- Hi! Welcome to my channel! This week I take you along as I visit the town of Leavenworth, Washington. Founded in 1892, Leavenworth was a booming town! In the 1960's, after the rapid decline of businesses and residents leaving, Leavenworth was turned into a Bavarian tourism town in hopes to save it. Leavenworth is more beautiful during winter when snow hit those mountains peaks is becomes magical
Yes Leavonworth sure is beautiful at christmas time with all the christmas lights on you should go back there during Christmas time.
I came to the comments to say the same thing. Christmas at Leavenworth is part of my family's holiday traditions.
The unhappy Superman nutcracker at 1:11 cracks me up! I think your car refrigerator is more practical for your travels than having to constantly change up your ice and will probably keep your food fresher in the long run. Enjoy catching up with your friends!
Coyotes and Badgers will often hunt together. There are videos on UA-cam. Fascinating to watch!

Leavenworth is awesome. During the Holidays, it's a Winter Wonderland. There are a lot of beautiful trails.

I have the same fridge! Amazing how much food you can fit in there. Just used the fridge/freezer option a few weekends ago. Worked well.

Hi Sarah, Leavenworth has so much to offer. One of my friends brother lives there and he spent Christmas there. He said the town was Amazing at Christmas time you will have to see one day!!🎄 Beautiful scenic shot of the lake,trees then the mountains. Nice fridge👍 6mile hike!😮.omygosh nice waterfall with the stream. Very healthy yogurt..Those darn spoons😅 oh! 40-love!!🎾 You have a spinning serve!😳👍your good! I played doubles in highschool lol great sport!! Hey puppydogs?!🤔😊 why is it the forks or spoons disappear! Lol..oh nice shots of wildlife and whitewater rafting to top it off! That waterfall at the end of your hike was amazingly beautiful. It was quite impressive to see you having the energy to swing a tennis racket after doing a six hour hike in 90+ degree heat. It's great that you're taking full advantage of your youth and good health while you have it. I fondly remember those days. I'm so glad that you got to enjoy some quality time with an old friend. Whitewater rafting is always a blast. Love your videos. Keep up the quality work. We appreciate coming along with you.

Quaint Little town of Leavonworth reminds me of Swedish town of Solvang Ca, that nutcracker museum was pretty cool. Thanks for Sharing... as always happy trails and stay safe.

You're in my neck of the woods :) I live nearby Leavenworth (in Wenatchee) and it would've felt like a celebrity sighting to think "...is that...Sarah Berkowitz?" Love that you got to visit and enjoy our side of the mountains.

Hopefully you take the detour to Yellowstone after spending time with your friends. Temps triple digits on eastern Washington this weekend, fridge upgrade definitely worth the investment.

Pickleball! Try it! It will be A LOT easier to find games and the community has been super friendly so far. When I get on the road for good next year I’m bringing my gear and making it a point to play in different cities. Can’t wait.

Hurray and congrats on getting a non ice cooler/refrigerator you're going to love the convenience of it all. It certainly looked like Leavenworth was an interesting place to visit especially the Nutcracker museum and seeing your childhood pictures of Nutcracker performances was a hoot! Hopefully you get to visit with Nikki this summer and bring us along too,

Leavenworth has been fully taken over by corporations. You visit a Bavarian town and there's still McDonald's, Starbucks, 76, holiday inn... under a set of pretty signs. Hope you can stay cool out there this week.

Hi Sarah, I am now 70 and sold my home in Sonoma and drove across the country... I have to come to be a nervous wreck when it comes to driving on the Highways and Interstates. I just drove from Virginia Beach to Spartanburg, South Carolina. I now feel like I am "stuck" here because I am unwilling to drive and don't even know where to go; I thought I would like it here. I wish I were more like you!!

Driving can be tough! Maybe there are other routes you can take to avoid highways?
Hi lorij9649! The interstate and limited access hi-ways are indeed daunting, especially when in strange environs. Just do what I do; I take state routes and backroads. Most everyone else is in a hurry and I am retired, so have no need to be in a rush!

The knives always seem to be the last utensils left in the box, and its an ingenious idea to use them "out of the box." I've used them with ice cream. :)
