Yeah I didn't even know we have volcanoes here. And the earthquakes aren't a BIG threat especially compared to places with hurricanes/tornados. I'd rather have my house shake my 3 times a year for 10 - 20 seconds than move to those areas.
The only volcanoes I'm worried about are the liberal politicians spewing their hypocrisy and ignorance. And Texans wonder why there is such a mass exodus from California. LOL. Sorry Texas, not all of us are liberal sheep.
@Trumpenstein I texas does have lower tax rates, lower homelessness, is easier to start a business, has a freer economy, and the average person has more buying power. Ca might be good for rich folks but texas is the place where someone small can make it somewhere big on their own.
It's really not pathetic how is that Texas's fault. It's just Texas's location. Don't go around ranking states on weather when Cali has the most incompetent governor I've ever seen. Austin Martín Hernández yeah, it’s true they use gun control to get votes. I lived in Texas for four years and now live in California. Yes... California has worse and worse wild fires ravaging both Northern and Southern California and the smoke has been especially bad these last couple of years. The freeways are crowded most of the day. Cost of living is higher than most areas of the country. Those are some of the negatives of California. Texas on the other hand has mosquitoes the size of horse flies. The summers usually run from early May until October and can be brutally hot and humid. The humidity is what saps the life out of you. The landscape is mostly flat (nice around Austin). I would not call Texas a beautiful state. Freeways are almost always crowded and the state has been very slow to ramp up mass transit. The mantra in Texas is every man has the right to drive his truck or suv. It is a conservative state (except for Austin). Don't cut someone off on the freeway or you can easily be road raged with a gun pointed at you. I had a friend who was falling behind on his rent and even though he told his landlord that he will be caught up within 30 days, he came home to find his front door removed. There are little protections for citizens in Texas unless you want a gun or go to church. California has a coastline like no where in the world. You can go from Southern California sandy beaches that stretch for miles to a rocky coastline in the northern part of the state where you can see whales migrating north of south. The wine country feels like you are in France or Italy... the Sierra mountains feel like you are in Switzerland... The weather is amazing. Warm, "DRY" summers with literally no humidity to mild winters in the south to cooler winters in the north. If you want snow, you need to travel to the mountains where you can snow ski all winter. Yes, California has problems but there is no comparison. I am the happiest I have ever been living in this beautiful, amazing state.
Let’s think about the massive people moved to Texas 2020 and had to go through THE WINTER 2021 omg 😱 everything frozen with no electricity..., in California, you can last summer without air conditioner and winter without heater if you have to. If you have money with tax sheltered income ( very high tax state), I think it’s the best place to live perhaps in the world. We, as Californians are fighting to keep this state safe from crazy politicians ( recall governor ) in an effort to not completely go down the drain ..., bc we love this state in spite of high cost of living.
Yea i visited both California and Texas in google street view and the nature of California is just ridiculous , it's super sad that these forest fires keep happening .
As a Texan I lived in California for my high school years and some middle school. Horrible education and drought. Too expensive and too much gang activity. When I went to Hollywood and San Francisco. I was shocked at the dirtiest and the huge population of homelessness. Didn’t feel safe at all. I have opposing political beliefs so in high school the kids were awful and treated me horribly. Poor housing. Too crowded at the beaches. I rather be bite by big ass mosquitos. Live in the heat ( I got pool, I’m good). I know how to handle the “crazy road rage”. @@ashleymay6232 Texas doesn’t have better education though. It’s ranked 34th and California is ranked 20th. And California also has a lower housing and property tax then Texas, which proves your only taking your “real experiences” from the media as the majority of California taxes are put into consumption.
5:35 I would also mention that the place initially named California is way south of California, the the conquistadors first landed at La Paz in Baja California Sur (basically Cabo) after navigating across the Gulf of California, as they made their way up they didn't find the connection to continental New Spain (the peninsula is crazy long, something like 700 miles) so they assumed it was an island. When they arrived they saw the natives wearing pearls so they remembered the story of a rich island ruled by a black queen called Calafia herself, California derived from there.

