen in Unreal, or Red Engine will linger on for some time. If CDPR is smart about it, they will crowdsource design and development, do in-house clean-up of these desgns over time, make certain that the whole process seamlessly migrates into Unreal over time. There is potential for "a return to Night City", taking content from mods, and essentially doubling the functional real estate in Night City - or even have it go exponential well before 2030. This city is a labour of love in both creators as well as players and modders. People will not let this go. This game will not die, even if CDPR as a game company would die. In a perfect world, by 2040 Night City is majorly filled in, will run in Unreal, will have multiple career paths, several new ending for V, will have subsumed most mods into itself, and will have ben re-assimilated by some form of CDPR management. There may be gameplay unthinkable for today, maybe even options for completely different characters and character arcs, timelines and storylines. I know multiplayer games tend to rot because of low player quality, but I can imagine group play where a number of players go through a series of game challenges as a team. I can even see such endeavours have an X-rated quality. there is a lot of pornographic potential for Night City and demand certainly exists. Leveling up your Mister Stud / Venus Flower, anyone?
Has to be quest driven, the reason not to use a developed place is because someone decided to kill of quests that use that space. Maybe a DLC got canned.
You should explore the militech bunkers under dogtown, especially Cynosure. I know that you go through a little of the area, but most of it is skipped by the player because of the storyline/robot
There should be a new law that says game companies are not allowed to be influenced or listen to their investors. they have completely run this entire industry into the ground to the point that a game instantly becomes a 10/10 game when they dont have loot boxes or microtransactions
i feel like we will definitely see more of militech and netwatch is cyberpunk orion, my theory is the next game will be about the fall of the blackwall
If that happens all humans would be purged from the system and killed, and those not connected to networks would never be able to jack in again. It might be about that potentially happening and trying to stop it but if it happens it's the end of the world
do you think that maybe the prison was potentially a location you could be in? maybe as part of a gig or a job where you were arrested and had to break out? I feel like a lot of Arroyo was left completely barren, with the jail and the massive Petrochem complex being completely void (though you can get in it with the double jump and a garbage truck)

They could have at least opened these areas to modders to build an unofficial DLC.
Here are some crates for you to get out"
So many areas and things that were cut. Sad.
Oh yes the prison is a classic, need to revisit that place for a video. Anything that stands out to you when exploring it?
The prison has an entire rec yard full of prisoners and guards.
@@jayshaft3179 full? When I made this comment it was a single set of prisoners that didn't respawn and it was about 5-7 guards that infinitely respawned around one of the featureless corners. There is nothing there other than space, boxes for you to save respawning and NPCs that were clearly made for more than what's there.
@@dave93x I wish I had taken a video. It might be the mods I'm using, but I found the whole rec yard full of people. I'll go back in a minute and check. I can cheat jump over the walls. Clipping through might make a difference.
@@dave93x They gave the prison a full day/night spawning cycle. The crowd will grow and shrink throughout the day. Just found that out.
Did You check the abandoned Biotechnica building in Dogtown close to the stadium? There are some mysterious doors with key pad leading to Level b2-b5. Also close to it You can find a bricked-up entrance with a painted yellow X mark.
I will definitely take a look, stay tuned
based on the early alpha builds we've seen of the game and how detailed life paths were initially intended to be, it's VERY likely there could have been a militech life path for which the game could have began in.
Despite having the emotional gut punch I get every time I watch a video that covers cut content for 2077, it also makes me excited thinking about how much more fleshed out the sequel will be when it comes out years from now. Awesome content, MZK.
I really, really hope so. They can not afford to fuck up again.
@@wawa6711 I feel the same. CDPR has been one of my top developers for the last 8 years, so I would hope that they learn from their (corpo) mistakes and return to form with the eventual sequel or subsequent Witcher title they release!
There is no guarantee a 2077 sequel wouldn't face the same issues. Most if not all games have cut content.
No Johnny :(
@@thr0wawaycut content happens but this extent was them being forced to cut out a lot of stuff so they could release the game in the timeframe they were given. I feel like most games cut content is a few side quests and not like 3-4+ big buildings fully modeled inside like this.
Can't wait to see what they are going to do with Cyberpunk 2.
The game is in a fantastic state now, and they can build on this foundation to create something magnificent.
I'm no tech guy so I hope they can at least copy sole of the map or gameplay, even if their using a new engine for Cyberpunk 2.0
I just want a more fleshed out version of 2077 :( I don't need more adventures without Johnny.
@@mansnotprot1544 I did not like the Johnny character. Adventures without Johnny would be a bonus.
