Just to reiterate, your the best guitar enthusiast/teacher and just cool person on UA-cam thanks for your uploads. So much of what you play are the songs that I grew up with and play. I always get a little extra from your videos that I might have missed or a different take that is nice so keep em coming and I hope that things are going great for you !
That’s some pinky you got there . Love you reminiscing about your early days in the garage and hearing the excitement in your voice and body movements.
So awesome in it's simplicity, but still difficult in it's own way. It's all about how you play it. Not easy by a long stretch! Good to build some rhythm chops. Love your sound with that telecaster!
Thanks mate, i play rhythm in our dad band and these kind of lessons have really helped me learn/reassure i'm laying it down as tight as possible. Thanks for posting, i watch every video :)
I just found you through your old channel - through your Wallflowers one headlight video. I just wanted to say thanks for sticking with this (and thanks for keeping the old videos up). Your material is what shines through this media - really the best part of UA-cam.
Damn you shred man. Keep it up, I enjoy your perspective on listening to the sound of the music rather than studying specifically what is played and on what frets
I’m so thrilled I found your channel! I’m 54 and have been piddling around on the guitar for a couple of years. I’m not very good but I’m having a lot of fun. Anyway, I’ve been trying to take it a little more seriously and at least learn some new songs, one of which is My Sweet Lord. I watched Marty and a couple others and then YT recommended your old channel. Long story short....er, after viewing about a dozen of your videos I realized I’d struck gold. I listened to your final comments, and now, here I am. Just wanted to say thanks and let you know how helpful your instruction is. I’m hooked.
These rhythm exercises always help my overall playing tremendously. Share this channel to any _pentatonic_ wizard who wants to become a _real_ wizard. Thanks James!
Thank you Mr. 2 J's , I was brushing up on Celebration Day yesterday and I am constantly working on my inner J.P. since he's my number 1 influence. I've never messed with Communication Breakdown for some reason. 🤔 PEACE and stay safe! 🐉🎸🎶🎵🛸🌌
Very good tutorial here brother, and as you pointed out alot of people get that rhythm pattern wrong. Thanks for clearing that up so nicely, I was beginning to wonder if anyone really knew how to play it right. People who want to learn how to play this song as well as many others need to watch your UA-cam videos.
Thanks for posting this James. Nice to see something focused on rhythm, not a lot out there. I've been watching your videos for years and they have helped me so much and are fun to watch because you're so damn good. You play all the music I grew up on. Stay well and Rock on!
Someone is selling a replica Dragon tele in my neighborhood on Craigslist. I have an Am. Standard and a MIM tele, but man, that is a cool looking guitar!
Hiya PT, I wish I had watched the whole of your farewell PT video....I never knew that you had started this channel so i've been missing this channel for five years :-(. I always thought your channel was the best and I learned a lot of my favourite songs from you....I have a lot to catch up on James...btw ignore those jealous assholes....take care and stay safe....we need great guys like you on YT...cheers Davie. :-) PS: This is another great video!!
Hi JJ, I just saw something interesting: in the early live clip on Denmark TV, they start out with Comm B'down, and it looks like Jimmy just stays in the 5th fret for the verse riffing. He doesn't move up for the E chord, just hits the low E string, and then the D/A chords right there. I've always played it like you w/ full E chord.
Nice lesson, badass Jimmy Page can't be beat..Anyone know what the recording is? , doesn't sound like the studio album maybe my 60 yr old ears going bad

I've looked at a few of these tutorials. You're the first one to get it right.
Man I love that guitar. I have a telecaster but its black and white. Gotta love Tele’s

60 yrs old rocker. How cool is that! Lots of memories with the music. Thx.
This song is like a template for hundreds of rock songs. Same thing with Babe I'm Gonna Leave You.
Unreal! I've had this song in my head the last couple of days! Thank you.
Absolutely the best on UA-cam, hands down !!
Damn you shred man. Keep it up, I enjoy your perspective on listening to the sound of the music rather than studying specifically what is played and on what frets
a lot o people teach this part wrong, im so grateful to have found this video, thank you so much!
That solo is also one of my favorites of Page. Just an absolute mad genius

Great to see you are still having fun with a song you have played so many times. 👍👍👍
This "rhythm series" has been great. Cheers mate

Thanks James!
Thanks for posting this - looks like fun! You’re fortunate to have siblings who appreciated music the way you do. Stay safe and keep rockin’.

A shirt with no logo are you feeling o.k ? Just kidding love the lesson as always and of course the Jimi replica tele.
That guitar!! Love it!
Someone is selling a replica Dragon tele in my neighborhood on Craigslist. I have an Am. Standard and a MIM tele, but man, that is a cool looking guitar!
This song inspired Johnny Ramone. My Generation was the first lyrically punk song, this was the first musically punk song.
Cool Tele....!!
JJ, Do you still buy cd's or Vinyls ?
Which format do you prefer to listening to music ?
Stay Safe!
I prefer CDs. But at home, I mostly just put UA-cam on the surround system and listen that way.
Uber
Before the solo, I like to bend the low E on the 12th fret wildly...
Pretty sweet guitar
Greatl lesson thank you

When he did it live, sometimes he’d just hit the low E string and the octave note on the A string. He wasn’t quite so “lazy” on the studio recording.
Pretty FROM Nrw York city
Hi James,
Love the channel, you have a unique way of teaching that clicks very well. Will you be making a patreon so that we can support you?
Looks like a Bob Ross painting in the background.
Guilty as charged. My wife and I decided to try our hand at painting the Bob Ross way. It was a lot of fun.
👍👍👍
What amp & Pedal are u using? Great Sound X
No pedals, that's through a Peavey Vypyr 100.
@@jamesjames9275 Thanks and thats the same amp for All Down The Line ?
Nice lesson, badass Jimmy Page can't be beat..Anyone know what the recording is? , doesn't sound like the studio album maybe my 60 yr old ears going bad
Probably a backtrack!
Hi what amp are you using on this one?
He has an orange amp in the background although I am not entirely sure that is the one he is using in the video
I remember him saying that he uses his vypyr 100 on most of his songs although I may be wrong on this one
Hear hear
Just two riffs and they make so much out of it ... I will practice this myself soon, so thank you for the lesson, very helpful
I do believe you could play that for 20 minutes or more.
I envy your knuckles.
Glad I didn't get ricrolled
I don't understand.......problem in communication.............
Yeah then try and sing over that. 😏
After the first couple of tours, Plant kind of quit singing it. He eventually ended up just speaking the lyrics over the music. :)
Seriously some of the best lessons on here always much appreciated brother