More polite, and driving is #1 in Texas!! People wave say hello, pull over when you turn your blinker on. Homeless people are not at every corner, laid back, and we dont call 911 cause we carry!!
How many of you have actually lived in both states for any length of time? I have lived in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and had a beach house on Padre Island. In California, East LA, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and now Pacific Palisades. If you have done well in life and made a little money, NO QUESTION California is better. There is no quality of life ANYWHERE in Texas (in addition to living there I've been all over that state East to West North to South over 20 years there) that comes close to Pacific Palisades CA. Now if you are an hourly wage earner or a working/middle class 9 to 5 person, you'll do better economically in Texas because the cost of living is so much cheaper. But if you've got some money or a solid six figure annual income - Texas on the whole does not touch California. That's just the bottom line truth.
@Jeff Dunn ... great comments!! I moved to California in my 20’s but I’ve traveled through and have done business in Texas over the years. You’re right, if one has the means ... California has the most to offer for quality of life, by a long shot!!
It depends what you want your life to be like. I liked the coast of California but it's not the same if you live in the country part of Texas. Some people enjoy different lives.
@Derppotato person ... you are absolutely right! Life is full of choices. Personally, I chose to be where it seldom gets above 85 Deg or lower than 55, there is incredible geography and geology (ocean, mountains, lakes, desert, lava tubes, geysers), surfing AND skiing, multi-cultural cuisine, the wine country, world renown diverse music, nine national parks (more than any other state), championship sports teams (all four major sports, 47 total championships), the tallest trees on the planet (Redwood National Forest), the largest trees on the planet (giant sequoias), the oldest trees on the planet (ancient bristlecone pine forest), access to the freshest produce in America (we feed America), world renown architecture and engineering, many of the best Universities and museums in the nation ... oh, and did I mention the weather here in my state? Choices indeed!
I lived in San Diego, CA for over Six years and have been all over California. I've lived in Fort Worth, TX for now over Thirty years and have been all over Texas. CALIFORNIA IS BY FAR THE BETTER STATE - Way prettier, beaches are far superior, Way more to do. And Texas has Many very hot days ! The ONLY thing Texas is better at is a Way lower cost of living and That is why I'm here.
Fun fact, El Paso doesn't have any professional sports team. So when its football season, they cheer for the "home team" the Dallas Cowboys, even though the Phoenix and the AZ Cardinals are geographically closer.
@@CalebHammerComposer did a six week training in Austin. Its weird (to keep with the CoC slogan) but you are still reminded that you're in Texas. El Paso, because of its proximity to Ciudad Juerez Mexico and Las Cruces NM and the fact that its a full eight hours from the nearest major TX city, does not feel at all like Texas. Heck I had a friend in Ft. Worth comment when I lived in El Paso that he "forgets sometimes that El Paso is in Texas."
Graduated HS in San Antonio and joined the Navy and sent to Vietnam in 1965. When I retired went back to Texas and lasted 10 months but Texas pride and Christian blue laws were so offensive I went back to California. My family still in Texas (3 children, 11 grand children and 3 great grand children) but I won't live where guns are a cult following worse than Christian Nationalism. Texas is proud of its racist heritage as most of the South. My father was from Oklahoma, home of the Tulsa race massacre in 1921 and the debacle of the American Indian such as the Osage tribe in eastern Oklahoma in 1923.

No clue. All I know is that was one of our conditions to being annexed.
Texas was and still is a Republic, which means its still basically its own country. As such, it is on equal footing with the rest of the United States as a country, hence the Lone Star on the flag.

Fun fact, El Paso doesn't have any professional sports team. So when its football season, they cheer for the "home team" the Dallas Cowboys, even though the Phoenix and the AZ Cardinals are geographically closer.
More than Austin??
jason leftridge El Paso would fit into NM better
@@CalebHammerComposer did a six week training in Austin. Its weird (to keep with the CoC slogan) but you are still reminded that you're in Texas. El Paso, because of its proximity to Ciudad Juerez Mexico and Las Cruces NM and the fact that its a full eight hours from the nearest major TX city, does not feel at all like Texas. Heck I had a friend in Ft. Worth comment when I lived in El Paso that he "forgets sometimes that El Paso is in Texas."
I heard the Hotel California is a lovely place. I want to visit Disneyland
I hate that song, though. I've been across the street from Disneyland many times, but never actually in the park.
@@iammrbeat but that solo in the end is pretty sick tho
Kim Jong-un are you feeling okay?
Mr. Beat why don’t you like hotel California is lit 🔥
Kim Jong-un CHILD LOVER🤡👽
As someone who has lived in both states, I can honestly say they are both great places to live in.
Funny how Americans used to be the ilegal immigrants to Mexico😅.
