You are spot on!!!! I'm a former police officer and a female. Women especially need to stop looking at their phones when out in public!!!!! Criminals see that and it makes you vulnerable! Just like you talked about....look around at people and make them see that you notice them! A criminal doesn't want to be seen. And trust your gut!!
This is how I have taught my children. When you are out, it is not the time to look at a phone or have earbuds impeding your hearing. Walk head up looking around and acknowledge every person who comes near you with a friendly "morning" or a nod. Take note of anyone who seems to be following you. This kept my daughter from being abducted while walking the dog. She ran into a construction site yelling Dad are you here which got the attention of every father working on that site.
I am 62, as a teenager when I got my driver's license, my mother taught me to always be aware of your surroundings. Look into your back seat before you get into the driver's seat. Carry your keys in your hand with the keys between your knuckles. Park near street lights or lights in parking lots. If you feel uncomfortable, have a male employee walk you to your car. I taught this to my 4 daughters and taught my sons to look out for their sisters and other females.
I want to say also watch out for each other. My husband while waiting for me in the car at Walmart while I ran in for something, saw someone who appeared to be intently watching people come out of Walmart. A young woman came out and was putting her groceries in her car. The man headed her way . My husband pulled the car up close to hers as if he was waiting for her parking spot. This caused the person stalking her to leave. My husband was her guardian angel that day and she didn't even know it.
Last June my 16 year old daughter and I were followed and photographed in Wal Mart. We were aware of it and asked to be escorted to our car. Police said “coyotes” were looking for young girls in our town to take. She asked to be enrolled in Krav that night. She is now a purple belt. Precautions and her safety are now in place.
Same thing happened to my daughter with 2 granddaughters going into Walmart. A young guy hanging around outside immediately came in behind them and started following them. Not safe anywhere now...
I tell my kids they will remember “pre-Covid” and “post-Covid”. It changed everything for the worst and we’re not going back. It’s stunning to me how carefree I used to be.
I’m a hiker. There’s predators everywhere even on the Appalachian Trail. Last week two men bullied a widow with her two children at a shelter then followed her and did it again but thankfully she was near a couple and they homed in on it and scared the bullies away. It’s so sad that even way out on remote trails we now have to be situationally aware of bad people. 😢
Last year, my husband and 2 of his friends hiked a small portion of the AT. One of his friends said there are a lot of young college aged girls who hike. My heart dropped. I am so grateful to all hikers who look out for the young, vunerable, and too-trusting among our society.
Patara Years ago I worked for a international accounting firm. My 3 year old son got rotavirus and ended up in the hospital for a week. I was going to the hospital every day to relieve my wife, all while my parents were watching our other child. My boss, who had no children, said he knew my son was in the hospital, but I needed to be spending more time in the office. I left that company within the next few weeks.
Patara, you're in the public eye and there will always be nit pickers. Most of us appreciate what you're doing. Keep the Faith, being strong is not easy.
Learned this back when my kids were sick late one night. Had to get cold med for them. Both in tow, went to store. A man followed us around the store. I caught it and had a clerk walk out with me. The man left never making a purchase.. After that I changed the routine of how I put the kids in the car. We had a van so I put both kids in and myself in one fell swoop. locked the doors and then put them in the car seats. Most importantly, I didn't take my kids to the store after dark alone. I agree look out for each other . Thanks Patara.
I once worked with a 25 yr. retired Houston Homicide Detective, he always said if a woman is abducted she should fight and never be taken to another location because 95 % will never be found alive. His name was Bobby.
I’m prior military and law enforcement. Great information just have one thing to add. When you enter a public place locate an exit and if possible sit facing the front door. If nothing happens Amen! If something happens you and your loved ones get a choice and chance😊
My husband retired marine, law enforcement, international police and he always sits with his back to a wall and faces the people. My husband has taught me how to be safe. Yes, it is everywhere now so be careful.
Only time I am alone is driving to and from work…. I finally got 7 am to 4 to avoid 5 o’ clock traffic on 240 Memphis, Tn… the shooting gallery !!! I arrive at work early 6:30 before traffic gets heavy. I willingly let people over so as to not get shot in Memphis. Cars in our parking lot were being broken into weekly; but finally my employer got extra security and I always walk out with someone with my keys in hand and phone in purse. Always looking around and between cars.
