  • "When people hear the word engineering, they immediately think of a man. So when women, like me come along, people will often judge" - Ruthy Alick
Join us at the RoundTable as Jarah speaks with Ruthy Alick, a young Ni-Vanuatu woman and mother, who is currently working as a Site Supervisor at the Public Works Department.
She joins us on this episode to shine light on her experience working in a heavily male dominated job and her motivation to become a civil engineer. We hope this conversation highlights the importance to acknowledge and celebrate all the women working in male dominated spaces. Representation truly does matter, and we hope to see more women like Ruthy enter these spaces.
