I use a Harder and Steenbeck Ultra and Evolution and I really do like the Black Widow. Took a couple hours to get used to the trigger difference but I am a fan so far. All, the 1 year ($15) and 2 year ($18) warranty’s are 100% worth it. No questions asked and I even asked if the warranty covers the paint on the gun itself and they said it does. Good news for anyone worried about the paint fading or having issues long term with solvents/cleaner/thinners. Overall I agree it’s def worth the money.
Following up, I bought the Black Widow based on your review and not disappointed at all. Even my brothers who are professional airbrush artists said it was a pretty good airbrush.
I bought one of these and generally agree with your review. It seems you can get parts, although the instructions are vague. You do get a schematic and full part number list. I haven't found any issues and it. Sprays lacquer paints well. I use a Grex Tritium, Ammo Aircobra, Sparmax and Gunze brush, and this one is comparable if not better than some in spray quality. Workmanship is a little coarse. I'm happy with it for the price
I just picked this up. Its nice. The trigger on my iwata eclipse is so smooth after pulling this one. I think im going to polish the ball it rolls on to make it smoother.
After trying this out i took it back. The trigger is terrible for fine detail work. There is a noticeable lag both before paint flows and when you release. There is so much play in the trigger its literally impossible to do fine detail work with it. I used the money that i got back from this and just bought a sotar 2020 since ive wanted one for ages.
Bought me one cause its a new brand and modal make and i believe it was time for a new brand. Glad i made the purchase thanks for the video and its awareness
I believe with these removable cups that you can keep the cup off for fine detail work and put some drops right in so there is no obstruction of your view.
I bought me one today and I was very excited to use it and it just kept pushing air out of it. I hit the throttle and it didn’t matter. I don’t understand it.
You also wont get fine lines unless you renove the cao andbget really close. This is with all airbrushes. Those lines arent even close to as small as they can be even with a .3
Man you made my day! Guys at work keep asking what brand they should buy and I've been steering them towards the badger patriot but the price keeps going up on them.
Nice looking airbrush for the money however the lack of being able to buy needles and nozzles o rings and seals will prevent me from buying it. needles and nozzles usually can get damaged and having extras on hand is a must.
Airbrushes do make a difference, I just started using an Iwata Eclipse (about $130.00) and wow, light years better than my Gahlerri Ace or Paasche Talon.
@@TheCreativeCollector The biggest thing I noticed was the precision of the trigger, the control you have over the amount of paint released is the biggest difference, very precise.
I definitely agree, I've been using a few different moderately priced rigs for the past few years with minimal progression until doing the same. I, too, finally ordered an iwata and have been using it for a couple of weeks now as you have, and the difference is like night and day for me. The response and control are awesome, and the nozzle setup cleans up and flows so much easier and better. I now find myself wishing that I would have just bought one to begin with like I originally planned. HP-BS with small non-removable 1.5 cc cup. I love it, and that's no BS. 😏✌🏻
I have a few talons and couple visons they are all just as good or better then the iwata I go to my vison for detail over my iwata are you sure it's not user error?
Nice vid as allways. This mite be the upcoming airbrush i will get if its avalable over seas. Love the look of it. Hm btw here is a oftopic when u hollow ur models what is ur setting on the wall at ? Duo to u dont cure it on the inside ? Keep the vids coming :D
Amen! The ProCons (Mr. Hobby) are really Iwatas, solid, nice weight…SprayGunner has em for $77 not much more than the Black Widow..and so far i’m saying mine is garbage…cool looking but garbage!!
Just because of the lack of parts I may not get it, instead I would get an Iwata for the same price but thanks for the review. next time I'm at Harbor freight I'll check it out.
The warranty sucks, if they can't stand behind their products whats that say, The cheap throw away brush has a better warranty. I guess you can make your own warranty when it breaks on day 100 you can just buy a new go back a week later with the garbage!!!! I'd have both if they gave it a year, the Gaahleri airbrushs have a year warranty and they are awsome and their customer support act on the dime, there are extra parts galore just picked up ghad39 normal 50 bucks but caught a 29 sale so I bought 4. They compare to my gsi creos airbrushes with if ya spend just a little more they have a 5 year warranty.
I got mine a few weeks ago and have put it to the test on a mural job….my consensus? Garbage…..great looking garbage….i used the .3 tip it came with and it worked ok once or twice…the next time I used it? Clogged….everything was clean but it wouldnt spray…i changed it to the .2 tip and it did the same thing…my Iwatas and Mr. hobby’s don’t behave like this! Even when i forget to clean the cup the night before they still spray great! Save yourself the $70 and upgrade to the PS-289 Mr. Hobby that #spraygunner sells, you’ll thank me later?!! Oh and don’t get me started on the Black Widow compressor 😬😡
@@TheCreativeCollectori wonder….neither .2 or .3 will spray right now…and this is only Createx and Golden High Flow Acrylics….i dont have time to mess w this thing…my Iwatas dont act like this!!! Time for a refund and go get another Mr. Hobby at #spraygunner!!!
Oh dear lord that matte black looks like a pain. In the. Ass to clean. And dafuq is the inside of the cup sprayed black😂😂😂 who is that lazy. Nicest thing about it is the copy of the H&s trigger on the 2024 evo. Is a spitting image.

Where can you buy the spare parts?
@DylanKowalski123 the booklet that comes with it has a part list and phone number
This man is extremely talented

I picked up the pistol grip one today for ceramic coating wheels and grills. My Snap-on airbrush shit the bed after 3 uses.

Absolutely.
I bought me one today and I was very excited to use it and it just kept pushing air out of it. I hit the throttle and it didn’t matter. I don’t understand it.
Oh man that sucks! I hope you can get it sorted out.

Yeah my audience doesn't generally get too technical. They mainly want to see simple functionality.
Man you made my day! Guys at work keep asking what brand they should buy and I've been steering them towards the badger patriot but the price keeps going up on them.
Solid honest review. Well done, sir! Thanks for taking the time to share this product!

I was told by the company that you can order parts online.
Great review, I see you have what look like a paint both with lights on it. Where can that be purchased at or if you build them, how much
The booth I have can be purchased through Gallheri on Amazon
Airbrushes do make a difference, I just started using an Iwata Eclipse (about $130.00) and wow, light years better than my Gahlerri Ace or Paasche Talon.
See....I've used that one for a bit and didn't see a big difference. 😕

What kind of paint can you use in this airbrush?
Acrylic
Looks like a nice brush visually.
It is. I've been painting with it and it's a good one

I usually thin my walls at 1.8mm
Oki thx alot will try it to at 1.8mm and see if its able to cure inside of it i dont have any uv flash light only curing station
Creative Collector, Uncle Jessy finished his 7'0-foot Magento figure, how's things going with you? Would the model be the Punisher?
That one is yes. I'm currently working on my life-size Punisher too.
That’s not paint on that airbrush, it’s anodized aluminum. Thinner or any other chemical isn’t going to remove it.
Well thats good to know.
Can confirm the the finish does come off with airbrush cleaner
@andrewgonzalez4242 Mine hasn't yet
Or....you could forget this thing and get the Mr. Hobby PS-289 0.3mm for around the same price.
There's a lot of choices!

That is a cheap price unlike iwata version cost
I'm gonna have to check this out

Well hopefully they stand behind it. It's a fairly new brush so we'll see.
I got a 2 year warranty with mine yesterday for 17 bucks. If anything breaks at all they exchange for new one off shelf
I don’t even care if it’s good. I like that it looks cool lol
It definitely looks cool. lol
I drop mine and it broke, cheap plastic parts
you didn't show how to clean it...
That's something you should already know how to do.