Lol it is 10 pm here and as I am getting in bed…. Hubby just checked in on me to ensure that I had at least half a tank… he is taking my truck to fill it up for me.
I do believe that we need to stop thinking things are like they used to be. People have been pushed to the brink with everything that has happened. Sadly, we can't think people around us have the best of intentions anymore. Good on you for continuing to try and wake people up 😊
DO NOT Await for your car to automatically lock the doors when you put it in drive. AS SOON AS YOUR BOOTY hits that seat and that door shuts HIT THE LOCK BUTTON!! Don’t be complacent!
I've had my head on a swivel for the past 50 years, ever since I was a teenager working at McDonald's and the store was robbed. I was thoroughly traumatized and have never stopped being aware of my surroundings ever since. It's served me well.
I was robbed at gunpoint when I was managing a flower shop. I was working alone. It was common back then on slow days. I was more pissed when it happened. I didn't fall apart until I was on the phone with 911 and put my hand in my purse to find out out my wallet was gone.
In Florida, we've had many elderly who have been robbed in their driveway after being followed home by Criminals, who then force them into the home, while the "partner" takes the stuff out of the car, the other one is robbing the house. It doesn't matter what State you're in, Criminals are everywhere!
Great information Patara. When I go shopping or getting gas I never being my purse outside. I put my card in my back pocket. I always look around and even under any large vehicles parked next to me. It's not being paranoid It's self awareness and just smart nowadays. P.S. When and if I go out to eat I never have my back towards the door.
Never ever sit in any restuarant with you back to any exit. That is one of my pet pees. I am a people watcher. I can read them like a book. Training is essential in an active situation.
🦁 I have a pepper spray canister, but I also carry something much hotter. I live in small town nowhere, and there are a lot of "new" people all of a sudden. Tempers are short, people are more aggressive. I'm 63 and not a large woman, but I've got a self preservation instinct that has served me well. Prayers for continued safety for all.
I take my big dog with me in the car. He's very protective of me and my vehicle. If I'm not in the vehicle my son can't get in nor mess with the vehicle. If someone is on the outing with me they are fine. I have no doubt if I showed fear he'd be right on them. I stopped breathing at home one time and that dog head butted me in the stomach and ribs til I took a breath. Now if I cough hard he's right there checking me.
I have one just like this - knows when I have a migraine incoming & makes me take meds & rest. Guards me constantly while I do. Goes everywhere with me and is my/my vehicle's guardian.
You are so right and this video is full of sound advice. I'm 65 years old and can attest that nothing is the way it used to be. Situational awareness is absolutely critical. I hike several miles a day in the early morning, never ceases to amaze me how so many people are jogging or walking with their earphones in listening to music or flipping through their phones. They're totallly oblivious to what's going on around them.
So many people are completely oblivious to their surroundings, it's scary! But this has been the plan all along, to get people hooked on technology, to the exclusion of all else.
Great advice Patera. I’ll be home alone for a bit while my husband travels and Ive already decided I will not venture out alone. Any stops will be for pickups or drive throughs. I can go browse when my hubs is back and with me. Some things I do: on body carry only! there are a bunch of holster options out there. I use several setups, depending on what I am wearing. Do not carry in a purse, that is the first thing bad guys/ gals will grab from you. Then they have all your possessions and your protection. Don’t carry a purse Into the store. Bring only what you need into the store with you. Keep phone hidden away. Keep keys in your hand around your knuckles or clipped to a belt loop. I try to even tuck them into a pocket too, just to keep safe. I wear a neck knife, tucked into my shirt and also a whistle. I carry pepper spray in my pocket. While shopping I walk briskly and rarely make eye contact. I do not chitchat with anyone. It’s OK to be rude. I do stay alert and aware to people around me. If I feel followed I get into a larger group of people or find a store employee to ask for help with something, even if I don’t really need help. I drive a large truck, so I do park further away from the store. I always pull through a spot, never back in, and I park where drivers side is facing the store and other cars. If store isn’t busy, I’ll take up more than one spot to hinder anyone parking directly beside me. I get into my vehicle quickly. Bringing all bags with me if possible and immediately, manually lock the doors, then situate myself and belongings. I also recommend tinted car windows. Once you’re safely locked inside it’s harder for you to be seen by anyone coming up to your car. Never roll down your window for anyone. Prayers of safety over us all.
