It was so frustrating to watch our trash guards throwing passes to the wrong team or dribbling off their own shoes! Literally nobody looked like they knew what they were doing! If he had a real pg passing to him it would’ve been way different! He’s definitely a monster in the paint though! He affects so much on defense just with his size and reach alone. He’d definitely going to be a game changer once he gets his NBA legs under him. They need to cut those shitty Summer leagur guards too! Absolutely atrocious!

He was getting cooking on those pick & rolls all day long. Defense wise he reminds of Joel pryzbilla off those pick n rolls. The game has evolved and center going to have to play up on the pick & roll. A center can no longer sit in the paint all day. Pick and roll jump shot then pick and roll and drove it to the basket on him but he had one block when they took it to the rim on him . He needs to lose some pounds. He was jogging up the caught like it wasn’t a live game. I hope this doesn’t burn us in the long run.
Worth noting too San Antonio had been playing games in California. clingan hasn’t played a real game like this since ncaa. Not at real game speed anyway. Maybe a couple friendly like the rest of the Portland squad but that’s it
He's obviously still growing into his basketball god bod, it takes time, and he's only 20. But once his conditioning is up and he's playing in proper half-court sets instead of running back on D every time a guard handles the ball he'll be an elite practitioner of the painted area.

The other guy plays all out and stays on the court. you don't think the Spurs knew the Blazers would take the risky pick over the established one. What about Memphis this year. Houston the year before. History, go look at it. Last 6 drafts have been crap for the Blazers and there were a lot of good players and a couple of All stars that they missed out on because they are as stupid as fans like you that support what they are doing

You and Joe though on a do over would still take Sharpe. What about Scoot over Thompson and Clankin over Edey. No comments on that. Cronin is a hack that should be handling janitorial duties at the Moda, not handling personnel decisions

It’s their first real game, after only a week of scrimmaging with his own team. Even real NBA starters and all stars take some time in the pre-season to re-acclimate to the pace of the NBA game. This is normal.
