it was best real life tips about traveling on youtube well done . we are 43 year married while we travel l drive and cook and clean and set up and wife sits and looks pretty it work well for us we travel in a motor home
Great tips. Me and she who must be obeyed have been full time travellers for many years and can relate to most of what you discussed. It is a fantastic life but it would not be for everyone. Safe travels
SUBSCRIBED!! Such real advice for long life partners. Married 39 years and we rely on each other's strengths teaching each other along the way so jobs can be interchangeable for efficiency and emergencies. Well oiled machines... but honestly we are crap at swapping our roles when backing the van 😀 but we keep practising.
@@KSmith-ez3dh ha ha. Yes backing the van is one of the biggest challenges. Haven’t hit anything, or anyone so far. And yes that is a good point about learning each others roles. We will bring that up in a future episode when we talk about the time Rose’s brother had an incident where his wife couldn’t drive their car. And thanks for the tip about jewellery, we actually have a bead shop in our home town and that might be a good option.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. It really helps with us planning our own future travels. Learn to play Canasta. Excellent card game to master! Or Mahjong. As for crafts; why don’t you take up crazy quilting or slow stitching. No experience required. Heaps of UA-cam info on how to get started. You can op shop for supplies on your travels. You can go as small as inchies, twinchies; thrinchies or any size you like. You don’t need to know any stitch but a running stitch to get started. Try your hand at macrame. Leatherwork. Journaling. There’s a gazillion types of handicrafts out there to try while travelling. UA-cam is invaluable if you want to learn a new skill. Try your hand at watercolours. Love your channel.
@@KC-nb3st thanks for those tips. We will look into those. We do a lot of op shops as they are great for clothing to suit the area you are in as well as books and DVDs
Can I suggest making jewelry, oil diffusers for your rear vision mirror, decorations for the van, or keychains? There are a variety of different styles such as beads, crochet, felt. If this peaks your interest google your preference. You can get a start on your gifts 😀
@@cathbp4089 thank you. We usually just point the camera and see what happens. We never really know what we are going to get but glad that some seem to get enjoyment from what we do.

@@TomWilding1 not sure what it’s called. First to 500. Get 7 cards and have to make straights or three of a kinds until you can go out. Could be Rummy or Cooncan 500. We then do best of 5 to decide a champion. If Rose wins I’ll hear about it for weeks. If I win I hear about it for weeks. 😁😖
@@stevendavies1160 Thanks for the comment. We actually had a big laugh about that very subject prior to recording. Nearly every movie finished the hero marrying the girl after the girl was hard done by the villain. I have two daughters and both are like their mum in that they are strong willed women and certainly don’t need men to ‘save’ them. Rose sat through every movie and actually enjoyed them, nearly as much as I did. 😁
@ it’s okay Tony, Rose was joking about the John Wayne movies where pretty much every woman had to be rescued and the hero married the ‘helpless’ female in the end in nearly every movie in the boxed set. It was similar with many other movies from the old days. I think he might have missed Rose’s cheeky laugh at the end of that bit. We had quite a laugh while watching the movies especially with how society has changed and women are now treated with more respect for what they can do and not weak hysterical people that had to be saved all the time. I’m sort of used to her wacky sense of humour and randomness. I won’t edit the movie to take out the comment. We rarely do second takes. We certainly don’t script anything. I just normally switch the camera on and see what happens. We might use the wrong words occasionally but we both understand each other enough to know the true meanings. Life is like that. 😁 Hope you enjoyed the vid.
@@Explornationsthat’s what I was saying I didn’t see any misogyny etc. I just saw banter between two people who clearly love and comfortable after 48 years!

The Royal Flying Doctor podcasts are really good to listen to while travelling.

What I've found is issues stem from different standards. X wants clean, Y doesn't care. Y wants order, X doesn't care etc..