On a side note: Tell James to stock up on hardware. Screwdriver clamps, nails, screws, fence staples, tape, and on and on. It is all made in other countries. Also spare parts for canners and plenty of lids for your jars.
I'm always telling people if their gut feeling tells them that if something about a situation looks, sounds or feels off to go ahead and trust their gut because it's most likely it's off.
Thanks for reminding us of this different world we find ourselves in. I’ve had two experiences that my best friend that’s ALWAYS with me saved my behind. Girls, there’s no time for a knight to ride in on a white horse to save you. We’re on our own. Hear me, we’re on our own. Take your best FRIEND EVERYWHERE YOU GO. I pray you never need it’s help, but , don’t be a victim. Patera , no excuses were called for at Walmart. Paranoia is a healthy condition at this time . Please listen ladies, this ain’t no joke.🙏
I work retail and it pisses my off when I have to peg items out as theft. It's gotten worse over the past year. It makes me sick that we can't be safe in our daily lives and work. Prayers for all!!!
Good video! My husband was in the military. When we first met I noticed that he was always aware of our surroundings. To this day he is the same and his head is always on a swivel just observing the surroundings. Thanks for reminding us to be safe!
I am in small town Nebraska and had gas siphoned from my old pickup. Got locking gas caps and have to lock everything up like Fort Knox which never used to be the case..be careful everyone. Thank you, Patera!
I carry my key like brass knuckles now! I survived an attempted kidnapping (where he attacked me with an ice pick & held it to my throat) back in 1971. I wouldn't go with him period and stood my ground Even with the ice picture my throat! In fact he had plans to chop me up according to the officers who caught him and pulled out the machete, knives, bags and tape. I was able to ID him when the cops arrested him! He served time.
Absolutely right, Patara! Always be aware of your surroundings. Know routes of ingress and egress. Have an escape route out of the area. Have the attitude that everyone is a “hostile” until proven otherwise. Be safe.
And another tip-if you think you are being followed while in your vehicle: NEVER GO HOME! Drive to a police station or fire station, quick care or hospital!
I had a similar situation with a male last week when I was at the Dollar tree. Every time I turned around he was right there. So I stopped with my back to the shelf and stood there watching. He then left. Good information.
I had a similar “feeling” in the Walmart garden section. I was going in to look at plants and noticed it was empty of people except two young (18-20 ish) men looking at cucumber plants on their skateboards. It seemed odd in the suburban area I live in. They were clearing out of place. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I turned my cart around and headed back out to the main store area. I couldn’t shake the heightened feeling of danger for most of the day. It made me realize how isolated and unsecured sections of stores can be. I am so much more aware now and thankful for gut intuition.
51 years ago today, my sister was 22. she was followed home by someone who waited til dark, went in her house and shot her in the head. we didn't find her remains for 18 months. evil has been here forever, its just ramping up, head on a swivel.
No one says "excuse me" when you walk behind people. There's gonna be haters on every video. Keep doing you mama! You're my new fav sub! Love your videos, info., and sense of humor. We're on the same page here ❤
Patara, I have been this way for years after being jumped as a teenager. I am in my 70's and still feel that. Plus I used to work in a highly congested area that was very risky. So everyone should be aware. It is not the 1950's anymore. Love your shows
I always look around closely before I get out of my car and go into it. My husband's pumps gas for me every Sunday. I always have my protection with me. I love your videos.
I live in a small town in central CA, and I work remote so when I do go out I have culture shock almost every time! Dark days, darker days ahead. Maranatha 💗🙏💗
Thank you, Patara! I’m used to being pretty aware, but now I will be extra careful. I especially won’t park next to cars with darkened windows, people in the drivers seat, parked backwards, panel vans and such. Having someone walk you to the car is a great idea.
You’re absolutely right about people casing you in stores and cars backing next to your vehicle. I actually witnessed this at a grocery store late at night. I used to work evenings. I went to the grocery store after work, when I parked a car backed in next to me and then the guy just sat there. I went into the store. I kept thinking about how creepy he looked.. why when there’s plenty of other places to park closer to the store? I asked someone to walk me out to my car and the guy took off..so I went to the end of parking lot and watched him and he again parked close to another car when he saw a woman get out by herself.. I went into the store and told them to call the police they said they would take care of it and I left because it was very late.