They will unfortunately not even get to build off of anything made for 2077, obviously maybe lore but nothing physical - since they stated their intention to move off the REDEngine and to Unreal Engine :(
@@lunasnell
In some ways that is true, but the most difficult work, creating the game's core systems, and mechanics, has been done. They might have to rebuild them in Unreal, but they now already know what works, and doesn't work. On top of that, they have had a lot of input from their fans. All that experience is an incredible advantage.
Militech entrance is genius, tiny with no cover and the turrets above to shred.
Hopefully these unused spaces like this could be modded into side quests. Could easily be made into stealth mission for that building.
"Why is my game lagging?"
*unusable map areas rendering in the background
Legit makes no sense lol, unless it’s like some team fortress 2 spaghetti code situation where removing one line of code destroys the entire game
Megabuildings, Militech tower, Casino, Arasaka Waterfront, Oilfields, Biotechnica Flats are all cut content and makes the game a husk of what it could have been.
Hopefully the modders will take advantage of all this extra space to play with.
Yes, let's focus on what's not there instead of acknowledging that there IS 100+ hours of solid content and the city is still sprawling and incredible despite these things.
@@FoundaPeanutNot very likely, since cp2077 is pretty uneasy to mod
There's a great difference between cut content and unused area/assets
A "husk" 🙄
Get over yourself, lol. Game has more quality content than the last three Ubisoft games combined.
What you says and 6:48 was really good about if implied depth but no capitalization then u see what was planned and cut and it makes sense
Love these vids about cut content in cyberpunk 2077. Great job!
glad to hear it my man, plenty more to come
Seems to indicate some sort of faction system like we see in games like Fallout, also feels similar to how gangs feel relatively underbaked outside of a few story beats.
Everywhere you go in this game you see cut content.
THe amount of work that has been done to unused space in NC prob represent quite a lot of development that went nowhere
For corpo it likely would've been which corp you worked for (saka, militech, maybe even biotech or kangtao), could've possibly affected V's corpo knowledge or style
Streetkid could've possibly had different zones they were raised in which could affect their perception (Heywood, Rancho Coronado, Japantown, Northside, Dogtown(?) ) which could've affected their knowledge of fixers and how they were raised
And finally nomad could've possibly had different clan choices which would've definitely impacted your relationship with the Aldecaldo's more (what if V was born into a Raffen clan?)
that sorta stuff was probably atleast a passing thought of CDPRs when they were making the game, I feel
If the next CP game also takes place in NC, they should just reuse the current map and expand on it, adding new interiors and more locations, maybe changing some details of the existing buildings etc.
I hope so. Night city is such a well designed map that it's the first game I have played that doesn't make me want new locations for a sequel
I foresee many problems with trying to port the entire city from Red Engine to UE5. I really wish they would have just stuck with their own engine.
4:23 blud wasn't about to risk it 💀💀💀
I think this was the place where the Flathead robot located originally, V needs to go in and grab it. I guess. 😂
actually makes sense
What these videos tell me is that there was a whole lot of ideas, but no plan or structure to execute them perfectly. What could have been.
The bottom half is beautiful ❤
It reminds me of design from Bladerunner and for some reason also the OCP-building from Robocop, even though there's basically no similarities.
Witcher 3 had 2 expansions (Blood and Wine was even larger than phantom liberty in my opinion) and they finished Cyberpunk 2077 with just one.
it was released before covid, and the problem was they started development much later than they claimed they did and it was a rushed chaos
@kentallard8852 Cyberpunk was released December 2020. Covid announced January 2020
@@PhucYuBichcovid was known about in last 3 months of 2019. The fear mongering didnt start till 2020
Damn its crazy how I saw that comment on the other video uploaded the day before and you already deliver a video on it, well done man😊
I would honestly be fine with cyberpunk 2077 2 just expanding on the current city map, a la Hyrule in Zelda BOTW and TOTK.
I don't think that's true, the entire story revolves around Arasaka. It's a huge complex world, they couldn't include everything
So I just started watching your videos, and they are amazing. These videos remind me of this guy who did the same kind of exploration videos in World of Warcraft. Sadly, Havengames passed away passed away years ago, but he gave many normies like me a love for seeing beyond the smoke and mirrors. Also the "what could have been content" that has some assets that you can still see in the playable game.
to see this rendition of night city only reach a fraction of it''s potential makes me wanna scrape my eyes with sandpaper
Meredith Stoudt does questionable things to you ? That line alone is worth a subscription.😂😂👏👏
Real recognises real cheers
If you watch the first trailer at 1:06 there's a spaceship where one of the passengers is overheating it was probably headed to the moon as i remeber in Edgerunners David had a dream of visiting moon with his friends
I guess that means we were supposed to be able to go there through the spaceport which is a cut content also but im not sure it just looks like that
The AV pad would have been so dope!
