I was in Kalgoorlie from 2002ish for 6 years living on hay st , all 3 of the brothels were active then , but apparently the fun time were just prior to my arrival , with the lines fro that brothel went around the block . Kalgoorlie was sort of treated like a special area zone where the laws of Australia were watered down a bit but that change and the place got sanitised in around 2008 or so a new Chief cop decided to crack down on the silliness . RIP the Kal i Knew .
I grew up in Kambalda, some 50km south of Kalgoorlie. When I was in year 6 or 7 we were taken to Kalgoorlie to see a stage play, the Sound of Music, at Kalgoorlie Hall, we sat upstairs.
This is how far behind in videos we are oops. Hopefully we shall run into you on our next travels. We hope you are both well and of course the dogs 🐕 🐶
Great episode guys. We spend 4 weeks in Kalgoorlie in September. John seamed a little upset with the tour brothel but really you spent $70 and got screwed. Seems like good value. Just out the road towards Coolgardie is a memorial to 2 policeman that were murdered which has an interesting story. Travel safe guys.
My Dad worked in the super pit and my mum worked in an old pub in KAL, I was about 6. My son started work in the super pit last year. The miners dug a tunnel from the put to the pub so they could have a direct route to the boozer 🤣.
No..not heard that. Our last visit to Kalgoorlie turned us off going again. Crazy lot there. Drivers and people, the ones we call locals. Town was dirty, lots of cars in the street but nothing in the way of buildings open. As for the Drone, won’t be taking ours on holidays again. Too many restrictions. Super Pit is awesome, would liked to have done a tour of that.
Thanks for watching, Kalgoorlie isn't for everyone that's for sure. We actually didn't mind it there although it was considered the low season at that time.
Wow what an amazing video one off the best ive ever viewed and so informative , yep Kalgoorlie has some beautiful amazing buildings and very rich in history , its amazing what went on in that town
Somebody was tipping paint over Paddy Hannnan's Statue, on new years eve back in the 80's as i remember, more than once i think, so they moved it inside the town hall and put a replica out the front...- Then someone cut the new one's head off with an angle grinder, just last year.
Yes I've heard of the Coke thing. I remember in high school people thought it was a thing. I remember one of our friends telling me that she didn't have any coke so she had used Creaming Soda! lol. A very sticky situation I would have thought! I also remember about 10 years ago seeing a day spa advertising that they offered "Champagne Douches" as one of their treatments. lol. Oh.................and one last thing!.......................I think it was a working brothel....................I mean $70!................you got screwed in there!
I thought your husband was a bit too excited about seeing the brothel and very disappointed when he realised he wasn’t going to be seeing the working girls in their environment. It was the icky part of the whole video.
Sorry you thought that. We were both keen to see the workings of the brothel and to chat to the girls about their life as you can in other countries. No different to chatting to workers in any other industry. What we were disappointed about was the fact that this is advertised as a working brothel, yet it is not. Anyway, thanks for watching

Well that would have been an interesting time to live in Kalgoorlie. The streets would have been bustling. Thanks for watching

You're absolutely right, that was a bit of a rip-off. 😂 and definitely screwed over lol. Thanks for watching.

That’s a funny story, I bet the miners were happy with that shortcut! Thanks for watching!

It is so sad that people destroy things that are not theirs. I can't write on here what I think about them lol. Thanks for watching

The coke bottle trick worked better with Mentos, the fresh maker
OMG yes lol, thats so funny. Thanks for watching
101 ways to use Coke Cola 😳🤣
Haha the list keeps getting bigger lol
sorry about john's adverse reactions to heights. I always say, god made me tall so I don't have to climb ladders. Is that John's excuse as well.🤣🤣
Hhahahaha he says he is 6ft 5 lol but no..... he isnt and cant use that excuse lol. Thanks for watching