Agreed. I try to get around people unnoticed and with as little interaction as possible. If I can get around people, I don't say excuse me. If I can't get around them comfortably, then I will. There's always a backseat driver who thinks they have that 1 piece of sage advice🙄🤣
Thank you for this video Patara! I am always on alert when out especially by myself. I went to the local grocery store just Monday night and took notice of a guy just standing outside his vehicle looking my direction got in my vehicle quickly and locked the door. Then looked to my left and a man was getting in his vehicle looked my way and then pulled his concealed out to put into his vehicle like he was making sure I knew that with hopefully the best intentions of looking out for me. I need to start carrying but I am definitely not as comfortable as I should be with one. But definitely made me think that I need to be.
Nothing is like it use to be anymore. Sex trafficking is super bad around here, they work in a group of 3 different look outs. I'm glad that your okay from your trip out, and like you said you have to be aware of your surroundings every minute. Thanks for caring and passing on, your an angel 😇
The more your platform grows and the more you have a recognizable face, the more diligent you must be. The WORLD IS DIFFERENT for all of us. Stay safe ❤
Times are changing and NOT for the better either. When I go out in my YARD, and I live in the country, I carry my friend and scope out our land as far as I can see. I'm usually taking my boy Mason out to potty. I watch his reaction when we are out there as well. When I go shopping my husband is with me and so is my friend. My husband stays in the truck and I go in to do the shopping BUT I scope the parking lot out and the inside of the store as well. I've been doing this for about 5 -7yrs now. Much Love and Blessings to you and your family Patara and Everyone here. 🙏💜🩷💚💜🩷💚💜🩷💚🙏
Oh yes!! People case stores, for sure! And now that there are so many “Bluetooth headsets” the wearer of the headset can be conversing with a person in the parking lot, about a lone shopper. I have heard this; and went to bat for the elderly gentleman the “they” were conspiring against. The popo was even called. I think at first the elderly gentleman thought I was looney tunes; but hey, he was safe! Your spidey senses need to be listened to at all times! I have had an eye removed, so I am very vigilant in surveilling my area! I use everything around me-other cars windows and bumpers, chrome rims and mirrors; watch in store windows-using what they reflect, to alert me. I scan vehicles as I walk in a business to see if there are people sitting in said vehicles. When I get gas, I keep my back to the vehicle, and watch all around… I make eye contact with people. My hubby works out of town pretty much all week; and we recently moved-so I shop alone. Being aware can save your life, or someone else’s life. LOL, Patara I probably would have turned to that lady in $1.25 Tree and said in a rather loud voice- “hey can I help you find something? Things have been moved around a bit since I worked here, but we can get some help?” The raised voice and the curiosity of the other employees wondering who was here that worked here before, would bring attention to that lady too-but I’m kind of an in your face person when it comes to peeps being in my bubble! Being a victim has made me bolder! (Not giving advice to you at all, just what my pea picking self would have probably done!) Love your vids-look forward to them every day-in between staying busy!!! God Bless!
I've been in the communications business for almost 24 years, specifically radio broadcasting. It's been so weird since the beginning of 2020!!! People no longer listen, and people that I've known for years no longer make any sense. Except for my in laws who have never made sense 😂. I thought it was just me, but now I think it's happening everywhere
Thanks Patara for the warnings! It is the society we live in now unfortunately!!! And women, never ever, get into a situation where you're pulled/pushed into someone's vehicle, fight, scream, gouge, kick, fight some more!!
My husband (of 44 years) always pumps my gas but sometimes I have to do it myself. I always know my surroundings, I know exactly who is around me, I know exactly my vulnerable spots and I always carry my “friend” with me……..training is so important……it helps you understand the dangers that are around you……and how to protect yourself.
My husband is a marine and he has hopped at me for years to always be aware of my surroundings always be on my watch even before any of the events that are happening now. Makes lotta sense.
WRT THE REEL YOU MENTIONED: If this ever happens to you, please call the police instead of asking an employee to escort you. My reasoning is if they’re doing this, you’re not their first. They need to be questioned, not just run off.
