It wasn't a Raimi thing though. The 90s animated series also gave Uncle Ben that same line and was one that the comics probably incorporated onto the character before the Raimi movies.

This was amazing, you really make it easier to understand comic story lines
Also it still bothers me till this day that Peter parker and mayday parker mentioned they met each other in some story but if memory serves me well and it does I don't remember 616 peter parker meeting his daughter mayday parker spider-girl in any story unless of course they reference the spider-girl mayday parker series where she traveled back in time to her father's past but that doesn't make any sense because I always assumed that wasn't earth 616 but mc2 timeline did I miss something here, but hey that's just my opinion if people disagree cool more power to them I won't stop them.
I would assume that the MC2 universe is branched from the main Marvel Universe in which Mayday Parker traveled back in time to the main Marvel universe and teamed up with a version of her father to fight crime or something.
@@joshuaingobo1559 that could be the case but I read her original series and I don't remember her ever landing on earth 616, because when she went back in time in her own series I assumed she landed in her own earth's past to meet her dad as his younger self, but if that's not the case anymore that raises even more questions and doesn't make any sense.
I agree with the going back to the original timeline idea. Remember every time a new universe is created it’s because someone or some thing deviated from the original time line. Is if she traveled back far enough she would eventually go back to before that deviate happened
@@drewmartin1104 yeah that’s true and you’re right about that and honestly if they are really going with the of idea of mayday Parker spidergirl meeting her father in the past in the original timeline before it diverged I can buy that to a extent but that raises even more questions, like wait what how did mayday Parker met her father in the past of 616 Peter Parker doesn’t recognize mayday as his future daughter that Bugs the heck out of so many levels that it ain’t even funny. But that’s just my opinion on that entire subject as a whole.
