    Your awesome dude. You inspired me after 27 years away from the guitar then 4/5 months ago I picked it up after watching a bunch of your videos and I thank you for those. Some songs I watch to clarify if I'm doing it right. Sometimes if I can't figure something out and sometimes to fix my mistakes. Your go to go person. Plus the fact you inspired me and now 4/5 months later I feel like I'm better then I was 27 years ago, but I wasn't that good. You taught me a lot, Thank you and hopefully I'll get back on my feet soon enough. I don't know how it works, but obviously you make something on it and when I get back on my feet I'd like to help. For of all the people I see your helping including myself. Thank you. I don't know if you can respond and you probably have a video already answer what I'm about to ask. How long have you been playing if I can ask. Thank you be safe and God Bless.

    Hey James . Another great lesson. Quick question. On your Gibsons, do you have a preference on which humbucker pickups on your guitar.( 57’s, Burstbuckers etc) Just curious

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  3 роки тому

      I'm partial to Seymour Duncan 59s, but Classic 57s are outstanding. The only ones I'm not really fond of are 490/498s. They're a little muddy at the low end, for my tastes.

      @@eddymerckx9989 Oh, man. 1983 was probably Jimmy's low point in terms of his health (problems that were self-inflicted, it's relevant to note), which probably explains just how bad that performance is. That would be embarrassing for a high school kid at a talent show. Good grief, that's terrible.

    • @eddymerckx9989

      @@jamesjames9275 Jimmy never wanted to do the arms concert, he was only 6 to 10 weeks back playing after 2 years, having convinced Paul to form the Firm, which Paul did to stop another great mate dying from drugs. Clapton literally begged Paul to get Jimmy and himself to play. Rodgers words, he did it to save Jimmy, probably did. Paul Rodgers to this day can call Jimmy and he will be on the next plane. Not Jimmy's high point this concert, but as I said before, there are only 2 guitarists Eric has allowed to play slide on Layla since Duane, Derek being the other.Even at his worst Jimmy is still better than the rest of us mortals