Thank you Patara, for keeping us informed. I’m an 80 yr. old great gma, and have noticed so many times shopping in stores, especially, grocery stores, that women leave their purses in their shopping carts and just wander off! It only takes a second for someone to snatch that purse & leave the store. I have even, in a nice way, told women to never leave their purses alone. Most people will thank me, but a few have said nothing & give you the “LOOK!” Blessings girl, keep up the good work!👍🏻💕🙏🏻🇺🇸
Solid advice, Patara! I'm close to a young man who is a big-truck driver. Just last week he stopped at a well known place for sandwiches. A man had been lurking near the entrance, and when this driver exited the sandwich shop, the lurking man jumped him from behind. The attacker tried to choke the driver and bring him down. In THIS situation it happened that the driver ended up taking down his attacker - there is much to be said for being in shape, and this driver often unloads the freight he hauls. However, THIS happy ending is NOT typical of so many crimes that we see on the news. I knew the place of the (above) attack well, back when my husband was driving a big rig. We'd stopped there often, and back then, it was considered a reasonably safe place. No More! Time has brought horrible changes in terms of public safety. Sadly, drivers, a huge part of the backbone of America, can be targets for highjackings. That fact has become a standard part of training for the job. In the (above) attack, the dispatched officers told the driver that they'd dealt with the attacker before, and that he'd pulled a knife on a previous driver. In THIS situation, the attack was caught on camera, and the attacker was arrested.
Thank you for sharing Patara. I appreciate you circling back on this. Situational awareness and Our Women’s intuition will save our lives. Always be aware. You are spot on. Stay safe. Blessings to you and all here. Great lessons to learn from you and others ❤
Very good reminder, Patera. I am always on high alert at the gas station and I’m usually scanning parking lots and aisles but there are times I get focused on what I’m looking for or at and forget to look up and around so again, a good reminder. I’m constantly telling my DH to stay alert but he just doesn’t- it’s frustrating so I showed him your video- maybe it’ll help. Being aware is for men, women, children.
Oh my gosh, thank you for this. I live alone and have to do everything alone except on the weekends when my daughter is available. You’ve really opened my eyes and I’m going to be much more cautious now.
Welcome to living how we live in South Africa. Always looking over your shoulder and being suspicious of almost every person around you all the time. Never leave your purse/ handbag unattended in your shopping cart, never your family, always look around and be aware of the people and the area and potential problems. It’s crazing moving into this mindset, but here we all are now. Be safe everyone. Thank you Patara for your videos
Bless you for sharing your experiences and helping others recognize potential a threat. People have changed. I am very aware of my surroundings when I get gas, go into the store and go out and driving home. I pay attention with my head up looking around. Terrible things have happened to my family and sadly we are changed forever. Please keep doing and talking. I appreciate you very much. Be safe!!!
I have not been in a Wal Mart store in about 6 years. The last time I went, it was about 8pm and I looked around me and wondered what part of the woodwork the people around me crawled out of. I felt very uncomfortable. Haven't been back. If I need something from Wal Mart I order it and have it delivered.
I tell ya , they are getting brave !! I hate to go anywhere alone anymore, it’s sad to be scared to go outside, or to the store , or wherever! I always pray when I have to go out , please Lord keep me safe & bring me home ❤
Patara, my father was born during the depression. The only child of two immigrants from Ireland and Poland. My father at 19 yrs old went to the Korean war. He came home and had 5 children which I'm the youngest. We went catholic schools, church every Sunday. My father worked 2 jobs, my mother 1. I spent alot of time with my grandparents who instilled their life experiences in me. I truly believe they made me who I am today. People have turned a blind eye towards God, I just hope they are ready for what's coming.
Here in north Tx. Bought lg bag of cat food. Loading in the back of my truck. Looked up and an elderly man came up to help me. Then hit me up for money. Gave him a couple bucks and considered it a cheap payment for realizing that I was vulnerable and to keep my eyes open. This goes for men and women. We are in troubled times. Thanks for your instructions. 💃
Unfortunately I do have to go it alone to grocery stores , gas stations, doctor appointments etc. But, I am always mindful of my surroundings. Sometimes I don’t even carry my purse. I use to carry a medium/ large handbag but not anymore. Thank you for the information on keeping our guard up at all times. 24/7
We live in a small town mostly farmland etc. when you call for an appointment to see our dr. There is a recording saying no foul language will be tolerated. Then the last time I was there they had signs up saying no violence will be tolerated. So I finally asked my nurse who is a bit older and she said yes people have been shoved cursed at. She said they show up in pajamas and are dirty. There is no respect. There in the problem. No respect any longer plus this crazy world equals mayhem. Be on your toes people
Love you Patara ❤ I had to go to the store today and I am paying more attention to my surroundings. The people who listen to you appreciate everything you say because we are in agreement. Never mind the ones with hateful intentions. We don't have time for that. I've always said that misery loves company and we don't have to participate in that. Keep being yourself Wonderfully and beautifully made by God ❤
Aww. Love your kitties! Thanks for sharing them. 😊. You are right, many people are on edge. We are debating leaving PA, but it’s hard to think about starting over somewhere new at our age!