There's so many things this could have been done for or apart of there's a lot of lore related to Militek , heck even phantom liberty, Reed mentioned that being a Nus agent gets them first pick on the Best equipment from there also, and president Myers used to be a CEO of Militek I believe or at least work for them
She was their CEO, as were other Presidents. The company runs the NUSA but has reduced power in night city being that is an independent free state
I pray the modding gods will restore that somehow. I think there was definitely planned something with Meredith since she does offer you potential work at the end of the all foods gig
Unless they release the developer tools it won't happen
@@chrispekel5709 You might be surprised what people are capable of with just the modder utilities available now along with Redmod. Before 2.0 they were just getting into voiced missions. I doubt the original content will be restored, but something creative can probably be done
@@chrispekel5709 pretty sad if u ask me, when i decided to replay it with mods and saw the modding scene in nexus i knew modding cp2077 is no easy task
Amazing how good this game is despite all the cut content. Goes to show that, if they had developed this properly or committed to more DLC to add the cut content, how this legit could have been considered one of the best all time games.
I think its also possible for the militech stuff to be cut from Johnny's flashbacks.
You mean because Militech funded his terrorist operation? I don't think it was cut, they just wanted a less complex narrative for the player, as it could get needlessly confusing
Silverhand was a militech solder. And deserter
That’s what they claimed before release specifically during that infamous demo. They claimed most quests would have that many branching paths.
2:18 looks like the entrance to any Construction site in London right now.
3:15 good old MINECRAFT noclip flying.
4:00 yes thats the Flathead
4:06 no thats an auto turret LMG, the one you can't holster.
"I'm not the second coming of christ" He says unironically while floating and warping through walls.
You find this kind of content cut in almost every open world game.
i wonder if CDPR will import CP2077 to UE5 an fill it out more for Orion. I Hope they add more life paths. One where your a NUSA/Militech agent
I can't wait for mods to start expanding these locations.
Its a shame they're not going to be bringing more content to the game. A lot of this stuff could have been fleshed out over time
I really hope modders will take advantage of all of this extra space to play with, as well as there being no dialogue options when it comes down to V using Johnny’s pistol, shades, boots, or car when talking to the band members.
As far as I know, dialogue is one of the hardest things to mod in this game, meaning I don't think that we will see many mods in that direction.
@@dertr4746 BG3 already has full dialogue replacer mods, what makes bg3 so easy to mod vs cyberpunk?
my theory: this building, pair with meredith stout, seem to be a cut questline and "romantic" option (in which, instead of siding with arasaka, v can call meredith, and with her and the backing up of militech, storm arasaka mikoshi, kill yorinobu and hanako, destroy engram of saburo) lead to an ending where militech become the leading corp of night city, v become a new morgan blackhand
makes me even more eager to see the next cyberpunk game, as they'll use the unreal engine, more user friendly and thy might be able to add in all the bits they really want
They could be saving content like this for the next game
One of CDPR devs said that there was an idea for a militech ending but in the end it got cut because the team said there was already a lot of endings in the game.. Or maybe the the team did not have the time to do it..?
If you think about the idea of a militech ending it makes sense..
In the start of the game you meat a militech agent meredith stout this character originally planed to play a bigger role in the story you can discover that in a tattoo on her neck I guess the original idea for her she well have a entire questline like judy panam kerry and river and this questline well give you a new option in the ending like the a Aldecaldo panam ending but for militech
A militech meredith ending.
Very likely it will still take place in night city, so who know, maybe they'll finally make use of these unused buildings and maybe expand the city, vertically and horizontally.
we probably could choose back then the corpo life arasaka' kang tao or militech and they just simplified it.
Yeaaaahhh there was probably a cut corpo esc ending involving militech helping V
Half of the game is basically cut content 😂😂👏👏phenomenal
Oh wow I was not expecting this great video ✨
Oh my, imagine we could fck up the Arasaka, then go over to Militech followed by KangTao. What a wet dream this could be!!!
I’m sure cut areas like the Militech Megabuilding will be in Orion
it wouldnt surprise me if all of the cut areas were readded in the sequel
I was hoping phantom liberty would give us some scenes in the Militech HQ
Id rather them keep supporting and adding to this game than making a new game
Yeah bro
probably usable interior in the next DLC
God I hope the move to UE4 for the sequel hasn't completely killed all of these unused assets
ouuu dude I can imagine corpo v being able to pick which corpo they start from
was maybe an alternate version of the corpo prologue, wouldnt have added much anyway
i feel like we will definitely see more of militech and netwatch is cyberpunk orion, my theory is the next game will be about the fall of the blackwall
I wish we got to use the Flathead outside of that scripted sequence
You could jump the sloped Front Wall at least to the Pads