I feel the same about my home Portland Oregon after I had my third baby I told myself you can't raise these babies here Portland was a beautiful place with lovely hippies and great people now be warned don't move there please Portland is gone
"Excuse me, passing behind you." Not necessary but courteous. I've just done that for years, that's just me. At the gas station, I lock my vehicle and pocket my key. Head on a swivel. A gas soaking can be a real deterrent too. 😂
Growing up my dad was a cop and my brother was a very aware individual. I was taught to be aware of what's going on around me. I have had a few questionable situations that could have ended badly but by the Grace of God, didn't.
Thank you for what you do. You have made an incredible difference in my life. I know that seems very dramatic, however it is the truth. Watching your videos has galvanized my resolve to take better care of myself and prepare for things to come. I've thought these things for years and put it off. I'm not where I need to be but it least I'm on the right path! I hope you have a wonderful day. Take care.
I totally agree with you. I am 75 yrs old and I went shopping to Wal-Mart and when I wheeled my cart over to my truck and while I was opening the door, 2 people ran up to my cart and grabbed some bags of groceries and ran away , I couldn't stop them or chase them , they got in a car that was waiting for them and drove away . If my son would have been with me it probably wouldn't have happen , I don't shop alone anymore.
I was active duty in the service in the 60's after which I married a wonderful RN nurse that worked in ER. She never liked that I was a licensed concealed carry. She knew how to shot as her dad was a Marine vet from WWII. She changed her mind about people carrying after one night a nurse walked out of work in front of her at about 2:30 AM and some low life smashed a glass bottle over the gals head that was less than 30 feet in front of her. She got her CC permit and carried it and she organized the staff to wait at the door until a group could walk out together. People learn to be aware of your surroundings, it can be a hard lesson to learn.
Just don’t stare at people directly in their eyes. You can cause a fight that way esp living in NY 😂

Fewer law enforcement and more drugs in rural areas.

And if you feel a car is following you, don't go home.....drive to the police station or some other place that has plenty of people.
Iam 63 & I was taught to be aware of my surroundings also. BLESSINGS to you & your family
Absolutely!! 💯 👍 Agreed
I want to say also watch out for each other. Same thing happened to my daughter with 2 granddaughters going into Walmart. A young guy hanging around outside immediately came in behind them and started following them. Not safe anywhere now...
Wow! I'm so glad that you guys noticed & that you asked to be escorted to your car.
I tell my kids they will remember “pre-Covid” and “post-Covid”. It changed everything for the worst and we’re not going back. It’s stunning to me how carefree I used to be.

It’s so sad that even way out on remote trails we now have to be situationally aware of bad people. 😢
That is scary and heartbreaking....

Time for target practice! Starting in 30 days, 500K-700K unvetted illegals are allowed in every month...
Last year, my husband and 2 of his friends hiked a small portion of the AT. One of his friends said there are a lot of young college aged girls who hike. My heart dropped. I am so grateful to all hikers who look out for the young, vunerable, and too-trusting among our society.
Patara
Years ago I worked for a international accounting firm.
Amen to that.
Absolutely!!
Agreed 💯
When I go to a restaurant, I never feel comfortable sitting with my back to the door. I was even like before, but now even more so!
My Fiancé always has to sit facing the front door whenever we go to a restaurant.
My husband always faces the door.
My husband retired marine, law enforcement, international police and he always sits with his back to a wall and faces the people. My husband has taught me how to be safe. Yes, it is everywhere now so be careful.
I don’t pump gas anymore, my husband or one of my sons will take my truck and fill her up when needed. They take very good care of me. ❤
Me too. I don't go grocery shopping or anywhere alone. I'm either with my husband (of 52 years) or our daughter.
Youre lucky you have men. .

Good on you for continuing to try and wake people up 😊
The NWO plan is to de-stabilize, de-nationalize and de-Christianize.
Hi Patarra, enjoy your videos
DO NOT Await for your car to automatically lock the doors when you put it in drive. AS SOON AS YOUR BOOTY hits that seat and that door shuts HIT THE LOCK BUTTON!! Don’t be complacent!
You're absolutely right, I've started doing this, don't always remember though, got to get better.
Yes absolutely
EXACTLY!
It has become automatic with me, now I don't even think about it anymore. Butt-click.
Also start the car and put it in gear before you do anything else like the seat belt. You might need to peel out quickly.
I've had my head on a swivel for the past 50 years, ever since I was a teenager working at McDonald's and the store was robbed. I was thoroughly traumatized and have never stopped being aware of my surroundings ever since. It's served me well.
I was robbed at gun point at a 711 while working. It sucks 😔
I was robbed while working at Mobil in 1991. Huge wakeup at 19.
I had my purse stolen 16 years ago while I was doing the girls hair, cop found drugs on her and she was arrested, found my purse in a mall trash can😠
I was robbed at gunpoint when I was managing a flower shop. I was working alone. It was common back then on slow days. I was more pissed when it happened. I didn't fall apart until I was on the phone with 911 and put my hand in my purse to find out out my wallet was gone.
My apartment door was kicked in and I and my son were held at gunpoint a few years back. Head is ALWAYS on a swivel now.
Its not paranoia. Its self-preservation.
In Florida, we've had many elderly who have been robbed in their driveway after being followed home by Criminals, who then force them into the home, while the "partner" takes the stuff out of the car, the other one is robbing the house. It doesn't matter what State you're in, Criminals are everywhere!
OMG, how insanely scary!
I'm in FL and have family in various counties. Can you give an area for reference? Nearest big city? Thank you.
People can be so rude. Not the way I was raised. It’s dangerous times. Take care.

Sounds like an awesome protector! I need to get me a dog.
Situational awareness is always very important. Predators looks for people that are distracted or not aware of their surroundings.
"Don't be the easiest target" is maybe the easiest first-line of defense.
You just shared a bunch of great ideas, thank you !

On a side note: Tell James to stock up on hardware. Screwdriver clamps, nails, screws, fence staples, tape, and on and on. It is all made in other countries. Also spare parts for canners and plenty of lids for your jars.

Good video! My husband was in the military. When we first met I noticed that he was always aware of our surroundings. To this day he is the same and his head is always on a swivel just observing the surroundings. Thanks for reminding us to be safe!
My step dad was in the military, and he always talked to my sister and me growing up, and taught us to always be aware.
My husband is the same way
My husband is the same way. He's not a big guy but he's scrappy and has that don't eff with me look. He gives off body guard vibes when we're out. LOL
I am in small town Nebraska and had gas siphoned from my old pickup. Got locking gas caps and have to lock everything up like Fort Knox which never used to be the case..be careful everyone. Thank you, Patera!
Being aware is better than being a victim
Yessss!!! That’s right
Nebraska just passed Constitutional carry!!!! So happy. 27th state to do so. Very proud of my state.

I agree...I'm always cautious about the vehicles, not just next to me, but around me.
Yay! A new video! You are a woman after my own heart! Thank you so much for all you do!

Things have been moved around a bit since I worked here, but we can get some help?”
The raised voice and the curiosity of the other employees wondering who was here that worked here before, would bring attention to that lady too-but I’m kind of an in your face person when it comes to peeps being in my bubble! WRT THE REEL YOU MENTIONED: If this ever happens to you, please call the police instead of asking an employee to escort you. My reasoning is if they’re doing this, you’re not their first. They need to be questioned, not just run off.
In theory that works great, but a week later when the police turn up the criminals will be long gone. But yes, in an ideal world I agree.
You can absolutely do BOTH. Trust your gut!
Thank you for pointing that out. Times are changing..THANK YOU❤ That was ODD. BE AWARE.

Thank you, Patera. I try to always be vigilant when out and about, but sometimes we forget and just do our thing. Thank you for the reminders.
Thank you Patera. Your chanel is a BLESSING!!!
